  1. options 'special' tab 'arm bending'? what does this do?
  2. Exactly these tailhook, masterarm, have Up/Dwn, ON/OFF definitions, so you don't need additional commands. A/A mode, AG mode are toggles but that's not a problem in these cases I'd say?
  3. That's the 'get all countermeasures thrown out of their canisters in a hurry' button. It's a high emergency button and don't think it's implemented yet (for has no high priority one would presume).
  4. Or, you exercise a bit and pull back throttle before you even touch the flaps switch and immediate after, you monitor your speed box, not for speed, but for the rate of change of the speed (like in, juggle your throttle so the rate of change is reasonably slow and steady so to where you're going with it to on-speed).
  5. Here you are, my DX 120 button tmc’s for the TARGET virtual combined joystick, this can be used for any plane TMWH, not my design, it defines all middle position and Off positions with a DX number for use in the DCS control panel. THUS, when defining bindings in DCS Control, you have to KEEP the switch to the definition position, unlike the original, or you’re defining the Off position when you let go of the switch. This is a cleaned up definition TMWH DX tmc from my own (lots of my stuff was edited in there), F18_DX120.tmc , have NOT checked for bugs afterwards you also need targetdx120.tmh which is the linked file as per ‘include "targetdx120.tmh"’ to replace/update the target.tmh in the program \TARGET\scripts directory from DX32 to DX120, also somewhat cleaned, please when compile ('RUN') 1st time with TARGET Script Editor, read the compilation output at the bottom, to find possible error codes. CLEANED DX120 DCS TMWH.rar
  6. (Or use TARGET. I use TARGET to define 120 DX states on the TMWH virtual combined joystick, for even to include middle positions, so you can do Release states from the DCS control interface (which is DirectX))
  7. That RL view would be a great implementation for VR
  8. Anticipate, in this case if a surge of lift is to be expected from extending flaps, you (I) back the throttle 'to lose the equal amount of lift that is added on the other side', time 'the cancelling effect to pass a certain time slot', after which one pushes the throttle back towards where one regulates the desired on-speed. Actually I do this equally off the catapult, wheels off the deck, back the throttle, wait for the anticipated time to pass, and throttle up for on-speed departure pattern (at eh what was it 500 or 700 ft daylight), thus not having to fight pitch up.
  9. As I said I connected a 5$ ebay microphone, but also, certain words, I am no native english speaker and mix american with Brit accents, so some commands VA simply and stubbornly will not understand (from me) f.i. "Chaff" to drop a chaff, when VA will simply keeps rejecting this word (tomatoes, tomatoes), I stop VA, I then start windows "speech recognition" I switch this on clicking the microphone "listening" Right click menu and "Open the Speech Dictionary" do "add a new word" type in word "chaff" - next - check "Record a pronunciation upon finish" - finish - do "Record" say "chaff" in microphone - check the recording by "listen" - "finish" this, the word "Chaff" is no freshly added to the dictionary with your own voice. End windows "speech recognition" Restart VA Voila, new word "chaff" recognized.
  10. same here, have an Ebay 5$ (or something) button microphone hooked up on a boom in front of me, which Does give enough signal for VA to work with - with windows 30db 'Boost' setting. Rift microphone does not have a 'boost' setting in the driver. Day and night.
  11. I reverted to previous (or release, same) Then re-updated @openbeta Fixed YMMV
  12. broken install
  13. Do Stennis ATC landing lights - at the moment - work in Release? (Broken in Openbeta)
  14. I just noticed problems depending on the mission, erratic TACAN ICLS not working Downgraded DCS to a previous version, upgraded again, fixed.
  15. you need sensor diamond on TV screen
  16. Sensor diamond on TV screen? your pitch has double binding in controls ?
  17. Or, the indent is a PITN because you have to lift the 2 handles and I just keep an eye on RCtrl+Enter where max military is.
  18. I run the Oculus Tray Tool prog Which is somehow broken and won't start Oculus Home (to start the goggles up) automatically sometimes. So I then start Oculus Home separately but with a different exe (I think Oculus changes this) then mentioned here: "C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-client\OculusClient.exe" starts Home (and thus your goggles through the running service) BTW My Oculus runs smoother with the Oculus Tray Tool prog Pixel density (SS aliasing) at "0" which rather is "1" and set this pixel density in DCS VR section at 2.0 (your mileage may vary) It appears these work separately and in dense missions, my DCS will start to stutter, which this solved (mind you my FPS barrels down to 22 sometimes, but no stutter on my 8600k@4.8Mhz/GTX 1080 rig and lots going on)
  19. When I do ground attacks a lot I sometimes forget the Sidewinder releases with the Gun trigger switch while the other AA release by the release weapon switch .. ?
  20. Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS Hotas is cheap and has enough good reviews, its presently sold for 100$, pfff (I run a TMWH AND a Logitech G940, the G940 mostly just for the buttons on the base/and/or for helicopters with FFB) Can't have enough buttons, I'm already thinking of soldering such a DIY 'button box' run with an arduino chip for more buttons/encoders BTW A TMWH is expensive but if something breaks one can most of the time fix it, whilst it already will not break down as easily as cheaper plastic stuff.
  21. Someone else mentioned this exact problem, he uninstalled and reinstalled the module (prob your exports mod messed up the install)
  22. disable your export mod and chk your main monitor?
  23. there's a warm up time from takeoff 1st time, shows a timer (2:30 I think I remember), air start no warm up time
  24. ME Noob here. I have 4x separate fire-at-point @ SAM sites advanced waypoint actions Condition is TIME MORE couple of second from Stennis group with 3x CG60-Normandy The cruise missiles fire from the CG60-Normandy’s but all keep firing at the 1st SAM ‘point’ ? How to fire the next Task to the next defines (SAM) Fire-to-point ?
  25. IceFire, you will be correct of course concerning the RL flow of protocol landing things in deep dark nights, but I (the one who mentioned the 'solution' of night goggles), simply mentioned this considering 1. a simulation situation wearing VR goggles that can only provide limited contrast 2. the DCS Stennis deck landing lights having a spell of not working. I did land without NVG in a DCS - clouded - night (clouds make orientation even worse) by solely referencing the ICLS needles flying horizon and needles (and a vague VR goggles meatball guessing), which by the way you, IceFire, are remarkably and amazingly good at, and is what I see actual jet pilots are all rather amazingly good at in their YouTube videos, but in my case of a DCS - clouded - night this was a rather haphazard exercise crashing blindly into a black hole on the deck not even being able to distinguish the white deck lights and the Stennis island a vague towering shadow that flashed by to the right, hence my (temporal) idea regarding the lesser beings.
