  1. Ya, the ACM cover is an "all hands on deck" for WVR engagement for the plane and sets it up fully for dogfights and i think it bypasses TWS for STT lock. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  2. Make sure your ACM switch is down. Had this happen to me, only to realize my ACM switch was on, so the PHs launched in mad dog rather than take tracking information from the Tomcat. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  3. To be fair, you said "sTinger" not "singer" - they're different. Words means things. Jester needs work, HB has acknowledged that this is on their to-do list I believe. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  4. They don't have enough available information in the public to build a D model. So most unlikely. Tomcats pretty competitive tho I find in the MP world...It's king in BVR and holds its own in WVR. It's really only let down by a lack of SA and an ok IF system and a larger learning curve, but having a real person in the back helps alleviate the first 2 a lot. Which is pretty true to form for the real thing as well. I think the upcoming Typhoon will outclass everything in DCS, esp if they build a Tranche 2 or 3 version. 5. You'll need to bind "weapon selector up" & "weapon selector down" in the controls menu. Highly suggests you look up "Chuck Owls F14 guide" Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  6. I believe it'll go Pitbull at 16 secs. Knowing that will help a little bit to know when it goes PB until they implement the feature. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  7. I was having this problem too... Didn't know over g would break it! Impressive modeling... How Gs is breaking it tho? 6.5? 10? I had this problem on the dogfight server and it was really stressing me out when the gunsight would drift and i had no idea how manually aim! Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  8. Yes... And? Tomcat pilots were promised that the TF30 was originally just for research & development... And then the Navy stuck them there for almost 20 years [emoji1787] I hope you bend over backwards at your job for your customers as much as put into demanding from others from their jobs. 9. No one disagrees with it being more realistic. We're disagreeing on the fact that you guys are expecting things to be done tomorrow. They have quite a bit of coals in the fire and probably have over extended themselves and probably did not expect that many bugs upon release or fm adjustments... Nothing in life ever goes according to plan and I'm OK with that and harping on this subject doesn't do much good when we already know they have been on holiday and will be getting back to it ASAP. And again... They're already a lot better than what ED has done and promisied with their mods so I can forgive them for the delay. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  10. It's fine to be nitpicky and asking for the features promised but they also said they were taking time off for the holidays after working flat out the previous holidays. Honestly... Cut them a small break as the Tomcat is already one of the best modules in DCS even if it's still on EA. Check out the Vipers complaints... No gun radar, no TWS upon release, not even a damage model upon release! Now if it was 2 years later... Like the FA18 (lolz) then ya, go after them. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  11. Bomb mode +1...Don't focus on the basket, it's really throttle sensitive - so use a point of reference on the tanker, trim the plane out like it's in formation and just close in super slowly... And never look at the basket! Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  12. Where are those victory documents at? Thanks! Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  13. HB is working on making it "less" tank like actually, i read from Iron Mike. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  14. How's that contradictory? You cherry picked a statement based on nerfing / balancing the plane's performance and trying to apply that to adequate RWR warnings. How's that even remotely relatable to the subject at hand? HBs Tomcat flies with the 17, it should appropriately get the RWR label. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  15. Actually, this is true for me too. When I look at the TID, my frame rates drop to 20 in VR. Looking straight ahead or moving my head left to right (over the ocean) it'll maintain 40. I7-8700 @4.5ghz/32gb RAM/1070/Rift S. I always figured it was because of the heavy textures in the cockpit. How would i send a track & log files? Sorry, dcs noob! 16. If it's anything like the some of the race cars I've driven, it is impossible to keep the inside even remotely clean... And that's just at a race track. For them, We're talking about ocean salt, hydraulic fluids, jet gas, and whatever else lives on the flight deck. And honestly, the ride has been verified by SMEs... so when HBs SME jump in and say this is what their actual Tomcat ride looked like and it's like jumping back into the real thing, that's all I have to go by and that's more than enough for me because honestly, anything else at best, is just a guess. And ya, my own track car and the race cars I've been in all looks like a llama took a dump in it [emoji23] Edit: this was posted over on Hoggit: handprints on the belly of the jet. The kids working on the planes definitely didn't care about making it look clean, lol. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  17. The plane is fine the way it is...the weathering just makes the plane feel more authentic and like it has seen its fair share of use. A clean F-14 just means Heatblur didn't give a shit about making the plane feel authentic. And so what if some of the labels are hard to read in VR - if you're reaching down near your hips, it means you're either starting the plane or flying when it's pretty damn slow outside anyways. I'm never reaching down there when it's hot around you.
