  1. I've struggled with these too, but seeing this thread has helped. Tell me if any of these statements are incorrect: 1. The 802s will always steer to RP1 first, followed by RP2, then RP3, RP4, and finally RP5, in that order. 2. They cannot skip an RP, nor can they alter the sequence of RPs. 3. The route will end when the 802 encounters a null RP, or has steered through all five RP5. For example, RP1, RP2, RP4, and RP5 have been specified, but RP3 has been left null. The 802 will cease its route once it encounters the null RP3, even though RP4 and RP5 have been specified. 4. When the route ends, regardless of the manner, the 802 will then turn to its designated PP.
  2. Loopback, can you confirm that the DTOS function is intended for tossing bombs?
  3. I saw a mention in a different thread that some of the export codes have changed. I haven't verified the statement, but if true, that could explain it. I also noticed in the JF-17, the 8 UFC arrow keys no longer send a code through your script tester. Related perhaps?
  4. It's not as complex as it seems. He just needs a technical writer to polish the instructions.
  5. If that happens again, try dropping your speed below 300. Sometimes they'll continue moving, if they haven't been damaged too bad.
  6. That must make it a real pain to troubleshoot, since you can't reliably recreate the problem. I wonder if module installation date might be a factor. I installed on day 1, so maybe there's some artifact that's ultimately corrupting the export data. I'll save my keymapping and then reinstall the module and see if that yields any different results.
  7. I'm having the same issue with the JF-17: data is exported to my device, just not the LCD data. I just had a thought about that: the F-18 UFC in your app displays 88 in each radio LCD until the game loads and starts exporting live data to it, but your JF-17 LCD does not have any similar "placeholder" LCD characters. Should it? If so, perhaps that's a clue to the problem..?
  8. Yeah, that's what I'm seeing with my tests, but I'm not getting any flight path cue like I would in Auto mode. I'm getting the pickle cue tone thing, but that's it.
  9. Your lua doesn't seem to include the LCD characters. Is it possible to export that as well?
  10. Yes, AB to Off and ENG to Training. That works very well for me 90% of the time.
  11. Has anyone else tried the DSC UFC app, which includes the JF-17 UFC, MFCDs, status lights, and caution panel? It's pretty slick, though still a work in progress. The MFCDs and UFC work, but aren't yet getting data exported from DCS. Actually, as of yesterday's update, the UFC LEDs are supposed to be working, but it's not on mine (I'm working with the developer to figure it out). It's not free, but when it's done, I think it will have been well worth the cost. DCS UFC app
  12. That argument only works if few people are willing to pay full price. The fact that you're not willing to isn't necessarily indicative of a greater trend. Why would it? You're playing one of the most expensive games out there. If you're poor, why aren't you playing cheaper sims, or at least limiting yourself to cheaper low-fidelity DCS planes?
  13. I recall setting one to 80 degrees a few weeks ago and seeing it dive pretty much straight down, but I wasn't specifically testing it. I'll try it again and see. I'm curious how low a 0 degree impact angle actually comes in.

  15. I don't understand what you mean. AG1 and AG2 just limit the maximum Gs.
  16. Once you get lined up, engage Attitude Hold, which will significantly dampen stick response. Just make sure you don't move outside of the hold parameters.
  17. If my missile can be controlled by my flight lead's datalink pod, then what happens when I have my own datalink pod and we're fighting for control of the same missile? It seems like there would have to be some cross-reference between missile and datalink pod. Shrike, we should try that out some night.
  18. It can be frustrating, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE that they modeled damage to this level.
  19. Seriously? Until you guys mentioned it, I never even noticed it. Now that I do know about it, it has made zero difference in my experience. Function before form.
  20. Talk to me about this please. Is it a HOTAS control? How does it know what the target is? When controlling two MitL missles, I've switched back and forth, and they've remained aiming pretty much where I left them, so how does this ATA improve that?
  21. I haven't done any efficiency testing (no FPAS page, FYI), but it feels just as thirsty as the 18. However...using the different engine modes, you can significantly increase fuel efficiency. I almost always switch the engine to Training mode, which limits the RPM to...oh shoot...97%ish or something like that, and turn the afterburner off. By doing so, I can get away with using no external fuel tanks in almost all missions. Yes, they'll be adding AAR capability. When? No idea.
  22. Does that mean that the ability of other DCS Tpods to ground stabilize at >20nm is not realistic?
  23. FYI, you may have to scroll to the right to see the TrackIR column.
  24. Can SAMs engage the LS-6 in real life?
