what it sounds like is that you have missed the critical step of clearing ALL the default button assignments that DCS has assigned to your stick. **I'm not at home- so be careful. I can't describe it like it was in front of me. Ensure my steps are accurate before executing step..** Leave commands on ALL- and highlight something in the column under your stick- you might have to scroll down a bit and find an assigned command and highlight that. That should light up that column and/ OR your device name (in a bluish) back at the top of column. Up at the top- to left of device columns is a "clear category" Clear ALL the columns relating to the devices you want to program.. Saitek users would typically see 1 device right? Are the stick and throttle wired together still? Saitek rudders might mean 2 devices- not sure. DO NOT CLEAR THE KEYBOARD COLUMN IF THERE IS ONE. Bottom line is- Program the BUTTONS in SST. This includes trim & usually maverick/tgp camera slewing. There can be exceptions to this- won't get into that now.. Program the AXIS in DCS. THRUST (L& R if applicable) WHEEL BRAKES (L& R if you have rudders) PITCH ROLL

I also agree with trying to "encourage" TS use. What I'll be trying on ours is if I have someone who is being a PITA with a million chat questions- I'll tell him straight up to join TS or be ignored. The Aussie server also broadcasts a message with the TS info every few minutes- Mine will soon, I think.. I doubt I will encounter much trouble beyond that, but if someone chooses to - I got me an eject handle for the server as well as the plane.. Couple other random thoughts- Put TS instructions in brief- warn that a kick may result if you don't join.. I never said that servers don't have a right do do whatever they want.. You absolutely do. I just don't agree with locking people out in the abscence of private squad activities, testing a mission.. This worry about troublemakers is unfounded. Anonymity is not an option anymore. Typing yourself a fake name in the slot isn't going to help. Similarly- this worry about dummies is too. To varying degrees- we ALL need more knowledge- don't you think? "Sorry- not training right now" "You need to be on TS to get help/ fly in here"

(SPI) Target located off to that side? I have noted that the HUD symbolgy for the SPI and the ASL do not always line up straight. Meaning that I can have that ASL/TTRN DEAD center of the CCRP and the SPI looks a little off.. Still hits though..other than the falling short thing from time to time. Can you maneuver some to center it up? (quickly- need to be level and steady to drop)

The GAU stutters were quite bad.. " GAU Pauses" would be accurate too. Great news. If you didn't have them- you were blessed.

The Su 33 of all things will supercruise in LOMAC. Funny.. (clean-MIL PWR)

Besides- now you can totally bork a mission- and no one will be the wiser! Just blame it on GG. :D This would be a good time for me to learn it, hell...

well to each his own- but I don't think anyone should be sweating a mission malfunction due to the sim's beta status.. We're all going through it together. (I've been running MadTommy's "Operation Cherkessk" for several nights- no one is giving me any grief.. So what if you have a Predator traveling underground? We can all laugh together.

Dane you will see a S77th Recruitment server up frequently. Keep your eyes peeled for it. It's not up 24/7 obviously. If you have TS 3- you can go to s77th.com (forums) and click on the TS window at the top and you'll be in. Get on TS channel before flying in any public server.. If it's a 104th server- go to their site and get TS info, etc.. You can make bookmarks in TS too. Gotta do it. No one is going to put a big effort into training via the chat function.. Fingers will fall off.. it's mentally and literally tiring.. You can even get on it and not be flying- say if you have verbal questions, etc. If others on TS are not busy flying etc. -they'll help.

Just a suggestion- limit the number of slots. Then perhaps you could leave it open? Set mine to 8 (20/5 "on paper") @ others- The miniscule fraction of morons cannot escape their real ID anymore. IP's are easy now. Name em, shame em,(on your own forums-not here) and ban em. Don't warn them. Then pass it on to other admins. As an admin of 2 DCS servers- I welcome this behavior in a way. Meaning-it'd be my pleasure to get the ball rolling (over their virtual heads.)

In the old days you would right click the icon in the system tray and then left click the profile that you named to load it.. Shouldn't be wildly different today..

The only offline flying I do is to check or test a setting and occasionally a training mission.

Regular version of "Operation Cherkessk" started at about 11:50 est 20/5 FIOS server in Virginia, US Have fun. I'm in a plane-but away from keyboard for a while.

Confirmed tonight while hosting operation cherkessk. I must have failed to make the mav the SOI. Now the cross did not close like I expected it to- but that is likely because the target was a comms tower. My 38's got hung.. Followed wag's reload procedure- red stations gone, but status was still failed..

Hawg- what mission are you flying? Is there no briefing for you? No flightplan loaded? It's kind of hard to even begin to tell you what might be wrong.. but in any case- what you're asked for ain't gonna happen. Unless there's something in that "game mode" that does this... which would be thoroughly nauseating..
