The HARM? I don't think that capability is in service.. I'm not sure that that missile really fits into the A10's doctrine. Even if the avionics could be carried... which I do not think is plausible even in a self contained pod. I don't know if anyone wants to put an A10 into that kind of risk given it's speed, etc.. HARM does not have unlimited range. I mean you gotta get kind of up in there- and then be able to get out quickly if things get bad... Doesn't mean there isn't some skunkworx-type mad scientist giving it a try, though... :D

Yes. I can confirm that. Made a gun run on some Trucks- from behind- as soon as one of them was hit (or thereabouts) the single file column parted like the red sea.. The alternating left and right seems a little more script-y than say- trucks randomly hauling ass in every direction, but hey... one thing at a time..

Anyway- Lonecrow- my point was that If you bought it from ED maybe they would let you exchange it for/ credit you towards Platinum or whatever.. I don't know. If unopened- return it obviously.. Here in States- Platinum is pretty cheap- cheap enough so that if I got stuck with a useless copy of FC only wouldn't be that big a deal. Sell it on ebay...

True- but FC is likely to be developmentally finished. There's no reason to believe that ED will invest further in it. I'm not sure if anything official was announced, but.. seems improbable.

sounds about like Saitek to me.. Unplug, save your profile to desktop or something.. remove all software .. reboot, reinstall. If that fails- you'll have to contact Saitek to confirm hardware failure, or if there is a problem that they can fix with a firmware update, etc..

1 minor Error in this training mission- Instructor has you set HSI course to 130- it should be 125. Set it to 130 and on approach- you can see that the HSI is aligned to the right of the runway.

Remember the series "Year in the Life- Blue Angels"? One of the pilots, A Marine- a GORILLA of a Marine- turned out that he was simply unable to cope with the Gforces without fast pants. He made it through the hellish gauntlet of all the pre-requisite flight training- acheived his dream- made it to the freakin Blue Angels (another hellish evaluation process)... and had to leave due to the sickness caused by G's. I wonder if the Marines put him through the wringer after the fact- Addt'l centrifuge time, etc. to make sure he was fit to fly.. Seemed like a helluva great guy.

I'm guessing that I'm doing something wrong on the comms part... Yeah- the AI will always have issues. There isn't any one thing- it's the sum total. When I factor in all-knowing, insta-locate/lock/fire from ridiculous angles, plus my extremely high workload A10, plus my general NoOb-ness .. I'd make it a little harder on that AI plane to defend the base.. Also- I must say- I can't see a DAMN thing.. (all over- not your mission) I hope the visibility improves.. I watched the AI defender's missile launch from the rail- couldn't see him AT ALL. Looked like it came from open water and the damn thing was only 2-3 miles away? gawd... maybe it's an ATI thing.. Many LOMAC versions ago there was a terrible haze bug for Radeon card owners..

Emergency Landing of sorts.. Was notified on short final that I was missing the tire off my port side L/G (apparent battle damage) Attempted landing anyway. Very light touchdown- but of course I skidded off the runway. Lost front tire too. But note that the struts are intact even after a reasonably long skid.. Wal Mart sells it online. Seems that they would have a relatively easy return policy- meaning return it to a store down the street. Better read policy to be sure though. Also- they would likely have a warranty like Best buy where they relax the return restrictions, etc. This policy saved me from 2 frickin gimpy Saitek X45's
