Did you try putting it into saved games/mods/aircraft/f4u-1d/cockpit/textures? the folders will need to be created

Putting authenticity and peoples personal gaming preferences aside, the question was not about ethics or realism, it was more that I had seen it as a keybinding in-game, I was curious as no other DCS warbird had an autopilot, but since it also listed attitude hold as well i imagined if they bothered to include it then it would have some rudimentary functionality, which it doesnt seem to have. It would be useful to know if its me not engaging it properly or the devs not enabling it, now I suspect the latter.

Looking really nice - I welcome some clearer labelling in the cockpit, even better if it can be made a bit lighter.

I assumed it was a cheat for a quick tea break but since it was present I assumed attitude hold also had a function, which it does nto seem to have

Can someone explain the attitude hold function? I see no difference in autopilot functionality between the wing level/alt hold and the attitude hold option. I thought it might fix the planes attitude on a bank or climb when engaged but it just sems to level off just like the autopilot engage?

Keybinds for the rocket box controls would be handy, its so dark down there and a very awkward angle to see anything

I love flying the Mosquito, great cockpit, great feel. Spitfire is excellent but interior graphics lookig a bit dated now (i have been spoilt by the excellent FlyingIron Spit for MSFS) but I really love flying the tiny speedy BF109, it has a very different feel. P-47 doesnt press my buttons so I never press hers.

Until someone puts a guide together, your best bet is to watch a couple of the corsair youtube videos already out there about startup, taxi & takeoff

i'd be interested to know this too - my quest 3 is struggling hard to keep up in the corsair cockpit. I tried both but tbh didnt feel there was much difference.

the wing lock lever is your friend.

the video gives a good explanation, i know i really push y-sat and curves trying to tame the gazelle, i'll retest it with 65 y-sat and 30 curve, see how it feels.

Try bringing your saturation levels down too - try 85% to feel the resolution difference on pitch and roll. The engine has such huge toque its easy to get a bit squrrelly when changing rpm or man pressure. It feels heavy like the P-47 but I agree it feels nowhere near as stable. What I am quite disappointed about is the sound, just a constant gentle purr, barely audible in the cockpit even with canopy open. I miss that audi feedback of engine speed you get with teh other warbirds. I get no 'feel' for how fast she's flying.

This issue has been with me for probably 2 years and Ive been getting really frustrated with playing SP and MP online missions as totally unable to bring up the menu via esc key or any other keymapping. cant check or change control assignments or exit the game without a ctrl+alt+del.

yep - first thing i checked. Second was had i loaded the laser-guided rockets or dumb ones by mistake I'll try again in a different scenario

Is it just me or has the last update (yesterday 19/2/25) broken the ability for the APKWS rockets to track the laser to their target? I spent the last few days nailing the procedure for these so I dont think its pilot error?

I have a vkb hotas stick combined with a saitek x52 throttle. I have a shift or modifier key on the throttle controller, and another shift key on the hotas, the vkb software allows different commands for short-press or long-press on any key, so when Im flying 2D flat screen I have one of the hats access the seat position commands - fwd, back, up, down, on long-press, then it returns to normal usage as a TDC. This sounds worth a try - thanks

Thats a clever idea, I should be able to emulate any keypresses with my VKB Hotas joystick - the software is very flexible and powerful (and complex) but there's not many buttons or hats not already assigned to most modules.

Thanks but not sure this is the solution I'm looking for - there's still a lot of movement of the cursor over the buttons, its not an issue for me on the ground during startup. Im looking for a way of fixing the image in VR when I focus in on a bank of switches or an MFD, in the same way that a custom snap view freezes the image of a specified view in 2d & track-IR. While you can set up custom snap views in VR as well theres still a lot of movement due to small changes in head position, and the snap views dont seem to save the view angle the same.

Having recently upgraded to a Quest 3 and reaping the benefits of new dlss advances I'm really hooked on flying DCS in VR. However, one thing I really struggle with is accurately pressing some of the buttons I cant map to a HOTAS button press, such as the keys around the MFD's. What I really like in track-ir is use of the snap views - I can create a custom snap view to zoom in on the left & right mfd and while that key is held the image is stabilised while I press the button using the mouse. If I could get a similar feature when flying in VR I'd find it so much easier to hit the correct buttons while I'm in the air and my head is moving a bit - finding it hard to keep my head (and vr view) absolutely stable to hit some of the buttons. Is there anything in the settings that could help this, that I'm maybe not aware of?

Still getting the issue, both in MP and SP missions as well as some instant action quickstarts. I dont have a winwing or HOTAS profiles

If you want to add a non-russia SU-33 to fly as blue in an existing mission, can you reto-change the mission coalition? Or have to select coalitions at the start of creating a new mission?

Thanks for posting but not working for me, I have latest v1.9.12 beta installed, Im not getting headers and footers but just the magenta box outline, no matter what settings I have in the advanced options as well as the VR-per view setitngs
