When Im driving a vehicle and hit a tree/building/lamppost/other vehicle/soldier/park bench/other objects also available, it won't reverse back out again although reverse gear engages. If I press 'C' for auto-mode, then press 'C' again to take back control, it then lets me return to normal driving, back out away from the crushed object and resume my journey. Is this a bug or a feature?

well tbh thats a right pain! I found the LEV knob upper right of the centre display turns down the green screen overlay brightness but it doesnt seem to be mappable to a keypress or jystk button or jystk axis.
-
How do you turn down the green TADS screen in CP/G seat? And is F2 exterior view supposed to work differntly when in CPG?
-
Is there any keybinding to change brightness/contrast for the maverick video screen? With IR-mavs selected the white-on-black is hardly visible to me.

This thread really made me laugh. Its like someone driving a car decides to buy a horse then complains they have to sit outside and the gears and indicators are all rubbish as well as the brakes I guess more knowledge about the history of dcs and the legacy of the development of the aircraft would aid the o/p in understanding why the FC3 models are what they are, and not a load of bugs. I have the A10c as well now but bought the fc3 pack at the start of my dcs addiction as they gave me instantly a simpler introduction to dcs which was very affordable across a range of airframes and they are a lot of fun to fly and less complicated for the beginner.

Transfer steerpoints from the F10 map into the aircraft - DCS: The Way

Will there be any plans to bring out a version compatible for the FC3 airframes? -

Both A10C's accept and show the WP's as well as the Harrier. -
I've just upgraded my NXT standard to a premium with the kit VKB sell, its used 90% of the time for dcs, just wopndered what people mapped the rapid fire black trigger for on the nose of the joystick? Why is it called rapid fire?

Now with java updated, KA-50 wp's go in nicely and gives a route line between wp's. A10C and A10CII both import wp's fine, they appear on the map mfd, and Harrier works too but no route line, but I dont know the harrier well enough to judge if thee should be one or how its created from WP's. -

Thanks - runs fine now. Great to see all the wp's and route going into the Abris. Not working here, maybe thats cos I have the java 11 issue that prevents me running the unofficial alpha version? -

Tried the A10c and A10cII but its not accepting the waypoint data entry. Do you have to be in a special mode or setting on the MFD's before trying to import the wp data? Unofficial binary demands that I install Java 11. I tried running again after install but its still asking me - maybe I need a restart first? -

Thanks for this, the KA-50 works fine, route-following with the above procedure but the map display does not show the wp's. The Heli steers nicely along the route though, and no fps issues for me. I will check the A-10cii -

..in the F-16 yes, but how to get the Apache or KA-50 to accept a route input from the tool and not just a set of discrete points? -

This is brilliant! Tested in the F-16 and works perfectly, when I imported a set of waypoints into the Apache and the KA-50 it just imports a discrete set of points and not a course like you get in the F-16. Any way of making the separate wp's into a navigation track? -
but not the nxt standard version
-
Yep - control axes conflicts, now sorted
-
just had a thought - maybe axis assignment conflicts - recently upgraded to new joystick and not yet wiped the old assignments off the controls. Will test and revert - thanks!

Sincel the recent update on openbeta my Viper ALT and ATT hold no longer hold either attitude or altitude. STRG and HDG switches work ok, just the Pitch ones seem to have lost function.

I read a lot of posts on reddit nad youtube about the new nxt's and a few like me who felt it was over-damped. Others said it got easier/smoother after a few weeks, others replaced the grease with nyegel 767a which is lower viscosity. I have now regreased with 767 though the original is really hard to remove, but the reduction in damping is for me a good improvement, the stick never springs back to centre, its still nicely damped, just a lot easier to push around. Will also try the weaker springs shortly when the postman gets here.
-
@petsildNot sure I understand you, do you mean you prefer damping much stronger, when it was new? Which then means the damping gets weaker with use?
-
I just took delivery of my NXT standard today and find it really really stiff on the damping, looks a lot stiffer (no sniggering at the back please) than any of the youtube video reviews I watched. It makes fast movement of the stick almost impossible. Is it supposed to be this stiff and does it ease up a bit after use? I'm pretty sure its the damping and not the default springs it came with, just wondering if I can lower the damping a bit on this model?

Multicrew on dedicated server

It was mentioned in the therad on the AH-64D by another user, IU was keen to see if I could find an answer but I'm pretty sure now its incorrect. -
VKB GLADIATOR NXT - Entry Level Taken to the NXT Level
Sprool replied to UIV's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
I have a programming question - I want to program one button on tempo to go to a shift state (alternate) to allow different functions for the hat switches, and change an always-on LED colour, say from green to orange to tell me if the stick is in state 0 or state 1. I want the shift state button to be tempo so I can still use it as a normal button with a short press but change shift state with a long press. [edit] solved via vkb forum - the level of programming possibilities for this sticjk is mindblowing.
