  1. this fix for the issue with rain at night on the deck of the carrier: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=274716
  2. Thanks guys! I think later tonight or tomorrow I'll updload it!
  3. I had some time today and I have a workaround for the rain issue until ED fixes ir properly: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=274716
  4. At this point, you don't get reflections even with SSLR on.
  5. Object reflections are currently broken, so we can't get exactly what it's shown in the video. I'm sure it wil be fixed soon, but I'd expect a FPS price for that effect...
  6. I've been having a look at the shaders files and it seems that decreasing the RGB contribution of spotlights at night, reduces the brightness of the rain when exposed to a light source, so it is now possible to play in rainy nights with the supercarrier. In this case I've reduced the brightness to 10% of the current values. I'm not sure about posting it in a more official way, like in the mods section or in user files, because I'm pretty sure, being a super easy fix, ED will do a proper update of the effect pretty soon. Anyway, here it is, replace your original file in DCSWorld\Bazar\shaders\precipitation and please, please make a backup of the original! rain_lighting.rar
  7. I've been doing some experiments with the wet deck effect. There is a texture map that controls the amount of reflection when deck is wet. Currently it's a very soft fractal noise that makes causes the reflection to be very uniform and a bit flat. I've added water coming from the padeyes because of the wind, given some structure to the acumulated water and some wind created structures. I think the effect looks kind of cool and over the weekend I'll post a link. I'm also experimenting with the deck roughness and bightness. Supercarrier is a masterpiece and it has a lot of potential for growth, both coming from ED and user mods, I'm really impressed!!
  8. The fix is very simple. You can use the shaders mod, but first delete water.fx from it. Then, you can install.
  9. +1 And thanks guys for asking what we would need!
  10. Yeah, rain at night when affected by floodlights makes the deck completely unusable.
  11. I'm going to search over the weekend for any config in the effects folder to see if I can tweak oppacity as a workaround, right now is unplayable at night with rain :(
  12. Last night I applied the mod with the water patch and now finally I can enjoy my Supercarrier in my Reverb, at any weather conditions, and with a decent amount of planes and equipment on deck (no shadows, though), Thanks!!
  13. I agree, my problem is not the overlay per se, it's the cursor/dot that is very distracting. In my case I have the cursor centered in VR and in the final senconds of approach, the last thing you want is a floating dot on top of where you are looking at :)
  14. Being a carrier enthusiast and after following the develpment of this project for years, I must say THANK YOU and congratulations on this amazing product, the most detailed and mindblowing aircraft carrier ever created for a flight simulator... and this is just the begining, can't wait for future updates. In the next days I'll put together a detailed review from the perspective of another flight sim CV creator. Thanks, Javier
  15. Is there any chance you would allow the possibility of having mods in the Saved Games folder affecting Coremods lua files? (at the user risk of breaking stuff) As I said, personally I run a few mods to tweak stuff to my personal taste like intensity of strobes and other visual elements that have stopped working and I don't have an alternative. Thanks!
  16. yeah, this is very frustrating. Ihad a number of personal mods to tweak stuff to my personal taste that are now useless...
  17. Thanks!! I knew I was missing something!
  18. Good idea. maybe a lot of small objects should be excluded from casting shadows to help performance.
  19. The point is not about NVG. Even without it, I can confirm that it's impossible to make out anything. raindrops get so bright under the floodlights that it looks like hyperspace. I did some tests last night and I agree it's impossible to play at night with rain on the deck. Just check it without NVG on, it looks like star wars. Influence of light on rain should be like 10-20% of the current values.
  20. Is the gain/level control implemented in the sim?
  21. I agree, last night I spent a few hours testing it and shadows seem to be the biggest hit in FPS win my system (9900k, 32Gb, 2080Ti and Hp Reverb). Today I'll do more testing, but other than the FPS hit I'm impressed.
  22. Same here. I used to run a small mod to make the strobes in the F18 brighter and any modification on the coremods now disable the aircraft affected
  23. Thanks guys! I'll save this post in favorites!!
  24. hahaha!!! Since last week, I'm typing DCS Supercarrier in Youtube every 10 minutes to catch any new reviews or videos.
  25. I think in the supercarrier is going to have some importance to render reflections on the wet deck.
