Well I know that Air to Air is the sexiest mission for lot of players but Air to Ground for me is what justify every Air missions : Air to air goal is to clean sky for Strikers, SEAD goal is to clear SAMs for strikers So for me a sole Air to air campaign will not be really realistic ... BUT I'm not sure that DCE is not able to manage this kind of campaigns ... I changed your CAP ref points to close them and the generation was near to be completed : we will investigate that with Miguel And of course in DCE you can play only Air to air missions and protect IA making the History

  10. Thanks for the report Few questions : did you use the Manager to install and generate the missions ? Did you enable Iran-Iraq war Mod in OvGME ? There is a Scriptmod update available using the Manager NG(20.47.107) ...just in case
  11. All my campaigns have been updated to NG version : -Crisis in TF -Over Caucasus (few to come after accepted by ED) -Overs PG -TFs -Iran-Irak War -Indian-Pak War 71 -Roll's Hot War in the Cold I hope I didn't make too much mistakes
  12. Happy that this campaign pleased you . The logic used for it is just mine ;) I wanted to avoid the usual campaigns I made before and found this kind of scenery to be able to change missions and targets. It’s not always possible because with static frontlines, defenses must be destroyed before being able to strike other targets... I think. Sometimes AI are more efficient and destroy SAMs quickly... In TF campaigns I used B-52 to try to destroy SAMs easier ... We are working on a possibility to simulate moving frontline with static units without FPS loss ...
  13. My laptop configuration I use for my dedicated server : Intel I5-4200 CPU @2.8Ghz 8Go RAM - SSD hardrive for system and DCS OB server (That was my sole upgrade) ... DCS World is not running very well but it's really enough for my server

  16. Very very happy that globally DCE is used in MP by squads and that you enjoy it . Mbot gave us a very cool tool to fly in DCS with a credible and realistic environment ! The main mechanisms for creating packages and selecting targets remains mainly based on its original coding. With his tools I tried to prepare, with other designers, campaigns respecting a logic regarding the positioning of targets and defenses as well as air units. Of course that's my logic and what I think makes the most sense. This is not necessarily always the best that could be done. Mbot's DCE is originally designed to simulate attrition warfare with most often an offensive air force attacking fixed targets and a defensive air force. With my first campaigns derived from those of Mbot I tried to introduce a little more balance to diversify the types of mission (interceptions, CAP) with targets in both camps. For the moment we are very limited by moving targets because the missions generated are often difficult to play with low FPS. We are studying the possibilities of artificially moving static units according to various factors (losses, timing, etc.) The track of templates is studied but it may require a lot of work for a sufficiently flexible implementation. While waiting for the release of these new kinds of campaigns, I think it is possible for you to modify the existing campaigns to put them to your liking. You can change the positions of the units in the Base_mission and modify the loadouts with in particular the altitudes and speeds according to the missions. You should also look at the priority values in the target file. I often used the Mbot original values so they are not always very well adapted to new planes introduced in our campaigns. Fell free to change all those settings.
  17. Well the simpliest way to fly a Falcon campaign with DCE for now is to use the Hornet over Caucasus campaign we released after the 2.7 OpenBeta was released. You will be able to use the DCE_Manager we provide to install and generate the first mission then the others in MP so you can chose your plane. You can see my post just above to see how to use a dedicated server
  18. You need to install DCE campaigns on your DCS World OpenBeta server installation like in DCS World OpenBeta ... you will need modscript.lua modification on the server installation too. Use the DCE_Manager to install it and then to generate a firstmission... Then you launch the server (changing options as you like) and load the mission on the server and launch it ... to be sure to be on time pause the server. Launch you normal game and find your server on MP... You have time to read the brief then unpause the server and be ready to fly At the end of the mission you can leave the server on your normal game installation (like a normal player) then, you stop the mission on the server GUI : the debrief and next mission generation will appear so you can proceed like usual. One special thing for the firstmission : the server always launch the last played mission when you open it. So if you close your server after the end of a firstmission even after adding the next mission to the mission list be careful. If the firstmission is still in the list it will launch automatically next time you open your server. You will have to stop the mission generating a debrief txt but even if you refuse the result of the mission there will be a problème at the end of the next mission flown : the result of the firstmission will not be the good one it will be the last launched result and not the one played and accepted... sorry it's a bug ... The solution is to generate a nextmission just after the firstmission end and upload it on the server then delete the firstmission to be sure it will not be launched next time you open the server ! Of course if you play the nextmission just after the firstmission there will not have problems anymore. I hope i'm clear enough ...sorry for my bad english
  19. Yes and I can certify that : yesterday I played in solo mod a Crisis in PG Gazelle mission in VR : it was nearly unplayable with very low FPS ... Then I played the same mission on my dedicated server and it worked like a charm (except for the Iranian Mig-29 that tracked me in the mountains and shot me with a R-60 ) !
  20. Well I'm not sure to understand your problem ! What do you mean with "Server is dedicated so it should have all modules in it " ? When you use DCS dedicated server you need to chose an MP option when you generate a mission : The two MP choices are T (where you begin to chose your target) or N (where you begin to chose your plane) If you play without any human wingman on a dedicated server you need to chose 1 flight only in the options then only one plane. DCE will give you AI wingmen So when you launch the mission you should only be able to see your chosen plane in the list. If you play alone and you prepare many flights of different planes to generate the mission the problem will be that all playable planes will not fly in the mission if no human select them...

  22. Playing myself nearly exclusively in solo I discovered recently that to play with more FPS in heavy loaded DCE missions in VR I could use the DCS World Open-Beta server. I use an old and low specs Laptop to launch this server (yes Fiber was installed few weeks ago ) and play solely in MP mod. It runs really smoother and there are no big differencies. Of course MP can be used to play the same campaign with different planes too !

For the experts (and only them ^^), you can make an old campaign compatible if and only if - the old campaign is based on a version of scriptsMod 20.43.00 (possibly 20.38.00 but...) - re-save the base_mission.miz file with the DCS mission editor - have a ScriptsMod.NG folder (provided for example with the first test campaign "Hornet over Caucasus-CVN") - change the path.bat line this way: set "versionPackageICM=NG"
