  1. It should work the only drawback is that you must change channel manually to ear CGI or wingman…
  2. Available in ED user files
  3. Experimental DCE Campaigns : Cyprus Incident Hind and Gazelle released and waiting ED validation ! Check First post for links or ED user files when available : This version is different from previous campaigns: it is an attempt to be able to simulate the movement of combat units on the ground while maintaining "static" type targets of DCS to avoid overloading missions. It relies on scripts and templates. Unfortunately, it is very likely that this trial will not be transformed because this system was deemed far too heavy for the campaign creator to manage and in my opinion it will remain unique. Unlike the old campaigns everything is scripted and even if the player remains free to do what he wants on the ground, the evolution of the troops on the ground will be done over the missions except of course in case of decisive actions of the player on these. The campaign is designed to be very easy at first for Hind or Gazelle pilots but could quickly become significantly more difficult later on… Solo or MP play is only possible with helicopters in the Hind and Gazelle versions at the start of the campaign. Mirage 2000C pilots will be available later in the campaign…
  4. Yes it can be reassuring to know that I’m not alone to be butchered by AI in DCS [emoji57]

  6. Follow this link to find more about Scratchpad :
  7. I use scratchpad it’s really easy to use and there’s an option in DCE (on by default) which writes in scratchpad the brief when generating a new mission ( but it only works when DCS in closed )
  8. Do you know how to use Ovgme ? if not you can try to edit this file with notepad++ ( free) adding — in front of the two lines described in the pdf. Be careful you must do it after each update ;)
  9. All is on the title I'm not able to make AI fire a GROM missile by AI Mig-21. They were used without any problem by them few updates before but now I tryed many methods in Mission editor without any success If someone is able to make a simple mission with AI Mig-21 firing GROM on whatever targets I'm really interested !
  10. Since DCS version 2.7 I have noticed that night vision goggles on particularly dark nights (without or with very little moon) were ineffective to fly in in the middle of the terrain. My main question is not to know if it's realistic or not (even if that interests me anyway: hum but rather to know how we can know in advance the degree of brightness of a DCS mission ? Indeed during night missions it is no longer possible for me to attempt low altitude infiltrations in the relief when the night is very dark and I have not found a way to know this in advance in the briefing. Of course I am not talking about missions that I would have edited myself since in this case the last tool made available by ED gives some information on the moon at a given date and time (and even that does not give a value of clarity) but rather missions created by other people or better by automated generators like DCE for example: hum: Ideally, the goal will be to have a clarity value or an equivalent allowing the definition of NVG use thresholds according to the type of missions. It would then be possible to generate only compatible missions or to change the weaponry to adapt to night visibility conditions. Besides, if these conditions are realistic, is there this type of information in a real brief for night missions? low altitude
  11. Here is the text to modify in Conf file : -- limit the number of F-14s (in the same Flight as the player) on the CVN to avoid taxiing collisions limiteNbF14CVN = 3 -- advice 3 max is a good value
  12. I didn’t test with Hornet yet …
  13. It seems that since last updates with dedicated server play (´d’ option) there’s a bug with 4 Tomcats on the sixpack : when player moves, 3 and 4 collide near catapult 3 and 4 : Tomcat 4 disappears and Tomcat 3 at best takes off and lands or ejects after take off. The best solution when you play a Tomcat campaign on dedicated server (d option) is to reduce the Tomcat max number to 3 in the conf file options !
  14. Link added in the first post for F-16C Afghan bear trap campaign thanks to Bonfor !
  15. Eagle_01 is ok with that : no problem He is working on WW2 campaigns now...
  16. I will try to contact Eagle_01
  17. How did you get those coordinates ?
  18. Well I expected this map for a long time because there are a lot of possible historical and hypothetic campaigns possible. But there are few problems to make campaigns on this map for me : This area of the world is a highly militarized one and it will need a lot of ground units and expecially SAMS to simulate this fact... I'm not sure that our computers will be able to handle this with the actual DCE system ... Historical campaigns will need ground movements too even if few campaigns can be attrition wars that DCE can simulate quite well but with high density defenses and targets like I said before ... We are working on possible systems to simulate frontline and units moves without killing FPS but our first solution is not possible with big scale war. I will soon propose a small scale Cyprus campaign with few units moves and a kind of moving frontline but it seems to be really too difficult to handle as a campaign creator : too much scripts to activate templates with too much conditions. We think it's not the solution and are exploring other possibilities ... I hope someone else will soon propose some campaigns on this beautiful map
  19. A dedicated server, even in SP, could be a solution for VR. An older PC is good enough or even on the same PC it's better than nothing ... my two cents
  20. AV-8 BNA Harrier LHA TARAWA taking off bug corrected ! It can take off with full load now
  21. Well the main problem is to know if DCE will still be playable to medium config players and how Mbot's SEAD script will handle it ? Mbot's script is made to avoid first day SAM destruction with one shot/one kill Harm weapon ! SEAD missions per definition are made to supress SAMs while striking a near target... To destroy them you need to do a DEAD mission and DCE generates such missions logically in first days of the campaign. Is Skynet able to avoid easy destruction like Mbot Script ?
  22. Well I’m working on a small campagne on Cyprus ! I will use for the first time our template system to move static units … It will be for Hind Gazelle Huey, Falcon M-2000C and may be Hercules from Anubis …
  23. DCE Seems to work well but we have a problem with DCS AV-8 Harrier IAs which try to make vertical take off on LHA Tarawa They are too heavy for that ! Waiting for an ED update soon I hope !
  24. Hum... what is still working ?
  25. Well this is really an old tutorial : https://www.dropbox.com/s/masv61iexlfirp7/Guide DCE-v1.pdf?dl=0 Many things changed but maybe looking a new campaign you should be able to find useful things in this tutorial ... I will have to update it one day
