War over Tchad 1987 campaign update with new Mirage F-1EE : Changes in V4.9 - New Mirage F-1EE replacing Mirage F-1CE - C-135FR added to support CAP - Old F-1CE still available if you make one manual change with Notepad ++ : * In DCE_Manager left click on the main campaign title : War over Tchad 1987-Blue (with the green cross to the left) * This will open the main campaign folder : select the Init folder then open the oob_air_init.lua with Notepad ++ * Just under the first squadron : name = "2-12 Cornouaille", on the line : inactive = true, change true to false then save and quit * Clone the campaign (green cross) selecting the Mirage F-1CE squadron * The Mirage F-1EE and the Tanker squadron should be inactive for this cloned campaign * If you want to use again Mirage F-1EE just put back "true". https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/fr/files/3327817/

Well AI can be really difficult to understand…Did you follow the waypoints ? It’s better to ask AI to engage mission and rejoin just after reaching IP Nav point …

I made some tests and I can confirm that in MP game only one target picture can be seen in briefing which is a DCE bug It seems thjat all the different briefings are visible but only the main aircraft campaign picture is displayed ... we will have to take a look at this (hum... Miguel21 mainly ). I'm not sure blue and red brieifing are working very well because we never played PvP with DCE so we will have to test it ... or YOU can tell us if it works as it should ?

New campaign released ! This campaign is purposely scaled down to allow more fluidity in the game and leave in place "live" units that can defend and move. The campaign succinctly retraces the fighting between France and Libya in Chad around 1987. The distances on the map are not realistic but it allows you to keep missions sufficiently animated by avoiding long navigations... https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/fr/files/3327817/ This campaign uses Dimitriov's excellent FrenchPack (Currently V4.9.1 available here: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/257437-frenchpack-v491-update-on-27042022/ ) Don't forget to copy paste the corrected "Frenchpack_ERC90.lua" file that I provide in the main Frenchpack folder after its installation because there is a small bug line 161... The pilotable devices are for the moment the Gazelle and the Mirage F-1 on the French side. The campaign provided uses the new concept of a "clonable" campaign allowing to choose with which device to do the campaign with the interface of DCE_Manager (see the installation PDF)

I made this because I lost too many AI wingmen for fuel problems so I decided to give more fuels to them. Often I take only 1 fuel tank myself… you can try to remove the comments for short range loadouts but I’m not sure they still respect all the technical requirements… try it, I will try to look at it soon

Thanks for the debug We are working on new versions of the campaign with a new concept of campaign cloning : I will release only one Campaign for each side and it will be possible to launch different campaigns choosing which squadron (plane) you will fly ! It will permit to start as many campaigns as you want without deleting the old ones I will try to debug all main campaigns for this release

I recently discovered the sharpening option whether with Oculus Debug Tool or Oculus Tray Tool or even more recently the VRPerfkit... with my Quest 2 and my config: - Motherboard: MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI - Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X (3.6 GHz) - Power supply: Corsair RM850, 850W - RAM: 64 GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX, Black, 32 GB (4 x 16 GB), 3200 MHz, CAS 16 - Samsung Series 970 EVO Plus, 500 GB, M.2 - Samsung 980 MZ-V8V1T0BW | Internal SSD NVMe M.2, PCIe 3.0, 1 TB - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card It looked pretty good visually and in terms of performance, but unfortunately as soon as I activate it, my missions invariably end with a DCS crash: freeze and obligation to leave the game. Does anyone have this problem with a config similar to mine?

Sorry but our actual work is focusing on MP with DCE. Using a modified Over Caucasus campaign confirmed that live ground units are very bad for FPS and can even overload servers ... it was not a real surprise but we needed to confirm it. The bad news is that it will be difficult to make a syrian campaign without realistic SAM et ground units ! I'm afraid it will be nearly unplayable My next small campaign which is nearly ready will take place in Tchad (well a place in persian gulf I designed to be like Tchad ) in 1987 with Mirage F-1CE and Gazelle for France against Khadafy libyan forces during "Opération Manta" ! This small campaign runs really well even with "live" ground units A good way to practise the new Mirage F-1CE

Hello, the lack of SP campaign in DCS motivated Mbot to make DCE. It's campaigns were really easy to use and a revolution for me in DCS. There were few modificiations to do (only Missionscript to modify after each DCS upgrade). We wanted with Miguel21 to be able to use more planes and maps and may be more options using Mbot DCE. DCE_Manager should help to install and use DCE campaigns easily but of course it's not perfect yet. Missionscript modification is still to be done after each update (OvGME program helps) and old campaigns can be bugged sometimes. We (Miguel21 mainly ) are working on making campaigns easier to use but it takes time Sorry that sometimes it seems so complicated ... maybe can you look at Liberation campaigns ? It's a little different concept but it's easier to use I think ...

Try with this file : UTIL_db_loadouts.lua Put it in the P:\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\tech\DCE\ScriptsMod.NG folder (make a copy of the old one) With this file all Mi-24P in escort mission will have two possible loadouts for escort mission on Cyprus campaign If you want exclusively the R60 loadout use Notepad++ (free) to remove "cyprus", tag in : ["Escort 2xB8V20+4xATGM_AT9-Heat+4xATGM_AT9-AA"] = { attributes = {}, code_loadout = {"Cyprus", "HWITC", "Crisis"}, Tell me if it's good for you We are working (mainly Miguel ) on new features for DCE ... Reworked and new campaigns should come soon

Which order do you use ? It happened to me too and I was never sure what permit them to attack ... sometimes I used the Air defense attack or just ground targets ... Usual Engage Mission and rejoin or RTB is a possibility too but it's often dangerous for wingmen ... Did you try all those options ?

Hello I have a strange bug and I wanted to know if anybody else has the same : Pointctrl in working perfectly for me in solo play but as soon as I join a MP server my FCU cursors are really instable, I can see a second cursor on the screen and all my cockpit buttons are moving CCW when I put my FCU cursor on them. I'm not able to move those buttons CW. Destroying any target in the list of targets in the briefing is possible and will count in the loss track to make progress in the goal of losses to reach to win the campaign... There can be some problems however : The use of Prunescript (to avoid too heavy missions) may remove some targets from the mission if too far away from primary targets so it will be impossible to find and destroy them. If targets are native map objects, Prunescript could remove defenses so it will not be a really fair mission It seems that since some ED updates that some native map buidlings are really difficult to destroy ! To be registrered detroyed by DCE it needs to be in ruins. Burning is not sufficient because after burning buildings are often not destroyed on the mission map. So it needs often really big bombs to be sure to destroy them ...
