Does the anti-collision light stay on at night for cat shots? We turn either turn off our anti-collision light or will turn off the lower anti-collision light when operating on the trees to avoid the inconsistent shadows thrown by the lights causing an issue with pilots.

Really looking forward to Jester changing waypoints in Zone 5. Will Jester handle the TACAN too? Can I over ride Jester's navigation and set the waypoint/TACAN manually?

As the title says did anyone else watch the Smithsonian Channel's F-14 Episode of Air Warriors? I thought the first 30 minutes or so was pretty good, but was unimpressed with the second half of the episode. The use of Jessica Biel's Ejection from Stealth was particularly bad. I also didn't like how the episode kept talking about the great engines in the D without even acknowledging the A+/B even existed. Anyone else annoyed?

And the Stennis if you have the SC module.

Three different timeline variants of OH-58 from 1984 to 2017

That is correct the MMS was removed for the contact and manual throttle phases of flight training. The skin with the orange doors and large white letters and numbers on the side are indicative of a Rucker paint scheme. -
Are you ready to not be condescending? I asked a question, I didn't ask for a lecture.

Thank you -
Tell me more about this time before miles? Was it magical? Did you have to hand crank your PC to start it? You aren't the only one that has been around a while. Miles could be applied without it costing RAZBAM a thing, the miles could be something on ED's side that is used to encourage further purchases from the fan base, especially on older, less popular modules. I simply wasn't sure exactly how the miles program worked on the ED side. I know how it works on mine.

Thanks, let me clarify, do I need to delete simshaker for aviators before updating simshaker for aviators? -
Hovering gets you killed. By flying towards the target you continue to maintain some movement to make targeting you harder and you maintain airspeed to provide for your own maneuverability to escape after you have made your attack. If someone else is providing your laser you may be able to use terrain to your advantage to hide, but if you are self designating you have to expose yourself to enemy fire to target and maintain your laser.

Ok, I wasn't sure who took the loss on the module, for some reason I assumed ED. I should have known better.

What does RAXBAM gain by opting out of the miles program?

Polychop Simulations OH-58D Kiowa

Never tested ADAIK on a US Kiowa and for sure never used as part of a weapons load. Interestingly it looks like the Tunisians changed the tail numbers. -

If it was cold enough and at a low altitude (sea level) and you dumped enough fuel, you can do 4 Hellfires. It's feasible, but you have to have the right environment and be willing to reduce your loiter time. -

I flew an incoming module, the OH-58D and now I fly UH-60Ls. -

The laser for the MMS (or the one on the Apache or anything else designating a target for a laser guided missile/bomb) cannot be seen by the naked eye or under NVGs. You just know that you boresited the laser before take off and know where the crosshair is on your screen and your missile bomb (if in the right mode) is picking up properly coded laser energy (PCLE). I think the confusion comes from movies/ tv shows (I'm looking at you JAG) where they show the lasers. We had a laser on the .50 cal (which i personally didn't use much) and we carried an IZLID laser pointer in the cockpit too (I also saw some handheld lasers that could be put on kind of like a glove missing fingers and you could point with your index finger with an laser emitter, I didn't use them) The laser on the gun (also an IZLID) and the hand held IZLID could both be seen under NVGs, but could not be seen by the TIS in the helicopter. -

THe KW's organic weapons are for self defense. There are also defensive missions for a KW, Screening, Guarding and Covering are all defensive operations. -
The services do exchange tours in which pilots can fly with other services and the air forces of other nations. It is possible for a USMC pilot to be flying and USAF jet. Example... CPT Charles Magill

Kiowas are scouts. The KW's weapons are for self defense. In a conventional fight this is particularly important, the KW scouts ahead, and sends back target information to artillery units, fixed-wing attack aircraft or attack helicopters. This is what is meant by having others use their weapons. In a COIN environment you try to do the same, but use your own weapons more often because you are supporting ground forces in an environment that is more permissive to an aircraft. -

It is a Kiowa shooting. The .50 cal can only be used on the left pylon. There is a laser that can be boresited to the gun for use with NVGs. The button in the cockpit can be seen in this picture.
