  1. That announcement was for the Advanced campaign on STEAM. It's been available from the ED Store since end of September 2016. TTQ is still in testing.
  2. First mission is an intro mission. The briefing text says: "On board a C-130 flying into Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas Nevada..." Not sure why you started in airfield view as when I start I see this:
  3. It's easy to learn, fun to fly (no autopilot), navigation is via Tacan or Dead Reckoning so you need to know your environment and flight plan. It's great for dogfighting (BFM and ACM) as you have to manage the speed and energy closely and all the fighting is within visual range. Good assortment of weapons and is a well known Aggressor aircraft with some cool skins (included and user made). One of my favorites!
  4. Congrats! Not sure why the campaign wasn't marked as a win since you completed the last mission and passed. Final score should be 75 or 100 depending on how you did. We are in final testing of the TTQ campaign (it's playing very well but we continue to add minor tweaks to make it better).
  5. I would uninstall and reinstall the campaign module. Other users have had issues with triggers miss firing and once they did a DCS update or reinstalled the campaign everything worked as expected.
  6. The tanker spawns in the same trigger as the F-16Cs so it should be there. Are you flying with NVGs on? Usually you can see it. If you can get a response on the Radio via UHF 251 then the tanker is there but you might have to get very close to visually see it since it's a night mission.
  7. The tanker spawns later in the mission but we have noticed that recently 5X on the TACAN doesn't work but 5Y does. You won't get distance to the tanker but you will get bearing. Also there are 2 F-16Cs flying as escort so you can locate the tanker by finding these flights on your TADS. Hopefully ED will fix the tanker TACAN so 5X and the distance will work properly again.
  8. Great job on the video X-stounds as always. You are the master. :worthy:
  9. Congrats! Glad it worked ok for you. Sometimes when the triggers are not working properly an update or reinstalling the campaign module fixes it. Also updating video card drivers has helped others too.
  10. The trigger code is the same for all 3 targets so I don't know why it didn't register for you on Targets 1 or 2. Maybe try holding the release button a little longer so it registers as you overfly the target. The flight plan is to fly back to Kobuleti but due to wind ATC may direct you to a different runway. If the runway is occupied ATC may instruct you to go around or even divert. Batumi is the divert airfield. For parking we say "You can park in the first free revetment on your left." So pick the next one that is free. The parking trigger zone covers the whole airfield so it actually doesn't really matter where you park on the airfield to end the mission. Same at Batumi.
  11. This page has a good explanation of IFF modes. Our spins document indicates all aircraft will squawk MODE 3C which includes automatic altitude reporting. 1200 is used for general aviation so you could use that. Not sure what code would be used for real events. Likely classified given that much of the IFF details are classified. For the Base turn, not sure what is accurate but shows the turn directly over the Speedway.
  12. Sorry you are having trouble with this mission. We used to be able to use a bomb in zone trigger but ED removed the flares from this so we had to use a different method. On success you will hear "Well Done. Target in sight!". If you don't hear that then you missed one of the parameters. When releasing the flares drop when directly over the target, below 6000' (ensure your QFE setting is set) and press and hold the release button for a 2 second count. You should hear the pilot say "2 away". We check for the release button being pressed when in the trigger zone and at the correct altitude. If you don't hold the button long enough the game engine may not register it so the trigger fails. We saw this similar situation in the start-up routines where we recommend at least a 1 full second count. I think due to the multiple conditions in the trigger in this mission it takes the game engine a few more milliseconds to register the key press. We will retest and see if we can come up with a better method to determine a successful flare drop.
  13. Looks great! Loved that movie.
  14. Could be a bug - will retest. Thanks for reporting that. Update - We found the bug and will be submitting a fix for it soon. You can manually set your campaign level following the instructions in this post.
  15. Yes based on user feedback we removed the practice missions from the campaign structure. They are still provided with the campaign and you can play them through the Missions Menu. They are located here: <your drive letter>:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\campaigns\A-10C AAT For AFT01 and 02 they are Air to Air Refueling missions so you need to complete a few refueling to pass those missions. For AFT03 try jinking more and watch for the tracers. When they fire you can usually dodge them (unless something changed in the latest patches - we will retest).
  16. Sorry if the message wasn't clear but you do have to kill all the targets. The message regarding the tanks was meant to imply using the AGMs on the tanks only as they are tough to kill with the Gun and you will use up all the ammo and likely not kill all the targets if you use the AGMs on soft skinned targets too. Here is the wording from the mission: "Target the tanks only with your remaining AGMs. You are permitted to finish any remaining targets using gun strafing." If the FE is indicating re-engage then there are still targets remaining.
  17. This post has hints and tips for the campaign. Please post any questions or issues for that campaign in that thread. For AFT05 - Illumination Flare Employment try and drop when right over the target as the flares tend to drop straight down and we want maximum illumination over the target area.
  18. It's in the works! We are in final campaign testing (it's taking a little longer than expected as we have made some changes I know everyone will appreciate). Plus all new professional voice overs that sound great. Hopefully we will be wrapping it up soon. Watch our blog for updates.
  19. We have added a Hints and Tips section to the first post in the Campaign DLC thread. If you are still having trouble you can email us at mapleflagmissions@gmail.com and we will do our best to help.
  20. We have added a Hints and Tips section to the first post of this thread as suggested by one of our users. Please review it if you are having trouble with any of the missions. You can also email us at mapleflagmissions@gmail.com and we will do our best to help.
  21. Don't depart the pattern altitude until you are cleared by the tower. There may be aircraft on the runway and you could be ordered to go around (ie stay in the pattern). The trigger is disabled within 5 miles which should be after tower clearance. Not sure why the shutdown procedure didn't work if you didn't get a previous terminate call. Likely one of the switches didn't register properly. Email us a mapleflagmissions@gmail.com if you continue to have issues.
  22. The Tactical Campaign will be available soon. We are in final mission testing after updating all the voice overs and adding a few additional changes. Please check our blog for updates!
  23. As per the checklist: 4. Ensure the CCTVS / DVADR Remote control panel switch is OFF. 3. Yes those items are part of the AHCP setup. We can set them as sub-items - minor documentation change. 5. Oxygen System - CHECK - The warning message below this CHECK indicates if you can inhale with the regulator switch off then it may not be safe for flight. 14. CDU alignment - You get to set the desired alignment depending on mission requirements. You have a choice of GROUND or IN-FLIGHT alignment. The default is GROUND so you don't have any specific action to take here in the sim. 10. Flight Controls - CHECK - work your flight controls to ensure they work as expected (ailerons move, etc). 11. AC Generators - CHECK - confirm the AC Generators are operating and the switches are still enabled. 12. Instrument Inverter - CHECK - confirm the Inverter switch is still enabled. 16. TRIM - CHECK - Nothing you can do in the sim but in real world you would check the operation of the pitch, roll and yaw trim functions with the crew chief. 19. Slat operation, peak performance, etc. - Nothing you can do in the sim but in real world you would check the slat operations with the crew chief. 21. CDU data - VERIFY / ENTER - Verify the CDU data and change it if it's not reading as expected. You shouldn't have to do anything in the sim. 22. CDU Align page - It should be flashing 4.0.0.8 at that point depress the NAV LSK button. IFFCC switch setting comes later in the checklist.
  24. We modeled our checklist as closely to the real world checklists that we could so some items are done differently than what ED has in their manual. We didn't want to replicate the in-game provided training and focused more on the actual qualification (testing your knowledge). Hence no breaks. Once you fail a few times you will learn very quickly and remember the items that caused you grief (I can't recall how many times we failed on the Pitot Heat test.) :( That said, we do recommend users use the Interactive Start-Up and Shutdown missions to get familiar with switch locations and the checklist we provided. You should also have completed the in-game training missions before trying for qualification. The more prepared you are the easier this is. The practice missions were provided to help prepare for the qualification missions. The campaign is setup this way but in a future update we plan to change it so only the qualification missions are in the campaign. The practice missions will remain as individual missions so you can use them as refreshers or as pre-exam type training. We can add some text to the briefing to explain the one second button press requirement. The CCTVS/DV ADR panel is the one above the seat raise/lower switch. The UHF radio setting was done as per the real world checklists we consulted but I can't explain why it's done at that point in the checklist and not with the other radio items.
  25. We did indicate "Mission Success" at the end of the mission but will add some text to indicate the user should press ESC to quit. The mission isn't very long and using the speed up functions you can get through it in a few seconds so if you restart the campaign we don't think it's that big of an issue. Unfortunately there is no way to provide a user interaction since you are not in any cockpit yet.
