The A-10C Tactical Training Qualification campaign puts you in the cockpit of an A-10C Warthog, and tests your ability to interact with JTACs, Airborne FACs, AC-130 Gunships and manage Close Air Support (CAS) assets. Based on real world qualification requirements you will fly 15 performance check rides to execute against pre-defined performance objectives. If successful you will rate a Qualified rating and proceed to the next performance objective. The campaign covers a number of key areas including FAC & JTAC Coordination, Stationary and Moving Target Tasking, Danger Close Tasking, SEAD Tasking, Deep Interdiction Tasking Day & Night, and Deep Interdiction Special Forces Coordination. In addition you will work with additional CAS assets and cover SADL Datalink Engagement, CAS Mission Management Day & Night, Battlefield Air Interdiction Mission Management Day & Night, and Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) Mission Management Day & Night culminating in a final Simulated Combat Mission using everything you have learned in the previous missions. Yes you do need to update your DCS install to the latest version to install the new campaign module. -
Other F-5 Campaign in the future?
Sabre-TLA replied to Simicro's topic in F-5E Aggressors BFM Campaign
Yes we are committed and currently working on a Red Flag campaign which will include a few air to ground missions. After that we will have to check our current roadmap and see what we can fit in. We would love to continue doing campaigns for this wonderful module/aircraft. -

Tactical Training Qualification
Sabre-TLA replied to Precog's topic in A-10C Basic Flight Training Qualification DLC
We are pleased to announce that ED have released our updated A-10C Tactical Training Qualification Campaign! We updated all the voice overs with professional recordings compared to our earlier MFM release. The professional voice overs really make a difference in our opinion. Additionally we have added 15 Single Player practice missions so you can perfect your tactics, techniques and procedures before trying the Qualification Missions. The MFM Rebate Program will continue for this campaign as well so if you had purchased it from the MFM website we will rebate your original purchase price on proof of purchase of the ED Store version. Please email us at mapleflagmissions@gmail.com or post to the forums if you have any questions or issues. Thanks. -
Computer reboots during game
Sabre-TLA replied to Cskelly's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Have you checked the Event logs? There might be a clue to what caused the reboot when you review the log entries. For performance testing start at the LOW setting and then work your way up from there until you get unstable - then stop. Try and test with a mission that is typical of what you fly. The more action in the mission (units, combat actions) the more demand on the CPU and graphics card and you will hit your limit sooner. Continue to report your findings as there are many on the forum that can help you out. -

F-5E Aggressors Basic Fighter Maneuvers DLC
Sabre-TLA replied to Sabre-TLA's topic in F-5E Aggressors BFM Campaign
Glad you are enjoying it. We are still working on the Red Flag campaign but you will really need good BFM to be successful in these missions. -
TTQ
Sabre-TLA replied to Badger1815's topic in A-10C Advanced Aircraft Training Qualification Campaign
ED has all the files but they have been busy with the Normandy release. Now that it's out hopefully this campaign will be released soon too. -
Very good. Yes it's a good idea to update drivers whenever there is a large graphics update like the last one. Sorry I should have thought of that in my reply. Glad you got it sorted.
-
Can you elaborate? What's broken for you? Here is a screenshot from the first mission showing the new lighting effects. 2nd mission seemed ok as well. Try restarting DCS before you play the missions if you are getting unexpected behaviors.

Awesome work! Well done!

Glad you found them. Please post or email if you encounter any issues.

Sorry you are having trouble accessing the Practice Missions. You can access the missions following the instructions in this post. This is for the BFT campaign but the instructions are the same for AAT and TTQ (when it's available). Please email us at mapleflagmissions@gmail.com if you have further questions or issues and we will help you out. Note that the current version of DCS World has an AI bug that is impacting the AAT missions. You can read about a workaround here.

Recent AI Changes have caused AI Collisions
Sabre-TLA replied to Sabre-TLA's topic in Problems and Bugs
Yes. Hopefully the next patch will contain the updates to fix this issue. To roll back your DCS install you can read the thread here. You can update back to the latest version again just by running the Update DCS shortcut or the game may prompt you to update again. Summary of the instructions to roll back: From a Command Prompt Window change to the bin directory in your DCS World install and run the DCS_updater.exe: <your drive letter>:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin> DCS_updater.exe update 1.5.6.3930 -
Sorry for the confusion. In the BFT campaign we had the practice missions integrated into the campaign structure. Feedback from users indicated they wanted to play the practice missions many times over before trying the qualification missions so we pulled them out for the advanced and tactical campaigns. You play them by using the Mission menu but you need to point the folder structure at the campaign folder to see them as shown in this post. Please email us at mapleflagmissions@gmail.com if you have any questions or other issues. We recommend the BFT Campaign first but if you are not sure about it BeachAV8R has done an excellent walk thru of the campaign. You can read about it in this thread. Also Recon Stewart has of a previous version of the campaigns.

A-10C Pilot Qualification Course Missing Phases on Steam?
Sabre-TLA replied to Horns's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
The files in the user files section are for those who purchased from our website previously but have not yet upgraded to the ED Store versions. The Tactical Qualification Campaign (Phase 4) is completed and into ED for testing and release. We don't have an ETA but we hope it will be soon. -
A-10C Pilot Qualification Course Missing Phases on Steam?
Sabre-TLA replied to Horns's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
You have it right - these missions test your knowledge as per Air Force specs. We have included single player practice missions which have extra dialogue to help you get prepared for the qualification missions. The interactive start-up and shutdown missions will help you learn the switches and those procedures as well. However there is no substitute for reading the manual before taking the tests (just like in real life). -
Perform Take-Off and EFATO
Sabre-TLA replied to CrackerJack's topic in A-10C Basic Flight Training Qualification DLC
In the practice mission we recommend increasing the pitch to 10 degrees for takeoff. The mission trigger is set to consider a good pitch as being between 10 and 20 degrees based on the HUD setting. Not sure why the stat-bar would be different than the HUD. If you stay within the 10-20 degree range on the HUD that should trigger the "pitch good" message. -
Great initiative Neck! Glad to see you sharing your knowledge. Everyone, Neck is the best and the whole 132nd squad is a great group to work with. If you can attend you won't regret the time spent.:thumbup:

Hiko is a town that is used as a reference for the FAM flight. It doesn't have a specific NAV reference but it is due east of Belted Peak. You can reach it by pilotage and dead reckoning. In the FAM flight when you reach Belted Peak the wingman will give you a course heading that will get you close. Alternatively you could steer toward Student Gap as it's on the same flight path.
-
After passing the Basic Flight Training we figured the pilot knows how to shut down appropriately so we removed some of the more obvious dialogue and also the shut down time limit. Once the Battery Power is shut off that should fire the remaining triggers.
-
Yes that's correct. The most recent updates have changed the AI logic causing collisions with other AI units. We have reported it in the bugs section for the campaign here. A fix has been created (increasing the AI start time to avoid the collisions) and has been submitted to ED for release. Hopefully it will be released in the next patch. The practice missions appear ok but please report any issue and we will correct them. To play the campaign you can downgrade your install with instructions here.
