The mod doesn't launch in the first person view as a player. Only 3rd person view is possible.

No, I don't use any mods now. I've already checked Steam files and even completely reinstalled the game. Updated drivers for video card. Didn't help. DCS run fine before, now ot of the sudden it became a disaster.

After recent patch the game became unplayable for me. Before that I had no problems and run DCS on highest settings. Now it often crashes when loading mission and freezes my laptop to blue screen of death (I have to restart it manually). It seems like software problem, because as I said, I had no problems with DCS before. Maybe there is a clue in my log files? dcs.log-20250317-191403.zip

I'll try that, thank you.

I did some more testing and it seems like any additional apps running during DCS can crash it. Looks like after recent patch the game became much more demanding in terms of PC resources. Why? Everything was good for me on 4070 laptop at extreme level of settings. Now it runs OK only on medium. I can't send logs because my PC collapses completely and I have to restart it manually every time after DCS freezes.

When I start OpenTrack after the mission is loaded the game runs fine. But if I load mission with OpenTrack already running the game crashes during "World Preload 1\60".

The latest one 24.1.1

You mean DCS folder in Saved games in C:Users folder? It didn't help.

After recent patch the game crashes on loading mission, usually on "loading world 1\60". I did some testing and realized that it crashes when my AI track and Open track are working. Sometimes it shows "TrackIR error". Unfortuanely, I dodn't find ways to lauch the game with head tracking software. Before the patch everything worked OK.

Mod launches in 3rd person view only, despite I choose "Player" (yellow colour) in the editor. What could be wrong? EDIT:

solved DCS doesn't see Opentrack and AITrack
solus replied to solus's topic in Controller & Assignment Bugs - General
I found the solution: Installed the latest 2024.1 version of Opentrack 64 bit (I had stable 2023 version before). It turned tracking on in DCS. -

No, it doesn't help. Thank you. -
I donwloaded OpenTrack and AI track. They work fine, I see my head moving and software shows that it is tracking me and responding. But in DCS there is no sign of OpenTrack. "TrackIR" tab in game options doesn't show up. It seems DCS doesn't see my OpenTrack working in the background. Any solutions?

Got it. Seems like they implemented it not so long ago, the animation was differnet before.

After launching "Vikhr" missiles from ka-50 the launch containers remain intact. Looks like I have infinite ammo (I cheked the box in the options, I didn't turn it on).

Where can I find it? -

solus replied to solus's topic in DCS: AH-64D
Yup. That's more of a problem of simulation. They need to simultae LMC in a way it could be effective without extra measures, like xbox controller. Nice video and explanation. Also thank you everybody who pointed out that it should be LMC alone. -

Yes, I'm using hat on my joystick (VKB Gladiator). It really doesn't make it. Keyboard doesn't as well. Oh... -

Really? It only rotates the camera in the certain direction based on the power of input you made. Putting my own abilities to utilize it aside, I doubt that US army would use such relatively complicated solution for such a vital task. They would use a straightforward one - proper stabiliztion by pressing the right button. -

To make long story short I find it extremly inconvenient. Efforts needed to make it properly follow the target are not worth of result. Anyway, even if it worked fine for me, it would be only a poor man's "stabilization". I'm sure that such helo as Apache with all its gyroscopes, lasers and other fancy stuff must have proper stabilization on the fly. What it gunner\co-pilot wants to inspect some area on the move? It's quite a natural wish.
