  1. That does not answer the question why is there a delay? What are the factors which need to be adjusted for each AC to allow for integration with SC? If something breaks in the future can it happen that you will not be able to land an aircraft because the integration breaks? Can a future AC update break the integration? So if they can reveal more on this I would like to know.
  2. Can you elaborate on why is integration with a module a problem and requires extra work? How will you ensure that future carrier AC will be compatible if the Tomcat is now a problem to integrate?
  3. As much as I enjoyed the news about an airshow and guns, it was very sparse on the product that is supposed to release in a few weeks. Ok then, when I submit a bug I will describe how nice LEDs in PC are and tell your support that there is no lack of communication, just it's not the message they are waiting for, but they can't complain
  4. It's early access, it will be months (at lest) until the module is complete after the EA release. They are not finalizing last details on a polished 1.0 release.
  5. Lever works but you need to click below or above it, depending on its position. When the lever is down, click above it and it will return to the forward position.
  6. They could start introducing it though …
  7. We don't know the release date as nothing has been confirmed yet and as you say, delay would not be a surprise. Not to mention the lack of information. So we definitely don't know ;)
  8. Even with this setting enabled it still may happen, at least that is my experience. So just a fair warning. No need to panic, if your throttle does not move the first time, move it back to off position and to idle again. Game will pick it up and you proceed as normal. Of course if it happens for one throttle, it will be the same for the other. When it happens to me, I automatically cycle the other throttle to idle and back to off so that it's ready to move when actually needed.
  9. Interesting. Would be nice if this came as either built in functionality (ideal scenario) or be available to customize via additional coding. So the mission makers would set the launch and recovery schedule and the carrier would alter deck accordingly.
  10. Yep, since I did the upgrade I'm using it for thrusters as well. Also FSS movement and so on, it's simply a controller thumbstick which is always handy. The original quasi mouse was never good in any application, to begin with. It's a bit strange that Thrustmaster never decided to replace it.
  11. As for the inverted axis, I commonly find it to be the case of brakes on some aircraft and I have to manually invert them in the settings. Recently I noticed it's still a thing as I was re-mapping some controls. I really don't know what determines it, or why is this even happening but it does so … shrug. You set it once and don't touch for a while usually.
  12. This is more an issue with the HW itself, I wholeheartedly recommend slew upgrade.
  13. Let me quote from the current description; I don't think that modelling is the issue here. Especially since they want to model briefing room, which opens the possibility to expand it and allow walk from there to the plane. Realistically of course, this is a nice to have feature that can come much later after the release.
  14. So yeah, it was the reset. Once I reset the refueling system after disconnect., no issues reconnecting and I have to say it is much easier to reconnect thanks to the AI boom. Topped the tank in a few tries.
  15. Yoda is of course correct, but in the context of the discussion, you do not have to apply rudder trim on takeoff, like you do in say the Mustang. If the aircraft is turning substantially to one side, there is another issue at play. Rudders even kick in only above 70 knots.
  16. Yeah it will be the reset which I omitted. Thanks to both of you. This stuff is hard, but substantially easier in VR :)
  17. Oh crap, ok. Should have re-read the flight manual, got used to refueling in the Hornet where this is not required. Thanks, I'll try again.
  18. You need to work the rudder pedals to correct, practically every plane has pull to one or the other side (usually it is to the left) on both takeoff and landing until certain speed. There is no rudder trim on the A-10. Your case actually may be the case of having unequal thrust. What throttle(s) are you using, have you checked its calibration to ensure that both throttles move the same distance?
  19. I guess I'll do a bit of grave digging here, finally after years of flying the Warthog I got into AAR last night. What are the tips and tricks for connecting to the boom? And I mean really JUST for the connection. From what I gathered the boom operator is simulated, so in theory I just need to fly my plane and the boom connects "on its own". That happened only once. Then I got disconnected and could not reconnect. I even cancelled AAR and requested it again, still nothing. The boom was moving but did not connect. Sooo, is it just my flying or is the boom operator AI somehow … unreliable?
  20. I just adjust the seat height, no need to move the head and snap the view. View is where it should be when you hit re-center, it's just the height.
  21. What does walking have to do with RPG? IRL you walk to your plane and you do a pre-flight walkaround. Having all aspects of flight in the sim is the very definition of simulation. You also don't skip taxi just because it's not flying.
  22. Yes, so let's not do that. Just because it is physically doable that still does not mean that it is possible to do it and actually properly learn something. Point is also to learn the stuff correctly and not based on some assumptions or quick/easy guide and so on. Tutorials are one of the strengths of DCS and it should remain so.
  23. Landing and takeoff training missions are in game already. Obviously what needs to be added is the new stuff. Correct procedure since now we will have deck crew, as well as reworked ATC. Having this as in-game training missions is standard. Alt tabbing to YouTube while you're flying, is disruptive and downright impossible in VR.
  24. Please include them at launch of SC, delay the launch a few weeks if you must. Looking up stuff online, while you're trying to fly the aircraft isn't practical.
  25. Why should HB need to do anything? Tomcat can land on current carrier and SC is no different. Deck crew does not care what ac type it launches, pattern is also the same. If someone need to actually change something, ED should add pilot salute on launch same as Tomcat has.
