There is a twofold problem with the communication in the MiG-15bis. At least, that is how I see it. 1. If you have a SP mission with multiple planes the communication frequency from player to flight differs from that from planes to ATC. Default the frequency in the mission editor for the flight is 3.750 MHz = 150 wave number. If you place the mission on for example Batumi the ATC frequency is 4.25 MHz - 170 wave number. So, to communicate with your flight the RSI-6K HF RADIO has to be tuned to 150 and for communication with the tower to 170. This is the same later on in the flight, you tune the radio to the correct wave number for the destination airport but the wave number to communicate with your flight stays 150. Not only is this not practical, it also raises the question how the planes in your flight communicate with ATC and at the same listen to your calls. 2. There is no procedure available, at least I cannot find it in DCS, that explains how the player has to constantly tune the radio to different wave numbers. Imagine a busy flight, in difficult weather conditions. The player wants to direct the flight to different formations or other actions. How much of your time are you looking down to set the radio to the correct wave number? And what to do in case the flight has to be diverted for emergency reasons? After all, this is a sim where we want to be as 'real' as possible. The solution. 1. In the mission editor you can set the frequency for the flight to that of the airbase. That way every plane listens to the same frequency. In case of a cold start the player still has to set his radio to the correct frequency. 2. There should be 1 more action for the player to call to the flight in the F10 menu. - "Flight, radio check". This should be the signal for the AI (read the software) to set the frequency for the flight to that of the player. And then flight responds with a confirmation. I know that ED has said that they are working on the communication but this fix should not be difficult to implement. And it might even be a more general implementation, not just for the MiG.

Sorry if this is surplus but I could not find an overview of the preset (Caucasus) ARC stations for the kneeboard. So I made this quick (& dirty) kneeboard page. Any ideas for improvement?

Ok, thank you for the explanation. Obviously I did not understand the manual good enough. If I read your last sentence I have good hopes that it will be easier in version 2.... (time, time, time ) -
MiG-15bis : Unable to Open Close Canopy, Jettison Canopy or Eject.

May we ask if the fix for this bug could be added to the next release update? Thanks. -

Thank you for the update. Unfortunately I'm not that familiar with rebuilding so sorry that I cannot help you there. If you get to it and are ready to release the new version you maybe also could have a look into this? In the KB_Quild screen I don't see any of the kneeboards I have in my directory. If I've read the manual correctly it should allow the import of existing .png files but the screen doesn't show anything. null -

Hi, Could you please have a look at the dotnet specific version? The application requires the not-supported anymore version 5. Tried with dotnet version 6 or 7 but the application won't start. I only ask because version 5 of DotNet will not receive future security updates from MS. Thanks. -
Have you tried a repair with DCS Update Utility from Skate Zilla?

Please check your options in file <your disk>:\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Options.lua. In there you have a section called 'VR' where you can check the options. Also check that the file (and directories to it) or not write-protected.

Have you tried running DCS as administrator? (properties - compatibility - run as admin). Sometimes it can be as simple as access rights to folder and/or files.

Thank you for the reply. Can't say that I'm too happy but it is what it is...

Some time ago I tried the advice to run a local server because that would give some performance increase. It didn't for me. So, now I havenull this button on the missions screen that I cannot get rid off. Any suggestions / ideas? Thanks.

#1 would be my choice, #2 would be too much for me to handle in VR. I program commands that are most common for most planes, for example: centre view, pause, F1/F2/F3 view, kneeboard, eject, fps counter, icons. And I never had any problems with other peripherals. Only had to update to latest Logitech gaming software (version LGS_9.04.49_x64_Logitech) because of Windows 11. Because I can use multiple profiles (different sims) it also works great for specific planes like MiG21 as they programmed different keys for kneeboard.

Have you searched VKB vs ...... in browser because I can see multiple options. -
These are two bugs(?). 1. In the upper part of the cockpit there is mismatch with the front and top of the cockpit. See attached picture. 2. I a mission I use for practicing and check visual settings there is this truck that drives into the water when the group is fired at. I've attached the mission. Controls work fine in training but no other scenario?
hsth replied to NoPinky's topic in Controller & Assignment Bugs
Don't know if you have checked it but did you do a "save profile" after changing a mapping and then opened the saved profile file in your Saved Games folder to see if it changed. Best editor to use is Notepad++ to look into these files without corrupting them. -
Did you clean system for GPU driver with DDU? If not, I'd suggest trying that before installing latest GPU driver. Also check that Win 10 is also updated to latest version. And check motherboard for latest bios if that is applicable for your system. Some manufacturers have updated version for Win 10.

I found this in imgui.ini: [Window][###FPS] Pos=0,10 Size=224,260 Collapsed=0 imgui.ini is in saved games\config I would use notepad++ to make changes.

Controls work fine in training but no other scenario?
hsth replied to NoPinky's topic in Controller & Assignment Bugs
Does it happen with every module? What you could try: - detach all controllers except keyboard & mouse) - select the controls for a specific module (where you do not have much specific settings) - clear all (select the module in the list) - set keyboard & mouse back to default (check both non-axis and axis screens) - try module with just keyboard - if that works, start connecting controllers one by one. -
As stated before, I had this module already installed in beta version. And I checked both, beta & stable, for updates. They both were. The only reason I could think of is that this terrain module does not come from ED but from Razbam.

@Rudel_chw, I had this problem with the analyser.exe. It would run in W10 but not anymore in W11. For me it is the best program to check that the stick is centered very precise. Turns out, after uninstalling Foxy completely I installed these drivers 2007_hco_vista_64_rc1.exe from https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/product/hotascougar-en/ and now the program works again with Foxyv4. Maybe give it a try?

Maybe not just for F-15 lovers but for the wider community, a book about the 493rd Fighter Squadron. https://www.missionready-thebook.com/ The journalist had 6 years access to the squadron.
