Serial numbers management for multiplayer (NOT StarForce!)
macedk replied to Tez's topic in Forum and Site Issues
Here is how i fixed it :) Account1: had a-10c bound Account2: had bs2ug, p-51d, ca, bound Went into account1 and unbound the a-10c serial Fired up dcs world mp and got the activate screen for a-10c. Serial was confirmed as the right one and clicked yes to all (even though it said re-activate). Got prompted with the usual login screen for MP and used account1. Vola logged in and all was good :) Notes: Did try some of the earlier fixes like poking into the windows registry with no luck. Unistalled all dcs world and posted a ticket. Then i saw this thread and installed again. I'm lucky enough to have an ssd so time wise it was a half hour job. And of course closed the ticket :) -

That issue is a hardware issue and should been posted on the hardware site. The option is there in the software but I would say that the producer of the software can not have support on what people choose to do on the hardware side. All I would have said in that case was "yes u can do that with our software but we don't have any support". "For help u need to find help at a editing of program files site". Its like when u buy a smart-phone and call Samsung, they would put u in contact with Google , as Google has support for android system. Or the guy in shop phone shop, he has no support for the software only hardware. Should they have support..sure but then the pricetag would be different.

I wouldn't rule out driver issues. But is it the main factor..no. Problem is that its a needle in a haystack. Real test would imo be a complete new system on hardware and software, but nobody has such a system as a backup or the money for such a setup. So we can talk all day and never really find the exact reason why it is x or y. Frustrating ..yep and I think that all in the industry is or should be working against this kind of factor. You can be sure that nobody wants to be at fault of any problems regarding people's hard/software. Solution: Keep grinding and produce as much evidence as possible. This will give the helping part a reason and a base for a solution. Ex: everybody is posting fault at the forum and nobody has made a support ticket. It will not be addressed, cause the support guy or team is not brain-wired into a forum. They have a system for that (support ticket in this case) Use it :)

What i mean is that (worst case) is all was open and no ED control then somebody makes a uberplane with 1000 missile and shield ... Well that would be no fun and i bet you that ED would get the fallout for allowing this to happen. What i mean with ED control is that they should have final say on yay or nay. Otherwise they loose their product and we already see that games including this one(sim sorry) gets bad press due to peoples sys. config's etc. That is another problem IMO people jump the gun and many times it's not the ED software's problem but sys. setup or internet connection. We don't see people coming back saying"oh by the way I just learned my ISP was doing maintenance on my line last night", sorry for blaming the faults on your software" I did some posts back in the day on team-speak ...posted what worked and how I had done it. Stopped cause 90% of posts was on what was wrong and nobody actually read the positive and thought "that might solve my problem as well" Trouble shooting on a pc today is mega complicated and with some stuff you get the run around "it's not me it's the other guy". EX: virus: Reinstall instead of 20 days of posting and reading all sorts of fixes....I bet you 95% of them is short term and you will need a programmer degree to clean you system. So 20 days vs 6 hours ...though...yep and it really #¤¤# but that's life on the pc. Have full respect on the guy saying enough and moving away. Well allot of off topic sorry.

Make it right...I'll wait :) Enough of this when...I have stated the obvious so many times fellow aviators...just like your real planes ...i don't fly no half done jetliner ...have too much living to do ;) So far in my book ED is solid and I'm not easily impressed :) Do i pook and pry for info...sure...have to BUT also know when and why i don't get the info I want...also if I were to know some stuff and were told not to tell ...wouldn't that be even worse hehe Little me with a big secret ...so all in all..make it good and tell me then. Followed a story about a guy that were going to go for a trans atlantic flight in a F-16 and we (the forum readers ) were along for all that he came across. He had the helmet fitted and a long story short. Flight was cancelled a week before he were to go. With that in mind I want facts not hear say or promises ;) We will have our heads full when things come out and if i see one member not ready for flight/control after he's posted "when??" He'll be in for a earful ;) Careful what you wish for...U might get it ;)

If you want to add to an Ed product then Ed has total control. Otherwise it would be open for all things bad. IMO

Can't make it this year.
