  1. @Tyger Forcing scenes ? Me don't understand ;) Nice work btw. :)
  2. Also guys, have a larger margin from the tested speed like 20% off or so. Reason being that there is no way i can get max bandwidth to Usa from Europe. The 20% should cover that but might need more tweaking if you want to make absolutely sure. Many speed tests won't represent anything reliable towards your friend far away. Also bare in mind that many isp's don't adjust very well for peak use on their connections. So if you are gaming in prime time you might see a drop in performance. My experience was that when on a mega fast line, there was a difference in loading time and overall MP feel. The line was a 50/50 Mbit (meaning around 5Megabytes each way.) But anyway we have all seen the odd lag in various mp games and if the games allows for it, then there was one or more with a ping time of 1000+ plus killing the game. The classic is the guys on wifi or doing torrents. As soon as they go hardline or no torrents things improve.
  3. cliackable pit and i'm there :)
  4. Cool tyger ...as always :)
  5. Isn't the real question why DCS dosen't use as much ram as it can? , no matter what amount ?. I mean if DCS uses 80% of what available, then that would be good for the higher amount of ram you got. If I had 16gb of ram and only used 4 gb then I would be sad :)
  6. Funny :)
  7. The dead pilot still loves that sound ....now for eternity...
  8. Ehhh. Have never in 20 years needed to tamper with pci latancy for any reason what so ever. Please strongly consider other steps before this tip, as you might screw your system up on the hardware front.
  9. Looks like you have a point but just for the fun of it, try with your cpu at standard clock please
  10. Also have a look at: the isp's overselling lines and really crappy setup's. Crappy cobber lines. sub stations which die when it rains. And this is very complex stuff ;) We(the client/server) are trying to sync all this up in REAL time and get it back to the client real time. Then there is the end user factor which (head on the chopping block) is 75% of the problem. tweaked systems 7 av protectors/spamfighters etc. real time fps recorders/pc monitors etc a cheap router (not end users real fault here) the gem...on wifi connect along with 10 others due to no protection or just 10 kids sharing the connection..which is a 2Mbit/0.5Mbit looool. wifi is just not for this type of gaming and will ruin all other players experience period...so do not show with a wifi and say that yours work, its does not period. tough! but somebody must man up and try to kill this myth off once and for all :) windows with real time index and defrag on etc. And many many more...look at my self-made hacked and chopped windows....looks nice but has no place in the world of online play ;) And we have no way of verifying that the end user has the house in order other than their word (which offers no guarantee at all). Now.....you first port of call is that the game is faulty...well not true on this planet. Is the quality of the game without merit ? no not at all but to be hornets it really counts for so little in terms of weirdness during the online game. "but how do u xplain the missle going haywire or a building floating or other weird stuff(make up you own)? could it be due to one of the factors above aswell as being the game fault ? If yes then their is no going after the game as the sole culprit.... Remember we are trying to mimic an analog thing with digital means... So rant/lecture complete for now. Ed fanboy? nope / realist ? well at least i take it into account. I can easily write "i see the same bug" but why it's bugging...well have no clue or where to begin pointing fingers. What to do ? Lets get a decent internet first...ok give me a planet full of money and labour and you will have it :)
  11. Loaded couple of ka-50's for a sidewinder test in the early days...The game didn't let me win...want my money and my time back ;)
  12. I can confirm that full led brightness works on the jitters.
  13. Screen-shots are located in the Narnia folder and you know were that folder is. Edit: at 1min 49 secs. Found one in the funny folder.
  14. I've added to that zoom thingy. A sound piece going TA-DAAA- BOING!! Sets the tone for the mission. Have different sounds for all kinds of missions.
  15. ACE C64 :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kx0WF3wrIkk
  16. Sorry but isn't that pc below minimum specs ?
  17. Works fine here
  18. Cool many thanks for the exelent work :)
  19. Cool :) What you actually did was the right approach. It's a pain to go through but it worked out in the end. :) Too many people don't see that they spend two weeks complaining and a complete reinstall of windows with the prober backups takes about 6-8 hours actual time :)
  20. Time for you to contact support the prober way :)
  21. You said F-18 ;) :D
  22. A-10 as you might need those skills in the upcoming jet.
  23. keep topic and start a new one please :)
  24. Also if ED's Isp is not up to scratch then that could be a factor. That's out of ED's hands and if ED is a small customer then they have no chance for a change. Isp is likely to go: "500.00 customers says everything is all-right or don't complain, 1 company says "we have a problem" Isp : tough... :) Maybe the masterserver is abit hasty to drop servers from the list in case of dropped packets.. It's a very small needle and a very big haystack...:(
