Tally all that great info however; To be perfectly clear about what it was I was trying to snoop out. WAS a response from anyone, that could shine a light on whether or not you can be in, a i.e. M1A1 as client, and manually fire a round off at i.e. a T-72...Where in theory there could be a live human vers live human on the map!? Are you that selectively pre•ten•tious about the way you virtually simulate the use of a virtual real life weapon.. I mean.. Come on man... so it’s not a pretty weapon is that your point? As usual the posting of a simple question or a suggestion on this forum will undoubtedly result in a heated discussion of_____ well just everything from morals to less than common sense issues. I am amazed of the people / virtual pilots that can be so moved emotionally over a simple request to the DEVs’ about a subject like NAPALM. HeHe this cracks me up mon! Hence this post was made in the “WISH LIST” forum!!!!! So far we have issues of morality of methods in which we kill the COMPUTER GENERATED enemy. Hummm let me get this right… you only want to kill them from long distance standoff non personal methods…ok I can see your point.. Where has all the Chivalry gone in modern air combat? But let’s not shove your head up your….I mean put your head in the sand and ignore that the P-51 did indeed deliver the NAPALM! Maybe the reason we were not delivered the NAPALM weapon in the Beta was, they don’t know how to do this without killing more frame rates than enemy units, or they simply haven’t thought of it yet or hay! Maybe they might just take the request into consideration if by some chance the even read this silly post in this” WISH LIST” forum…. I say we try and think of ways to make the thing we like\love better. So “Let there be NAPALM” Messy or not you know you want it. Remember it’s a fun thing so TRY and keep it real; you don’t have to suck up to them to get an idea across!

Pic of a P-51 dropping NAPALM I found this in a "TIME LIFE" article! The most interesting part of Joe’s presentation was the question and answer session. He said that the P-51 had a torque problem but nothing he couldn’t handle. It had bad visibility to the ground and the cockpit was always hot. It was a noisy plane. It had an exposed radiator and coolant system so was susceptible to small arms fire when flying low. That’s why he did not like rocket runs since the enemy would fire at him. He preferred machine gun runs and especially napalm runs when everyone below would crouch down in their trenches and not fire at him. He said, “We loved napalm!” The 50 caliber machine guns were used in only 3-5 second bursts otherwise they would overheat. Most of his attacks were over North Korea. He did lose one P-51 which was hit by his own rocket parts during a rocket run. The rocket pieces hit his coolant system. The ejection seat did not work so he “dove from the wing” and parachuted at about 1500’ AGL. Army Rangers picked him up. The only way to handle T-34 tanks was dive bombing them with 500 pound bombs. He would dive from about 15,000 feet to 2500 feet and his body sustained about 3-3.5 Gs. At 10,000 feet he would be flying about 410-420 mph. mojeaux out;

I’ve been checking out the P-51 for a week or so now. Lotsa fun ya know! I have noticed that when doing an external view on bomb impact’s I was getting no explosion graphics. I just wrote this off as a Beta issue and was going to just be silent about it! However; tonight 3 of us hooked up online together to test a new mission I’m working on. While in comms I asked my squad buddy Hollywood if he was able to see bomb graphics when the bomb hit the earth. He said yes he gets the explosions! However I still only get a tiny puff of brown dusty smoke when mine are hitting the ground. Yes I have setting to High and visa versa while testing this issue! Has anyone else had this experience? Any Ideas out here? 16th Mojeaux out

I too found a difference to SP and MP take offs. In my case though, it was easier to take off in the MP server I was in. I found that by going to SP Options/Special and then turning OFF the "AUTO RUDDER" and then sliding down the "TAKE-OFF ASSISTANCE" slider all the way to the left made the Sim perform normaly for me... Maby the newbys need to slide the take off assistance slider more to the right and check the auto rudder!

So if you were to go the extra mile here. You can use "Speeds" slmod...then you can use the " LOS function (line of sight to a specific radious target!) and when your doing your search and destroy missions then you come into range of said targets, the mod will give you the MGRS or LL coordinates to that set of targets either in chat or text text form, standing still or moving.. I just haven't had that much luck gettin JTAC to work like it should (bugs!). But heck..if the JTAC was working good we really wouldn't need the slmod so much for that purpose. Sooo I feel your pain my friend...

Where to put custom sounds I found, that by making a "common folder" in the "C:\Users\myname\AppData\Saved Games\.... then making a folder there that has been named, "Black Shark 2 and A10 C Common folder" you can start to add your mission project folders there! In that folder keep your custom sounds for that missions and special photos that are of the 1024 x 1024 jpg nature for briefing pic's! You can easily find them each time you refer to them while making that perfect .miz... This way..you can edit from the ME of Black Shark and the A10..going back and forth. this makes for great ease of finding your material and your missions when your ready to find that mission and fly .ya know..as you test the .miz hehe... 16th Mojeaux out

KA-50 Blue ver KA-50 Red Weps don't fire

Thanks for the reply nomdeplume" Hay I seam to have been able to put a KA-50 on the RED sid, with no problems... But it was just weird how that all went down. I had to remove the Red KAs' and start over again with all the flights. I even went as far as making the simple mission just to prove that both sides CAN have KA-50s'..we use to fly like that all the time... I was wondering if NEone could help me out here. I’ve got a mission built that is very well tested and played often by my squad members daily. Today I thought I would raise the bar just a bit and start adding a few enemies KA-50’s. All that went fine, adding Russian KA-50’s, FARPs eye candy and such, weapons and way points for the Russian KA-50’s (4). However when I went to test the Russian KA-50’s I was unable to fire weapons i.e. “Guns, Rockets, Vickers…hummm..The language in the Russian cockpit was “in Russian” and appeared that most everything else was normal! So without making any edits I went to the Blue (US) KA-50 and ramped it up as usual and the weapons did NOT work in that KA-50 either, also... the language and cockpit are in Russian now… I’m I going about this all wrong? Might there be a bug? OR...has ED made it to where your not suppose to have KA-50 ver KA-50’s? If there was instructions on this I missed it. I looked all morning and no info was found by me.
