I use a rift s, so you might get a different result. But one trick I use to help the inside-out tracking is to use bright colored post-its. I have 2 small bright orange sticky notes on the floor at both sides of my chair. So when I look at the consoles, the HMD still has something to use a reference points against our white floor. You can use the post-it trick on the wall behind you or your chair's headrest as well. I noticed that a 1 inch by 1/2 inch sticky note is still trackable at 6-8 feet away. Just make sure it stands out from the color of the surface its on.

Did you guys ever tweak the FOV? I'm thinking this might fail IC, since the file is Server.lua. But for single player and for the Rift S, it does help to reduce the FOV from 140, to 120. Since the Rift S FOV is only 115. -

Hi Mbot, I was just wondering if you had documentation on which files did what? I was thinking of creating a dynamic campaign based on the Normandy WWII Theather. If you don't thats perfectly fine. I'll figure it out. I just thought of checking if you did.

I got these to work in the current open beta by removing the static objects on the carrier. YMV though, it is open beta after all.

I play with wake turbulance on. And haven't seen any issues in that campaign while formation flying. What I did see is a drop in frame rate when too many planes are in my immediate vicinity.

So true. I'm guilty as well. What would be nice though are some pictures/screenshots of not just the carrier but also of the other ships. Its something nice to see while we wait.

Same here. But this latest patch did have an improvement in VR. The same bomber escort mission that dropped my fps to single digits now stays at a stable 20fps, and it feels like its fighting to stay there. I see split second dips here and there. But they immediately go back to 20fps. Which now makes me wonder. Because my 2.5.5 installation can only run that same mission at 14-16fps...

This had me fooled. I was playing one of the DCE campaigns. I was playing for more than an hour straight. When I exited I was surprised to realize that I forgot to switch back to my stable 2.5.5 installation before playing the campaign. Good job ED!

To be honest, I'm just thankful that ED is still working during these very troubled times. I'm setting my expectations to maybe around mid May. Just as the sale ends. I just hope there wouldn't be issues like planes sliding on the deck.

The new DCE and its campaigns work fine for me on open beta. But I had to be more aggressive on the pruning because of the way the open beta is. But these are awesome. The old ones still work on the current stable. And I've flown over 10 missions on the Desert Tiger campaign. Any chance of creating a WWII Campaign on the normandy map?

Thank you! I edited the file. I changed the Prune value from 1.5 to 2 and changed the Prune StaticObjects from false to true. It now works wonderfully. I've already done 3 missions. This is AWESOME!!! Thank you for your hardwork!:thumbup:

For the India-Pakistan series, I was just wondering how do you adjust the pruning? Everything is fine until I get close to the target area and my FPS takes a nose dive to single digits.

I got a very very slight improvement in fps in VR. What normally would be 20 fps with asw on (busy carrier deck), is now at 22-23 fps. What I did notice is in the FPS drops. Instances that used to grind my FPS to single digits (escorting a flight of bombers over Normandy) no longer goes to single digits. There are still FPS drops, but less of a drop. I7 7700 16GB 2070S

Try refueling in an AV8B. You almost have to look partially behind you to see the probe

This campaign actually has another problem. The downed Huey in the Lost Contact mission is in a spot where there is no clearing. It's impossible to land without hitting the trees.

+1 Even with the shaders mod. FPS dropped. But still playable for me. I7 7700, 16gb RAM, 2070 Super

I managed to fix the issue. As odd as it sounds, turning the terrain textures to low fixed the issue with the FPS.

The no vr command line option works for me. My version openbeta 2.5.6.43503 I used Skatezilla's updater to update the openbeta
