Considering i was referencing comments from a post other than yours, i wouldn't get too huffy. Mind you, it applies to you equally, so get huffy if you like. I got what you were saying from your first post, the point is still valid; you're not going to get a 'run and gun' game from the Arma series. Soz.

Perfect stick for A-10C from Thrustmaster?

They are all good and a great purchase I haven't had one issue with them. They're dead simple to set up in any game. -
The only steam complaint is that i had to pay twice. I demand some lovin' for compensation... who's gonna grease up?

lol! Floating cursors and drunken-moving soldiers! For an experiment, grab a backpack and pack it with a wad of stuff and then grab yourself a broom handle. Now go find a slight hill and run up it and when you get to the top, put the broomstick to your shoulder like a rifle and see if you can hold it on a man-sized target about 100metres in the distance. Shooting accurately over a distance isn't easy, when you add exercise, increased heart beat and breath plus the weight of gear carried then you can appreciate that it's quite impressive that bullets even land near a target. That's why infantry don't run around with one-shot rifles... you need rounds downrange. If you're looking for this quick action, pinpoint accuracy, one-shot head-shot kills then stick with MW2; that's what that game is designed for! This game is designed to get in a good firing position with your team and then put rounds downrange, preferably when laying down. I understand it can be frustrating if you're looking for something in the game that isn't there and you think it should be; God knows i've done that plenty of times with plenty of games... but i'm pretty confident that most Arma players would say that the movement and related POI shift is fine as it is.

I've said it A MILLION TIMES! It's going to be the F-111... even if ED don't know it yet, it still is. I command it! COMMAND I SAY! ;) -
Top stuff... at least their new software and programming will support the Cougar. I'm not getting rid of mine anytime soon, in fact i'm about to chuck a U2nxt and Hall Sensors in it! It was made as a replica, so it's the size it's supposed to be. Exactly how small are your hands!? Mine aren't massive and i have no problems whatsoever. I'm like you in that i love the idea of a study sim A10 and would like a HOTAS Warthog, but can't justify the cash on a whole seperate setup. I wish you could just buy the throttle block seperately!

From the first quote, it *seemed* like you were talking mostly about movement and that Modern Warfare 2 had much more realistic movement (). Apologies if this wasn't the case. In any case, the 'lag' on the movement in Arma2 is to try and convey a sense of proper movement (i dunno about you, but i'd get tired if i was sprinting around everywhere with weapons and what-not a la MW2). Yanno? Slower, tactical etc etc. Anyway, glad your mouse issue got sorted!

Where'd you get the MFD's from over here in Aus? I had to get mine from Germany! -
FSX is great with scenery addons I love flying a Cessna with the ORBX Blue South addon and seeing the sights over my city.
-
I'm confused You want more realism... except for the soldier movement. So everything else needs to be real, but you want to be able to move like a F1 race car? Seriously... body armour + webbing + pack + ammo + weapon system = a lot of weight to move effectively. No one wearing that is going to run like asafa powell. Remember, it's still a sim/game. For an ultra realistic experience you should consider joining your local defence forces.

It's going to be the F-111 or i'll cry -
Rock on 10.7 and the 5970 performance increase!
-
Agreed RSharpe I prefer the steam platform for delivery... just like i prefer xbox live for xbox game delivery. ED got a win out of me as i paid for DCS: Black Shark again to have the steam version; i'm not stoked about paying twice, but it makes life easier for me in the long run (reinstalls on systems, backup etc)

Good cpu for overclocking to 4Ghz.

You'll pay wads less for AMD3 chips as well and the black editions are unlocked. Unless you do stuff other than gaming that chews wads of stuff, you'll be fine with AMD IMHO. I had to make the same decision and decided on AMD due to cost, performance and the fact they don't change their sockets every week. -

DCS: Forms TFS/ED have finally come out with information regarding the much-anticipated next step in the DCS series. DCS: Forms will have you dotting i's, crossing t's and signing on dotted lines like some kind of lawyer on amphetamines. ED have stated that this step in the series will feature unheard of before fidelity including, for the first time, interactive voice manipulation. You will now have the ability to take a hold of a form and state clearly "what the f*ck is this for?" or "for God's sake mate, how long does it take for that part to be shipped?". The AI for the new DCS title has been upgraded to the much yearned for 'dynamic campaign' where random forms are generated... ensuring that no game is exactly the same. ED anticipate a 6 month release date, but stated that we should probably add 24 months to that because they were telling porky pies. -

Phenom II x4 965 BE or Phenom II x6 1090T hit 4GHz resonably easy. A corsair H50 CPU water cooler costs the same as a high end air cooler and in most cases (using push pull and a shroud or 2) will perform a bit better... plus the noise and weight on your motherboard is less. -

No anger, just confusion. You posted a thread about switching HOTAS systems, defended the system you wanted to buy when it was flagged that it had some bad feedback and generally ignored any advice and input in your whole thread. The thread *almost* seemed like it was weighing the pros and cons, but it's clear you made the decision to get the G940 regardless... so why create a thread at all? It's a bit like bumping into a friend in the street and saying "G'day mate, how are you?" and as they start to reply you run around wildly with your hands over your ears screaming "lalalalalalalalalalala!". -

I said i couldn't be bothered linking to bad reviews... but one popped up in this thread. PM him instead and ask him for more info. Instead you're PM'ing about a trade, so this thread was a complete and utter waste of time and the only purpose of it was to serve as a baby blanket for you to make a purchase. -
I was like you DTWD, except less motivated and decided i had better uses of my time... so i ended up getting some goflight stuff and using their software to send the keystrokes http://www.goflightinc.com/BrowseProducts.aspx?DepID=2 The T8 module works a treat
