As in, do the TM MFD's take up any screen real estate and cover some of the information on the screen? Do you have to resize the information on the screen to fit within the TM MFD bezels?
-
Holy crap! I just checked your site... you have some effing cool stuff The F16 panels are awesome! If only they came with all the switches and lights and a way for it to talk to the computer... and instructions... and prefab stuff to mount all the panels on. That'd be awesome. I wouldn't buy the panels now because i'd have to source all the switches and lights and stuff and work out a way for it to talk to the computer, which is a bit beyond me at the moment... but if it was more of a kit, i could easily have my own F16 cockpit! That'd rock. Nice stuff!

Yeah, i can't find a 4:3 7" screen either... did you have to adjust the displays at all due to the TM MFD's cutting off info? I have a 7" touchscreen. Stop selling stuff... take out a banner ad! ... either that or make me a beta tester for your stuff and then i'll pimp it for you.

DCS: F-111 I heard from my inside sources... which are the voices inside my head :P -
Do the 8" screens fill the cougar MFD's perfectly?

A phenom II x4 965 BE C3 running at 3.8GHz or 4GHz is a bottleneck? I dunno... maybe i haven't upped something i should've then. My ram is 8gb running @ 1600MHz 8-8-8-24-27 and a 2600MHz northbridge Dunno... always happy to take advice

I have xplane 9 and FSX I haven't used either extensively, but noticed that if both are just standard installs then xplane tends to looks a tad better scenery wise and run smoother. FSX outstrips xplane 9 when you use addons for scenery and stuff... but you need to fine tune settings for a smooth run.

Because it's an internet forum and people only say positive things to suck up to try for more info/benefits. If the development project doesn't fulfill all needs to all people, for instance "this is a bug - i noticed a street light in one mission wasn't on when the rest were" then it's a forum for demanding that change and then chin-stroking and speculating in depth as to why it wasn't included in the first place and why it should be, because it'd be so 'immersive'.

I didn't think it could... but will defer to the above if it's true I run the lighting off all the time anyway, it's way bright

Yeah, on Steam here... always works out cheaper for me. Thanks for that info mate One thing that always frustrates me with Arma is the lack of graphic options. I'd like to be able to enable and disable things. No worries though, i'm not stubborn enough to not turn down the settings to play!
-
Christ No wonder people get disappointed with releases... titles must be all things to all people or it's a fail now.

I fired it up only briefly to have a look and my 5970 strained on it Is it a new/updated graphics engine? Mine ran Arma2 fine!
-
Not really... it's dual core, so like 2 x 2gb crossfired I have a 2gb 5970 clocked at 850/1200 and there are some games that i can't run maxed out (metro 2033, operation arrowhead). The price is over the top though, but if you have the money...

Will trackir be worth it just for DCS A-10C? I can answer that as i just bought trackIR 5 and the track clip last week. Yes In fact, it's worth it just for Falcon 4 AF (which i bought it for) and that doesn't have 6DOF Yes the track clip pro is worth it Yes it's potentially a lot of money, but you will get a lot of immersion and enjoyment from it and it will change the way you play any game/sim that utilises it (looking around easily in arma2 is just gold). To put it bluntly, i'd rather have trackIR than a HOTAS. Hope that helps mate

Interview with Matt Wagner and New Screens from DCS: A10
digital_steve replied to JelalTrueshot's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I'd bet on very, very slow. Apparently BS gets the improvements in a patch after A10C is out... but the patches (as we can see) take a while. I think instead of the supposed "new DCS title each 9 months" it's more like a patch for a title each nine months. People will always notice and want. You'd hope they would all drop at the same time, but we've seen from FC2.0 that this is probably not going to be the case. I doubt it'll happen... if it does, prepare for a damn long wait. -

digital_steve replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I dunno if i voted I vote for F-111... i dunno how you go about dealing with the 2 seater issue, but it'd be cool -
Fun on xbox360... doubt i'd bother on PC
