  1. Perhaps a silly question but did you disable CSM in the bios (compatibility support module)? Not a silly question.... Er. No I didn't. Was that a silly move?
  2. OK so warning for all z390/i9th gen intel. I really don't understand this..... Seems as if its only 10th and 11th gen CPUs that support rebar. However I do have rebar as an option on the latest bios for my z390 board. Flashed the board, flashed the card. All fine. Went into the BIOs, enabled rebar. Then no more booting PC. Motherboard gives a CPU error. I have small heart attack.... I had to clear the CMOS and reset before it would boot again. I'm not going to try that again! I stand by my first post.... This rebar is just the first nail in my z390's coffin. Seems ridiculous that it is part of the new BIOs firmware yet cannot be used, I mean its not like you can cross generations of CPU with Chipset so I cant ever see this feature working!
  3. I can! I saw a YT vid that said it was only for z490 and z590. But I do have a new bios available with rebar. I'll have to get it all flashed and see if it works.
  4. I think z390 is too old for rebar.. Damn, first nail in the coffin..
  5. I'm still hoping on the April Fools theory... no?
  6. You see! they could have said 14:00 and been early. LOL Its not an issue really. I have no idea how difficult these things are to code and build, not easy I'm sure. They do say dates are subject to change. Its fine
  7. Dates do slip all the time, its reality for all sorts of things. I worked in a job where we had to provide delivery deadlines and I always added a bit extra onto what I thought at the outset. Saved me a few times. Also got me brownie points a few times for delivering early. Either way its not the end of the world... I guess....
  8. Depends when it was said. Before the 2021 and beyond video I wasn't expecting clouds soon. So if they had said end of Q2 2021 it would have been fine.
  9. I hear you, but I guess the answer would be to over estimate. If they had said June 2021 ages ago it would have been fine. I'd forgive them..
  10. Could be April fools?? Maybe its actually coming this afternoon.... Hi. I'm new here!
  11. Er... they can start everything....
  12. No update on the EE lighting. Oh Dear. That means its a very very long way off......
  13. Erm.. Not sure actually. They generally disappear after a little while!
  14. What's satellite camera mode?
  15. Yeah I agree. Wonder if they will drift with the wind?
  16. If you are interested in VR shame you hold yourself back over this. So many others do. Everyone loves the best graphics they can get including us VR users. The resolution is high, very high actually (G2 runs at over 4k) What you may be referring to is that the graphics do not render as "clean" in VR as they are on a monitor. This is true, even with 4k+ however for a few years, its pretty good. So good you don't notice after a few hours. I would love to go back to a high res 2D monitor, but the sense of scale, depth, height and direction aren't there for me yet
  17. ED - Quick questions... If the new clouds are synced in MP and going to be delivered in presets (at first), will that mean that for any given cloud preset used on a map it will always be the same? or will it be a random generation? For example if there is a "scattered clouds" pre-set (a guess on my part) then any time that is used by anyone SP or MP for say the PG map then the same shape clouds will be in the same places every single time? Or will the actual pattern vary each time the mission is loaded. Also will the presets change during the mission time or will they be fixed? Just interested to know.
  18. It literally says the 31st - Subject to change. Today is the 24th
  19. I'm pretty sure I spotted new prop effects on the mozzie last video it was in (cant remember which one)
  20. That old chestnut... Enjoy
  21. At the end of day, things are going to take resources and we want the game to move on and keep improving as it has been. Hardware moves on too. I think the clouds will be great even if they do take a bit of power, and it's not like they have to be on all the time! Can't wait for VR cloud surfing...
  22. Yeah many people are worried about the performance of the new clouds. Especially us in VR. I'm hopefully it won't.... I think it will be amazing to surf through those formations in a f-16 or a p-47. As for going back to 2D jeez, no! Lol. It's basically the same as watching it on YT! Except you get to choose where to go...
  23. How did you do it.
  24. Thanks for that information. It is really interesting. I can see how difficult this sort of behaviour would be to model and the number of variables involved also make it unlikely to respond in the same way. I may try the other manoeuvres you describe, see how it responds.
  25. No that's not the same as the test. Transonic speed, above 35k, asymmetrical load out. Roll and hard pull - rapid g onset.
