  1. Correct me if Im wrong, but if the aircraft isnt loaded asymetrically, then there should be no reason an aircraft should favor one side heavy. To me, that would indicate improper maintenance procedures, and the ailerons would have to be readjusted on the ground. The only time that should apply is when the aircraft is prop driven, and the airframe should pull in the opposite direction of torque...and that really would only apply to prop aircraft that are both single engine, or dual opposed engines that cant synchronize engine rpm.
  2. By any chance, do you use Advanced System Care?
  3. Yeah, but its like trying to get your 3 yr old kid to dress themselves - they can do it, but they wont.
  4. You have to delete your key bindings and remap your keys again. Go to your saved games/dcs/config/input folder and delete everything in the UH-1H folder. Then restart the simulator and let it build a new keyboard and joystick layout.
  5. I have all of mine with both a notepad and a copy of the email saved to each individual folder on a fresh bluray disk AND thumb drive....and a separate external hard drive, and on Mega, dropbox....and I still have the torrents for them (which get updated every patch). All that, and it makes me even happier that I can log into the DCS website and can download AND copy my keys a'la 100 mbit internet.
  6. Best tactical advice? Find a few buddies online and develop techniques. Here are a few Ive learned over the years. 1. Trail formation gives the enemy at your 12 o'clock a stacking problem on radar. The ships behind you are hard to separate from the radar screen. 2. Go high - low. Wingmen that go high and low give an altitude problem hard to see on radar. 3. Go wall and spread out - wingmen that spread out give the enemy an azimuth problem and may have issues tracking all aircraft within his radar cone. Thats about as far as my BVR knowledge goes...its limited, and it sucks.
  7. Give it about a month or so, those smaller springs will wear out pretty fast. I wound up needing to replace them recently because of that. Be nice to finally see a cyclic on the market soon, I may have to invest in one....
  8. It could also be password related. Also, you SHOULD set your network speed to LAN in multiplayer.
  9. You know, I tried to fly without my spring, and I found the joystick to be too flimsy without it. The joystick is too heavy not have any resistance behind it to keep it from tipping over.

Im happy with my gas guzzling pig. Small pen0r. You better be hung like a bear if you drive a Prius....
  12. Flak has been implemented for some time now. I started noticing it in 1.2.4.
  13. Ill put this in plain simple english where everyone can understand...even me. Situational Awareness means you have control of the situation. Loss of SA means you dont have full control of the situation. No SA means you are going down in a ball of flames...or are about to.
  14. Just because you have wingmen or allies in the area in comms with you, doesnt mean you are able to use that information to the fullest extent -if at all. Thats what GG is getting at here. You, on the other hand, have your hands full defending, and your options are limited by which direction to defend towards and against.
  15. Im going to go out on a limb here - and it may be a far reached branch - that perhaps the update attempted to fix the exact same things listed in the previous version. Or it could just be a cumulative update for the BAe Hawk.
  16. Yeah and I mentioned that.
  17. That was the link that the updater provided.....Ill double check on that really fast. And yep...that link is outdated. Bummer................................................ BTW...
  18. Just so you guys know for future reference, the update log is listed on the DCS updater. Its the View Changelog quick link that is next to the update button. And from what Ive seen so far, its only available before you update, so...yeah. And here is the link - http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1989994&postcount=3 You all can thank me in the form of a paypal donation. I need to find someone who can solder, so even better!
  19. you should delete your config folder in your saved games directory and start from scratch there. A lot has passed since 1.2.2...
  20. FWIW, I had to order mine through TM tech support, and it cost me a whopping 7 dollars + 30 bucks shipping and handling. The item is located in France, so thats why shipping is so high, but yeah...deal with TM first.
  21. I just ordered a new part exactly identical to yours just this weekend to replace mine. Didnt cost me 70 dollars...
  22. Or its photoshopped with the cloud render filter...which isnt too hard to do! Half of the screens in this thread are photoshopped in some way or other...
  23. Enemy soldiers placed on buildings are practically indestructible regardless of mission. Its a DCS issue; about the only way you can kill the units is to destroy the building or with direct rocket fire.
  24. I know how to turn on the SAS, just never knew you could trim the pedals. The trick to this is to keep your aircraft aligned nose-tail to your target. Your crosshairs are accurate, but the ship likes to drift so your munitions arent always going to go to the crosshairs. It takes a lot of practice....
