  1. On an earlier version??
  2. Take the computer to your sisters house and do an update. Sounds easy. Unless it is a 300 mile drive.
  3. I believe, just as the mouse nub, mouse wheel on the throttle replicates your Operating System mouse. You would have to go into the mouse setup and play with settings for mouse wheel.
  4. How does inserting earplugs facilitate listening thru headphones? Just asking
  5. That was my problem on first start up. Couldn't move. Spent 10-15 minutes looking for brake release. Then while in F2 view I watched as I used the brakes and only then did I find brake pedals needed inverting. How's that for a semi-non-nooby being a noob?
  6. Good grief, are you as old as I am? I remember those cheat codes, but darned if I remember where I used them.
  7. Worked for me also. 49 - 15 Glad I ran across the long thread, I might not have ordered it.
  8. Forgive me for saying, but... everyone knows that Sabre drivers were the real men!
  9. Moved or not... A-6 gets the business done, in a manly way.
  10. You must have clicked the right side download, it's premium (fast) download and requires you to pay and be a premium member. The download on left side is free and is slow, has a wait time and will ask for you to answer a captcha question. (my best guess)
  11. Here's what I ended up doing.. did end up at a comp with cable, installed DCS World 1.2.8, zipped the install, got caught up in another project. Came back home, but forgot the USB stick........ so, I fed 20$ more into cable bill so I would have another 2 gigs for downloading update for my original DCS World 1.2.7 I'm now on 1.2.8 beta, but a few bucks shorter. Next time I'll just carry the comp with me. A lot less time and cheaper that way. (and I don't have to remember to bring the USB stick back with me) Thanks for input!
  12. Okay, I'm resigned to flying 1.2.7 until I move again. I usually make a move every 10 to 12 years. See Ya.
  13. Ping is an issue, I have stopped using multi play in all sims, but as to the updating 1.2.7 to 1.2.8 via Zip file???
  14. I have moved recently and now, instead of cable, I am proud owner of Satellite internet. I get 3 gigs per month bandwidth (yahoooo). I have this wild hare idea of installing beta 1.2.8 on another computer in town. Zip that up and bring it home on a zip drive. Do you think it will work by just extracting over my 1.2.7 Beta install? You never appreciate unlimited bandwidth until it is gone.
  15. I, for one, will take any AH-1 that Belsimtek will dish out!
  16. Too bad they don't have a counter so that they can see how many (and costly) bulbs have been wasted by errant mouse movements.
  17. Good Grief! I thought I broke something, logged on to the site and was looking at the bottom of the screen and I hear all this glass breaking. Didn't know the flash header was active. You can break all the Christmas lights. Cool! Should have know that a breaking monitor doesn't sound like that. By the way, Happy New Year!
  18. Regardless if it penetrates or not. Can you imagine the suppression effect? Well, go ahead and imagine it. Cause it would happen.
  19. I feel for ya Focha, I been there done that. Really tho, the 512 MB card is really taking you down.
  20. ebabil, have you ever seen this type of post and found yourself wondering... how did they fix it? and what was the problem? Surely you have.
  21. Here is another "opinion". I've never used the auto pilot, but I would think it needs to work correctly, since it is there ( I have no idea if it does or not). I've read multiple books from the Nam era where pilot in control have copilot (observer or crew chief) fly for periods of time. It's not a cheat it provides what is needed since we don't have a sharable cockpit yet.
  22. I'm the same as you Mark. I've supported DCS for years by buying every thing they have put out. Choppers are my bag, the A10..... I run traffic patterns and go exploring, but when the bug finally hits me to dig into it more, well, I have it.
  23. That whole thing looks screwy to me!
  24. Just had a quick flash-back to Jane's AH-64, warm smile.
  25. Never dreamed of receiving a coupon, much appreciated!
