  1. I really appreciate all this! I will definantly add this to a text file. When somebody else asks about it elsewhere, I can copy and paste. Most absolutely thank you for the time taken to give this information
  2. Just spent a marvelous amount of time in "search" to no avail. The thing is, in mission editor, once I select to make a new loadout--then what? When the Hawk actually worked, I kept trying to get a weapons loadout for her and always got stumped at 1st base. I've been able to uncover quite a few posts where the answer to all questions concerning this was "use the search facility" or "search is your friend". (I don't think I have had a friend quite like "search") I've come to think that really no one does know so they just use the old standby... use the search engine. Well I did and nothing of any use has been found. So I am humbly asking "What are the steps in building a custom loadout in the Mission Editor?" Thanks in advance (and I'm asking to please not suggest that search is my friend )
  3. To be confused is normal, when you think you know it all.....watch out!
  4. Have you tried un-installing and then re-installing the drivers. Possibly that is only way to really recalibrate. there used to be a bat file around that would erase any joystick settings and you could then recalibrate, but not aware if it is still around or even works in the newer OS's. I could understand if only one axis was off ( it could be a loose pot or chip) but both axis together would indicate software. Maybe check youtube for a x52 joystick mod where you reset the internal parts, I did that at one time---seems they were not actually glued in or something. shifting of parts might explain it. Other than that no clue, but surely one of them is the problem. **edit- This problem is only in DCS? Just happened to think about whether or not you have recently started plugging the stick into a different USB port. As you might know, port should be directly into PC or a powered hub. On rare occasions plugging a version 2 usb into a USB 3 slot doesn't work correctly (motherboard dependent I think)
  5. Ya gotta love ole Jake, love the A-6 even more.
  6. I want the Mig
  7. It's already posted and noted earlier. (fix in the pipe)
  8. I can see scenarios where rebel groups gather and scavenge what ever weapons and hardware they can muster. If one can (I think I read post where this is possible) deplete a weapons availability at start of mission, then strange weaponry should be allowed. It does happen in reality. If your in a conflict, sometimes you scrounge up what you can.
  9. That doesn't look too old, is there someone replicating those now? Maybe templates found on the web? It's very cool! I'm Jealous.
  10. The opening statement was "Here's an idea....... That should explain it.
  11. Yes, what Cibit said!
  12. That's what happens when you don't check in on a Sunday!
  13. Haven't used curves in years, even with the choppers. Did at very first, but dropped them pretty quickly.
  14. No need for the mod now. It's a done deal in latest patches
  15. Yes, I have seen write ups claiming that if you have 16 gigs or more you can turn off page file....... Might work for Facebook, but DCS...nope!
  16. Those are getting mighty scarce, I can't even remember when I retired mine. I do remember seeing a profile for x45 about 3 years ago... somewhere in here. Was probably for the shark ver. 1
  17. Hey, there is not much of anything better than a new DCS Beta! (well, there are a couple of things) but they don't have wings.
  18. My experience is, start update, come back later and there is always an info box telling me that the update was successful. Every update. ***sorry, Just realized this was related to repair.... please move along nothing to see here.
  19. Would you put me on the list. I'd like to have a go. I have tested with modifications for CMS software...mostly Joomla
  20. Okay, I did sort of understand, but I was looking at it backwards. If you install a mod, and run update without remembering to remove the mod first. Then DyMOD will definitely let you know whether or not you can reinstall it after the update? Then if you are the author of mod then he or she just has to compare the files for offending lines. It will be of benefit to end users of mods, (if adding mods with your program) then they can more readily ask mod authors for updates. LOL. All kidding aside, it sounds excellent
  21. This is the way I've flown it from day one. I always read here and there about accumulating errors in trim, but have never experienced any problems using trim this way, just natural as eating apple pie, it seems.
  22. This is similar to the old standbys from years past. I can see that you have probably done a new version and I like the fact that you have brought in json structure. The best thing you have done is add some specific checks such as 'broken" and "repairable" Looks good and a new way of giving us use of adding and subtracting mods. Just one question. I can't seem to follow exactly how --- If one has a mod installed and unwittingly runs an update,, how exactly do you get back to a pure updated file? I think I'm reading that one can end up with updated file, but don't understand how it is accomplished. This of course, would be the best part of your program. Are you implying that this program tracks updates? Then again, I may not be asking the right question.
  23. Just to throw in, I bought CA last summer and have never even opened it up. Only bought to support Ed. It's enough for me just having time to learn the other documented modules, trying to figure out how to run CA without documentation is a no-goer for me. However, I'll support Ed anyway I'm able.
  24. Yeah, the chicken dance thing has really put me off LOL (sarcasm)
