  1. Hello. What bug do you mean?
  2. Hi BN, any chance you can take a look at this? It's been since day 1 of the MAV F and maybe it's time to tackle the issue.
  3. Hi Santi, did you have the time to check?
  4. Bump, major bug in my humble opinion.
  5. Well, attached is a screenshot where I was shocked to see how the lighting works in DCS. The aircraft is like a black shadow in the world. Not very immersive.
  6. AI will not land on carrier if there is bad weather or during night... Track attached. Go forward until it gets in day and the aircraft goes and lands. AI dont land at night.trk
  7. I just found out something really nice. After last update AI units do not land on carriers unless it is fully day light and no bad visibility. Good one!
  8. Yes, the Tarawa always had good lighting and static crew. The stennis won't move and won't turn any light on, it's like a static unit lol. I'm worried that the SC gets the same problems due to DCS engine :(
  9. Come again? What? OMG
  10. I was seeingthe reapers video of the new WWII units and the boats and ships were not moving at all.
  11. Could you check if all ships have this "I won't move" bug?
  12. Same here since hornet day 1. Maybe a feature?
  13. Current stennis CILS has a bug where it is not stabilized like real counterpart (one of the big things I'm looking forward to see in the SC). Now that you mention it I think all ships don't move with water anymore, can't confirm though.
  14. If there is an AWACS flying in the mission and you disable SURV in SA sensor sub menu, the awacs keeps feeding the picture and you will get a diamond in HUD instead of Square for unknown and radar HAFU will be hostile as well, however no HUD hat will be shown. NCTR is disabled as well to be able to reproduce this issue. If you fly same mission with no AWACS then the contact will remain square as unknown in both radar HAFU and HUD. Attached two tracks showing both scenarios so the devs can take a better look. Thanks. iff correct no surv.trk iff not correct with surv.trk
  15. Currently this isn't even working as intended, I'll post a bug report shortly.
  16. To OP: Square means Unknown or Ambiguous. So if something has no iff reply and no other donor is confirming the same lack of reply the trackfile will remain as unknown and HUD will show square. If contact has more than one lack of reply, for instance you and a donor or you and an awacs, the hafu will be hostile and the HUD will show diamond with hat above. If contact replies positive to M4 and you are "alone" hafu will be friendly and HUD will be unknown (problem 1). If contact has more than one positive M4 reply, for instance you and an awacs, the hafu will be friendly and HUD will be unknown with a half circle above indicating friendly. Here is where it starts to smell odd. Like I replied to Santi, when no donors are around but the hornet knows it is a friendly (positive M4), then the HUD won't agree and will say "hey, you think it's friendly, well I don't think so", LOL.
  17. But we are not talking about a hostile cue, we are talking about the lack of a friendly indication in HUD when there are no donors. Right now we cannot trust the HUD for IFF when we are "alone". Which doesn't make any sense IMHO. The aircraft only needs a positive M4 to classify a contact as friendly but the HUD goes rogue and doesn't agree with the rest of the hornet. Sounds odd. This is just me talking anyway.
  18. If they fail to simulate that then it won't be so super. Let's hope ED uses their great people to accomplish this.
  19. One friend told me yesterday that ED broke the f16 with last update... he said that textually lol. He explained that everyone is showing FRIEND in the f16 now so maybe the f16 is sending wrong info over datalink. Educated guess only, i don't own the f16 for obvious reasons. EDIT: FRIEND NOT FOE.
  20. Then someone must have used PLID wrongly.
  21. I'm pretty tired of workarounds, I'd love to see some fixes.
  22. +1. I wonder this my self too. Unfortunately I think we are in front of a DCS limitation here, where the whole engine doesn't have a logic for low visibility where lights are needed. So I doubt they fixed it for the SC. I hope I'm wrong 100%.
  23. This is something that was reported to ED many times but discarded as No Bug every time. In the super hornet a simple positive mode 4 will give you the word "FRIENDLY" in the HUD above the square, but ED states that in the hornet it is not the case. So the pilot doesn't know if it is a friendly by looking at the HUD unless there is an offboard donor in which case you will see the half circle in the HUD. So if you are alone in the battle the HUD won't tell you if it is friendly or not, you'll have to look in the radar page. For me there's no way this is true. But ED has spoken and documents apparently says it is true.
