  1. I've gotten the Ka50 super recently, after I got Gazelle. So I'm probably far away from the "flown correctly" part you mention ;) BUT atm I vastly prefer the trim & auto-pilot features of the Gazelle over the Shark. The magnetic brake trim of the Gazelle is to the point, simpler, and functional. I'm fighting the Shark trim all the time atm without ever finding the sweet spot I need, even going as far as catastrophic trim settings (ie : ends up in the ground). It really really has unnatural behavior to me (I'm not complaining, I just don't understand the bird yet :) ) Same with auto-pilot. I actually rarely use the speed or alt mode in either bird. The trim system of the gazelle makes the need for en-route autopilot redundant, if you ask me. The flight plan autopilot for Shark works fine, I guess. That's probably the only auto-pilot feature I've made working fine up to now ;) I kinda agree with Rogue Trooper. Outside of the super touchy part (getting into hover), the Gazelle feels really safe, because I find her intuitive. Mind you, she's my first DCS chopper, Ka50 is my second. That maybe explains, I don't have previous experience.
  2. What's the effect of "Throttle as slider" ?
  3. It's transparent by default, afaik
  4. EDIT : nvm, I had not read OP properly
  5. My "aln" light is permanently on, now, and the documentation states that it means INS is aligning. I guess I should not care much and do "as if" it was correctly aligned already, and fuctionnal?
  6. It happened to me on my first try on the 104th server. Started up nicely alongside another Fishbed and we took off together.... And then, drama.... Impossible to follow the guy. I couldn't for the hell of me see what was wrong, I wasted 2 migs before logging out in shame.... Found the answer on C6 forums, too late :(
  7. Should be easier than the eagle boom-in-the-back, shouldn't it? (not that I have it easy in the 15.... :( ) That said, memories of basket refueling in Jane's FA18 are nightmarish.....
  8. Wonderfull. Keep it up, you're doing a superb job!
  9. Wait, I missed the news..... air refueling in Mirage is now functionnal?
  10. Ah, this! Thks! Didn't know the reticule thingy was on the same control as mig-15
  11. Setup looks interesting, but, noob question here : Ranging? :)
  12. Should be "Right Alt + Home" key combination by default to unlock throttle from STOP position. The keybinding configuration for this is under "Systems", it's the item in full uppercase "THROTTLE TO IDLE" or something like that. Apart from that I don't see what could prevent you from unlocking the throttle.... Works fine on my side, as well as re-binding (works so fine that I had the "back to STOP" bound to a button on my throttle that was clearly misplaced, ended up stopping the engine just as I was ready to take off..... :) )
  13. Thanks for that! If I'm not mistaken, Krymsk outer NDB frequency is 803, not 830
  14. Seen the mail. Lost money in the following minutes. Gained a future time-sink. I'm a happy owner.
  15. Thanks! I indeed missed to point in the manual about the way it's handled in the sim (I used another tutorial for radio). And you're right, tweaking transmitter settings do not alter the receiver wave selection. Working as intended
  16. Hello, Before going into the "bug" part of the forums, I'd like to check I didn't miss something else before. Here's my little issue : the manual states that Mig-15 radio receiver and transmitter can be configured separately. When I'm selecting the wave on the receiver knob, it changes the wave on the transmitter selector, and vice-versa, changing the transmitter waves changes the receiver wave. Both keep being synchronized. Anyone else has seen this issue? Did I miss smtg?
  17. Can't you use the HOTAS software to emulate everything from the toggles?
  18. I had the same. A reinstall from fresh did the trick
  19. From the closed beta forum, it just looks like the Beta 2 full files are not yet ready for download, so there isn't even a http link at the moment. Patience, patience. on a unrelated side note, I guess you're the same Kylania than on Bohemia Interactive's forums? :)
  20. Page should be secured, only people logged in with your account could see it, I would say (well, I hope it works that way :D that would be a minimum requirement) Ie : you was the only one able to access the page, so no worry
  21. 4 out of 9 : - Best Picture - Best cinematography - Best editing - Best independent machinima
  22. The latest tendancy is more to go for Intel Core 2 Duo instead of Athlon X2 serie. Core 2 won the performance race since last july, I think. And by a fair margin. + you'll get rid of many heat issues and such. After that it's all a matter of price, of course, but I'd advise for a Intel CPU. Something I don't usually do :P
  23. What some of the non french speaking people may miss is the awesome accent of the flight instructor :D I don't see how to "translate" it, though :( Awesome movie, guys :)
  24. Wait for Armed Assault in the meantime, coming around May this year ;) Anyway, could we also have screens of the new environnement rendering, if any, please, ED? With cherry on top, of course :P
