  1. Hey folks, Anyone else have an issue contacting tankers? I only flew mission 3 but could not get either of the tankers to reply to me on the radio when requesting to rejoin for fuel. They are just silent. Also when tuning in either of the tacans neither seem to be working.
  2. Yes I see Bunyap redid the campaign. Minus the inconsistency between waypoints it's actually a great campaign I think!
  3. Thanks, yep I figured out the deal. The campaign mission I am flying seems to work 100% using a different aircraft module so at least that's good!
  4. Hi all, Is it just me or has this campaign had some sort of major overhaul fairly recently? It appears the documentation has changed. Now instead of nice maps with wpts we have some sort of pretty poor kneeboard line up cards? Also, I can see in the ME that the waypoints (at least in Mission 3) do not match the line-up card nor the the little map graphic. There seems to be extra waypoints for CAP zones. And the sequence of waypoints is now completely different compared to the old docs I have. I saved the original documentation. Looks like they've actually changed quite a bit?
  5. Actually I just realised that after making changes to this DLC mission in the ME, the "save" or "save as" options are greyed out! Why is that? Any way round it? I had copied and renamed the said mission before starting to tinker with it.
  6. Hi all, I want to take a mission from a DLC campaign and within the mission editor, change the aircraft type for the player's unit. Will this break the mission for some reason I can't think of? I assume all the triggers should still work?

    Turbulence

    I also think turbulence in DCS is very very poor, even when selected in the ME. In general you always fly through perfectly smooth air - in clouds, over mountains, everywhere. It's one area where MSFS does feel light years ahead... just little bumps here and there. Really wish DCS made an attempt at fixing this, as it's an amazing simulation otherwise. Regarding wake turbulence I am really not convinced. I switched it off. Unless something has changed in the last year? I have around 5500h of flight time in real life just for reference. Maybe others will disagree but I am just not sold on the wake turbulence. Feels very weird sometimes and doesn't give you a sort of buffet you'd expect either.
  8. Thanks! Finally got it to work. Is there a way of actually dropping/ spraying water from the water tank under the Huey? Or from the water basket?
  9. Could you tell me the file path in C/Eagle Dynamics/... for the WaterTankSystem, Ext_Fuel, Flexcam & powerline folders for the mod? I'm wondering if I've put them in the wrong place or something

Also, is there a way of actually dropping water from the Huey somehow? From the bucket or otherwise? Cheers!
  11. Turns out you can't drop any water from the bucket in the mod above. Anyone know of any mod where this would be possible?

  13. Hi all, I've stumbled across a few videos showing the Huey with an external water tank system and apparently the ability to drop water? Can't find this mod anywhere. Could someone point me in the right direction? Also, is there any water bucket mod for the Huey?
  14. Thank you very much for your input! Can you think of any way of not having to separate flights into 1 aircraft each? At least 2 in a flight would be good. I suppose there's no way of separating units within a flight? I would like to have at least a pair of jets CAP'ing together, otherwise it breaks the immersion a little bit. And in terms of scripting something like this, how difficult would it be for someone who has never done any and has no background in computing (and actively hates computers when they don't work lol)?
  15. Hi folks, Could someone please help me achieve the following using some sort of combo of triggers, if it's possible? All planes are set to immortal. Once a plane gets hit by either a missile or guns, that plane then switches to a home-bound waypoint, ROE to "no reaction to threat" and RTBs. Can this be achieved somehow? Much much obliged!   17. What approach plates? Approach plates are for instrument approaches generally, not a for a standard visual circuit to land normally.
  18. Do you guys by any chance know what is the standard CF-18 circuit to land? Assume they don't fly the usual US Navy 800ft/ 350kts to break?

  22. Thanks but I was meaning objects /tarmac that we can place. The default DCS roads are super narrow and don't allow for any jets to manoeuvre unless you go on the grass!

  24. Ah thanks! Yeah I don't know if it's shadow related or not (read through that topic, thanks!) but it seems like 3D grass is making a huge difference to performance. Previously it wasn't ven making a dent in fps. Now it's just horrific Fingers crossed this get's resolved!
