  1. Thanks so much Beldin ! I'll test all those files in the coming hours Also, in one of your first screenshots, there were F-8 Crusader parked on the deck. Even if these are only static aircraft, I'd love to park some of them on the deck of the Clemenceau Many thanks again for your excellent work !
  2. Thanks Beldin. Indeed, the location of the catapults on the French carriers forbids simultaneous landings and cats operations. So your plan is absolutely correct. As for the VSTOL aircraft, I had problems landing the Harrier on the L61 a while ago. It would land behind the end of the deck. But I didn't try again since long. Looking forward for your Mod, many thanks for your work
  3. Hi Beldin, you are right, the French and US Navy can now operate their aircraft on both carriers. As far as I know, the Rafale is the only foreign fighter authorised to do so. Specific trials and joint exercises see them operate off each other for limited periods of time. But their normal squadrons are such as I mentioned previously. Also, the F-18 was tested on the Charles de Gaulle long ago, and had some suporters in the French Navy, before the Rafale was chosen. Indeed, both Navies cooperate and practice regularly common procedures and training. Further, part of the French Navy candidates are sent to the US for their initial and on board pilot qualifications in a comprehensive cursus. Below are two screenshots showing my parking slots for the Clemenceau and Charles de Gaulle to free the landing area and avoid 'fooled deck' signals and unwanted wave-offs.... Looking forward to use your Mod. Thanks for your work
  4. Excellent ! Very impressive work. As you probably know, the only aircraft operating on the Clemenceau R98 carrier were the Etendard, Super Etendard, Crusader and Alizé aircraft. The only ones on the Charles de Gaulle R91 were the Super Etendard and Rafale, and are now the Rafale and Hawkeye. This might somehow simplify the aircraft lua files update process.... There are also in the DCS User Files archive some static mission templates for the US Navy carriers, for specific trap, launch, and mixed operations. Looking forward to your Mod. Thanks !
  5. Hi Beldin, very nice work you have done with the parking slots and the aircraft (I love that F-8 Crusader....). Will you share your files ? One question that was raised in this forum earlier is the availability of the parking slots when aircraft are landing on the deck. It has been mentioned that when they park after landing, they might be directed to free slots, but then interfere with the red painted safety line of the landing area. This triggers automatically wave-offs of all subsequent landing aircraft. Have you managed to deal with this ? Anyway, I'm looking forward to use your excellent work ! Thanks !....
  6. Hi, Yes, the Super Etendard has been shared by the Cuesta Bros as a playable Mod since long It's a very fun strike fighter to fly, with a nice payload, including the Exocet missile It's bundled with the Clemenceau aircraft carrier Have look here to download them : Many thanks again to the Cuesta Bros for their excellent work ! Enjoy !
Merci encore
  9. Hi All, I am running the last Open Beta DCS 2.8.1.34667 and have a problem with the HUD in the Rafale M, showing erroneously the hidden optics (see the screenshot below) Never had that problem before Any clue ? Thanks for your help
  10. Ok, I'll try that, thanks As I understand it, they fire torpedoes only when surfaced, is this correct ? thanks for your help
  11. Thanks Hawkeye, I'll try the Santa Fe Will be very interesting for naval warfare.... Any good news concerning the PTB ? Thanks.....
  12. Hi All, I have one simple question concerning the subs : which ones are supposed to be able to fire torpedoes, when defined as AI in the ME ? So far, I was unable to experiment that in my missions Thanks for your help
  13. Sorry, but I didn't find the 'S-300PMU2_30N6E2_TR_Mast.lua ' file to update it with the 'GT.sensor.height = 27.63' value Any pointer, please ? Many thanks...
  14. It's very useful to shift large volumes of Mods, terrains, and large folders to another HDD, if you are short on your main SSD space. It can be done quite easily using the WIndows 'mklink' command, which makes the folder appear to any program as if it was in its original place, but is in fact located elsewhere. This even works without problem when you are updating DCS to a new version. I've done that many times. All my terrains, except the one I currently use, and all my 'Saved Games' Mods are thus on my secondary HDD drive, thus saving at least 200 GB on my SSD drive.... Enjoy....
  15. Hi All, well, my main SSD drive is very small (256 GB, 190 GB used), and I shifted all my Mods to a secondary 1TB HDD (700 GB used), which is of course much slower, but at least, I have no problems with the superb Mods from Admiral, Currenthill and Dimitriov that I use on a daily basis It takes quite a bit of time to load the game and the various terrains and missions, but, well, it's worth it, isn't it ? They are expert Modders that have tremendously expanded the versatility and playability of DCS, and they deserve respect and consideration Their hard work and sharing is absolutely amazing Many thanks to them !.....
  16. Yes, indeed, the Artouste turbine of the Alouette helos has a typical very high-pitched and painfull noise... Fly low...
  17. Hi Dimitriov, OK, I get your point, and I agree that very accurate models and blueprints are required, of course. Thanks for all your Mods and for the fantastic work you are doing and sharing with all of us
  18. Hmmm, sounds very nice ! Thanks Dimitriov ! Concerning the Caesar, there is recent 3D STL model on https://cults3d.com/fr/modèle-3d/divers/canon-caesar-155mm-howitzer , payware at 16 euros. I'm ready to contribute. Still looking is there is a freeware model.
  19. Well, the Rafale Mod's flight model is somehow well under the performance specs of the real aircraft. For example, it's impossible with the Mod to make a 7 or 8 G turn or pull-up, which the real aircraft can do. But tweaking the flight model parameters is a really experienced Modder's task.... In contrast, the A-29 community Mod has those flight characteristics, for example, which seem a bit overperforming for a turboprop aircarft, in fact.... Any volunteer and expert for the superb Rafale Mod ? Fly low....
  20. Amazing pack ! As suggested previously, the only missing element is now a Caesar gun.... Fantastic Mod ! Thank you so much Dimitriov !
  21. Hi All, a screenshot to celebrate the decommissioning of the Alouette III, after 60 years in service in the French Navy !..... Thanks Damien for all your superb Mods ! Fly low..... Edit : a simple note to say that in all helos cockpits, the pilot is seated on the right seat, maybe for the next update ?... Thanks...
  22. Hi F-2, I guess the learning curve is very steep before DCS Modders can use that software, and also that it isn't free to use, unfortunately... Fly low....
