  1. It's very useful to shift large volumes of Mods, terrains, and large folders to another HDD, if you are short on your main SSD space. It can be done quite easily using the WIndows 'mklink' command, which makes the folder appear to any program as if it was in its original place, but is in fact located elsewhere. This even works without problem when you are updating DCS to a new version. I've done that many times. All my terrains, except the one I currently use, and all my 'Saved Games' Mods are thus on my secondary HDD drive, thus saving at least 200 GB on my SSD drive.... Enjoy....
  2. Hi All, well, my main SSD drive is very small (256 GB, 190 GB used), and I shifted all my Mods to a secondary 1TB HDD (700 GB used), which is of course much slower, but at least, I have no problems with the superb Mods from Admiral, Currenthill and Dimitriov that I use on a daily basis It takes quite a bit of time to load the game and the various terrains and missions, but, well, it's worth it, isn't it ? They are expert Modders that have tremendously expanded the versatility and playability of DCS, and they deserve respect and consideration Their hard work and sharing is absolutely amazing Many thanks to them !.....
  3. Yes, indeed, the Artouste turbine of the Alouette helos has a typical very high-pitched and painfull noise... Fly low...
  4. Hi Dimitriov, OK, I get your point, and I agree that very accurate models and blueprints are required, of course. Thanks for all your Mods and for the fantastic work you are doing and sharing with all of us
  5. Hmmm, sounds very nice ! Thanks Dimitriov ! Concerning the Caesar, there is recent 3D STL model on https://cults3d.com/fr/modèle-3d/divers/canon-caesar-155mm-howitzer , payware at 16 euros. I'm ready to contribute. Still looking is there is a freeware model.
  6. Well, the Rafale Mod's flight model is somehow well under the performance specs of the real aircraft. For example, it's impossible with the Mod to make a 7 or 8 G turn or pull-up, which the real aircraft can do. But tweaking the flight model parameters is a really experienced Modder's task.... In contrast, the A-29 community Mod has those flight characteristics, for example, which seem a bit overperforming for a turboprop aircarft, in fact.... Any volunteer and expert for the superb Rafale Mod ? Fly low....
  7. Amazing pack ! As suggested previously, the only missing element is now a Caesar gun.... Fantastic Mod ! Thank you so much Dimitriov !
  8. Hi All, a screenshot to celebrate the decommissioning of the Alouette III, after 60 years in service in the French Navy !..... Thanks Damien for all your superb Mods ! Fly low..... Edit : a simple note to say that in all helos cockpits, the pilot is seated on the right seat, maybe for the next update ?... Thanks...
  9. Hi F-2, I guess the learning curve is very steep before DCS Modders can use that software, and also that it isn't free to use, unfortunately... Fly low....
  10. Hi, can't find a way to have torpedoes fired... Your help is welcome...
  11. Hi Hawkeye, is this PTB available somewhere ? Thanks
  12. Thanks Currenthill, I'll check that Your Mods are amazing !....
  13. Hello, I may be wrong here, but various executions of my scenario missions raised the following question I have a SAM site which includes several LN103A and LN103B launchers. I also have two incoming bogeys flying at FL300 and 100 nm away. It seems to me that they are only targeted and fired at when they come close in at something like 15 nm, although the LN103A has a much greater range Am I wrong here or am'I missing something ? Should I avoid mixing LN103A and LN103B SAMs ? Your help is welcome, and many thanks for your amazing Mods
Merci d'avance. Fly low.... Did somebody test the Rafale F2 simulator mentioned in the last Patrick post ? Thanks. Fly low...
  16. The expert artist here is definitely Admiral189, whose amazing naval Mods for DCS are unprecedented contributions to its naval warfare aspects. My guess is that there are still more coming from the shipyard..... Many thanks Admiral !
  17. Hi, Sorry, I don't remember which Mods caused the texture problem. There was no fix, as far as I now. Fly low....
  18. Hi, the missile protruding problem has been mentioned recently. The solution is to add the following line to the ship's LUA file (without quotes): " GT.WS[ws].LN[1].show_external_missile = false;" I had the panel textures problem, but this was due to a Mod conflict. It is solved for me now. Thanks to Admiral for his superb Mods ! Enjoy.
  19. Hi Urbi, I'll try that. Thanks for your help Well, Currenthill, it might be a driver problem, because the ERROR message is raised by the DX11BACKEND ? Really amazing Swedish assets pack anyway, thanks Currenthill
  20. Hi Currenhill, as you advised me, I just set up a new mission with the strf9040 as the sole included Mod. Unfortunately, its tracks also appear all black (see screenshot below). Attached is the log for that mission. It contains the following error, which doesn't explicit at all any real reason after the: "Reason:".... "2022-11-01 06:58:13.406 ERROR DX11BACKEND (960): Failed to create shader resource view for /textures/cv90_new_track.dds. Reason: " I'm not at all an expert here, so I have no clue. I hoped it was due to a Mod conflict, but it doesn't seem to be the case. The tracks for all your other vehicles display fine, by the way. I use the last Openbeta 2.8.0 version. Thanks for your reactivity, for your help and for all your superb work ! dcs_log.zip
  21. Hello, it seems that I can't get the Lvkv9040 tracks color, which appear all black. See the screenshots below. A missing texture ? Besides, the AAA of the tank is very effective at shooting low flying aircraft ! Thanks for your help.
  22. Thanks Currenthill, well I thought I had set the Red Alarm ON, but it must be a bad mark on my log... And yes, you're right, I already moved the radars from their initial locations, but probably not enough to get them clear of obstructions (in fact, I wanted to still have them partly under cover among the trees...), but it seems that the Unde 23 radar rotates above the tree tops, thanks to its extending arms. Maybe not high enough, though ? I'll try again, anyway. Thanks for your help !
  23. Hi again Currenthill, thanks for your answer. The RED Alert option i suggest for the LV 103 is similar to that offered by the RBS 98. Concerning the low flying aircraft defeating the RBS 98, the Unde 23 STR and the Elde 98 LN are positioned as statics, and erected automatically, but very late (they have the EPLRS ON and RED alert option ON) : the aircraft are approx. within 5 nm, flying straight and fast at 560 ft above the sea. This said, they are all part of a larger scenario involving the Admiral Kasatonov fighting against pairs of Arleigh Burkes, D650 Aquitaine frigates, and Visby FACs.... But still, I have an AWACS (E2-D) flying over at 26.000 ft, with EPLRS switched on. Below is my mission, in the Marianas.... Very exciting Mods indeed, superb work ! Many thanks !
