  1. Hi patpat, well, I don't have these issues with the 2 Pantsir variants defending an airport against a wing including several F-4 attacking low (200 and 500 ft). They are all killed. The same goes when replacing the 2 Pantsir with the 3 Tor variants, simultaneously hitting all the F-4. And appearently, no missile self destruct. The only way to avoid being hit I have found was to have two different wings of several aircraft flying very low from very different locations apart. Some of them sometimes manage to save their lives... I'm using DCS last OB 2.8.2.35759 (not 2.8.3). Many thanks to Currenthill for his amazing work ! Enjoy !
  2. Hi, indeed, the human pilot Rafale M is not launched by the catapult, only the AI Rafale M is. Enjoy !
  3. Hi rato, these are old screenshots (DCS 2.7.x), and I like to have strong (more realistic ?) winds at sea, and large wakes for all ships. Now, you are right, I think ship movements are somehow unrealistic when winds are below 20-30 kts on sea surface. But that means more than 40 knots higher.... Also, modern warships are stabilized by active underwater fins on each side of the hull, so it's difficult to have significant roll movements. Enjoy !
  4. OK, thanks Currenthill for your very quick answer. And sorry for the mistakes on my side. I didn't catch the AWACS requirement, nor the minimum range constraint, although it's all AI fire in my mission. Also, I noticed that the 055 destroyer doesn't fire any missile at the incoming SM-6. Therefore dozens can be fired without being targeted The 055 forward CIWS aims at them, but don't fire. I guess the tracking of the almost vertical high speed final track of the SM-6 makes it very difficult to have any good impact point. Besides, I noticed that the HHQ-9 missiles of the 055 destroyer are extremely effective against Harpoons, which have no chance to get to the target. Well, all this is absolutely superb work and an amazing addictive playground, indeed ! Many thanks for your great work !
  5. As said a former rescue helo pilot in the Navy, that I met, and who is currently head of a Sécurité Civile platform, he asked sometimes himself in such situations what the hell was he doing here ?!?!...
  6. HHmmm... For those who like helos landing on the deck in rough seas, here are some screenshots of a NH90 (trying to) land on the deck of the Aquitaine... Old screens revival, but quite challenging situations... Hard work for the pilot... Enjoy...
  7. Hi Currenthill, thanks for the reply. I send you a PM. Superb work !
  8. Below are some screenshots showing the simultaneous firing of an Exocet and Aster-30 missiles by the Normandie. You can see the exhaust flames of the Exocet on the other side of the ship (3rd screen below). Also the firing of an Aster-15 with the booster detatching (screens 1 and 2). Enjoy !
  9. You are definitely right ! Confirming this, I noticed that the SM-6 of the modernized USS Ticonderoga are sometimes used against enemy ships with a very high miss ratio (approx. 1-20), in contrast with their very high kill ratio against air targets.
  10. Yes, it's nice to see the torpedoe tube when the hatch opens, and the torpedoe fired. I'll try to get a screenshot for that ! Thanks Admiral !
  11. Many thanks Currenthill ! Superb job !
  12. I'm using a standard hardware configuration including Intel i5 9400F, 28 GB RAM, GTX 1660 Ti, running Windows 10 Home Edition, which is very convenient for demanding DCS missions. Quite a basic one Below are some screenshots showing the Normandie firing IRDecoys agains Kh-41 anti-ship missiles, as well as Aster-15 and Aster-30 missiles. Also firing an Exocet missile, with the missile booster dropping into the water after launch, as mentioned by Admiral. Almost best of all, the Normandie also fires a torpedoe... but the wrong way, opposite to the target... Should be easy to correct Admiral ? As mentioned previously, I only use the 1.0.2 version of the Normandie which works very well for me. Not the last 1.0.3 update.
  13. Thanks Admiral for your dedication to the naval aspects in DCS ! And yes, I forgot to mention that I use a tower PC, running the standard Windows 10 Family Edition 2021 (22H2).
  14. As a sidenote, concerning the LPD Foudre, she has AA weapons : the Mistral very short-range AA missiles, mounted on twin launchers on each side of the ship's superstructure. They work for me.
  15. Well, you are right, but I currently use only Admiral's and Currenthill's Mods, with no other ship in my tech folder than the Normandie using the MASS countermeasures, as far as I can tell. No idea why it works for me...
  16. Hi All, as mentioned previously, the Normandie frigate works perffectly well for me with the MASS countermeasures ON. Nothing is commented out from the original Admiral's Mod. I'm using DCS OpenBeta 2.8.2.35759.
  17. Well, there are no WWII ships in this thread. But there exist specific threads in the User Forums for that, including Allied, Japenese and Axis ships threads. Enjoy !
  18. Indeed, very interesting sub. Thanks Sushy !
  19. Well, the only missing French surface ship now is the Forbin class destroyer, important for the CDG carrier escort ! Next will be the new oiler Jacques Chevalier, which is just undergoing sea trials now, and the new light frigates FDI class Amiral Ronac'h... Many thanks Admiral for your superb Mods !
  20. Thanks Currenthill, the 052D seemed indeed very difficult to hit, even with the modernized USN ships. Superb Mods, thanks !
  21. Hello Pappy, no, the LUA files are now located in the Database folder (as of DCS 2.8, I think). Look in its sub-folders called : Navy, Sensors and Weapons. This is a cleaner way to implement the data inside the software, I guess. All the needed files exist and the Mod works correctly. Enjoy !
  22. Hi All, the last Normandie frigate, which includes an Aquitaine livery, works fine for me, using DCS Open Beta 2.8.2.35759. If it does appear in the ME, but not in the mission when launched, it's probably a Mod conflict. Check the log for "ERROR" or "ALERT" messages to find out which one (well, the "ALERT" kills the game instantly...) The last update is Mod number 14 on the first page of this thread, uploaded on March 19, called "Aquitaine FREMM" v.1.0.1. Superb Mods, many thanks Admiral
  23. Sorry, this link doesn't work... Your help is appreciated, thanks
  24. Amazing ! Thanks Currenthill !
  25. OK, thanks for that Currenthill. Reading you, I discover the DCS limitation concerning the invulnerable surface to air missiles.... Many thanks for all your Mods !
