  1. Well, the question is answered. The pedals are in Colorado Springs already. (100 mi from me) Pretty fast service from being ordered on Tuesday. I wish I could say the same thing for the Warthog coming from BH Photo in New York. That package has been stuck in Indianapolis since Wed night. Pretty sad for 2 day shipping. When Fedex can ship a package from China faster than New York. They're screwing up pretty bad.
  2. I see the difference in the picture. However, I don't see a difference in game without VR. By default the brightness isn't turned up all the way. When I do turn it up it looks like it always has. Just as bright. I have to agree with BIGNEWY.
  3. Plinking off targets with the laser rockets makes it worth it alone. Head tracking makes it worth twice what they ask for it.
  4. From what I read. You get what you pay for. I'll stick to Tr5 but you're right. There are cheaper options if you don't have the money.
  5. He's probably low on cash. On another thread he asks about a 3D Pro joystick which I believe cost $35. Buying Tr5 or VR is out of the question.
  6. I wonder if this is somehow user error? I've used the Warthog since it was released and owned 6 of them. Never had any problems. I just bought another one two days ago and should get it today.
  7. The first VKB pedals I bought I found in a pilot store in the US. I couldn't do that this time and bought it from VKB direct. For those who bought from VKB. How long did it take to ship to you in the US? I'm in Colorado. I've never bought from China before. Thanks.
  8. Only the Hog has a man size gun and enough protection to use it.
  9. Have a look. https://www.trackir.com/trackir5/
  10. I just ordered VKB pedals again. I'll use them for the A-10C II and Hornet.
  11. That solves that decision. I run max video settings and I can't maintain 144fps. It hovers around 120fps but jumps around. I like the looks of it locked at 70fps because it never moves and looks just as good. Oh well. I play a hunting game and had it locked at 100fps. I changed it to 144fps and it easily holds it but I see no difference. I'll leave it at 144fps because I know it's loafing. It gets 220fps unlocked.
  12. I also came from a 1080 21" 60HZ monitor. The 1440 made a huge difference. I sit real close, so 27" is as big as I can go. I'll try 144fps and see if I can see a difference.
  13. I have an Asus VG27A, 2560x1440, 144-165Hz monitor. I lock it at 70fps. It looks really good and runs smooth. I just play in SP. Would I gain anything by running in 144fps?
  14. Keep an eye on vid card heat when running at unlocked fps. If I don't lock my fps my card runs at 100% and too hot for my comfort.
  15. I understand. Thanks for the info. However, when I made my statement of why do you need brakes on a chopper. I was thinking about in game. The OP had some questions about the VKB pedals not having brakes. When I owned the VKB pedals I flew a lot of planes and a simple button for brakes was fine. No good for WW2 planes. Not good for the Viper due to needing rudder steering when aero braking. There's more. So, for someone just flying choppers in DCS. Would a simple button press be good enough for brakes?
  16. Ok, thanks. I wanted to be sure if it's gone or not. Enjoy it.
  17. Did you buy it?
  18. Live and learn. Thanks.
  19. I was thinking of the OP. He doesn't fly any planes. Maybe i'm not paying attention but I can't remember seeing a chopper taxiing. They just take off from where they sit. Maybe not. I'll have to look around more now.
  20. I had some VKB pedals a few years ago. I liked them and i'm considering buying them again. I just used a button for brakes. Some planes brakes are important. I just fly the Hornet and brakes don't matter a lot.
  21. I have a silly question. I've never flown a chopper in game but wondering why would you need brakes?
  22. I've read the VKB rudder pedals are great for choppers.
  23. Depends on what planes you fly.
