I'm still confused why you only get 50% with the Hornet and we get the same in other planes. There must be an explanation. I'm curious what it is.

No, I didn't miss it. I'm familiar with the saturation setting from setting up the mini-stick slew switch. It feels best at 30-35. I'm just saying the saturation setting takes away the sensitivity. So, we agree on it. I'm surprised to see such a difference between my Warthog and your Virpil. Those who switch from the Warthog base to the Virpil WarBrd should look into the saturation setting to get the full advantage of the Virpil. I need to check the Warthog HOTAS for the A-10C and see how close it is for pitch and roll. EDIT....I checked the Warthog in the A-10C and it's perfect in pitch and roll. An exact match for full movement for HOTAS, stick in cockpit and control surfaces. I'm impressed they got it all perfect. I even checked the throttle and it's right on too.

All you've done by decreasing the saturation is limit the movement the elevator will have with your stick movement. It still moves the same amount. You could have accomplished the same thing by being more sensitive to your stick movement. An extension on the stick would do the same thing.

Yes, i've owned the VKB before and that's what I have in mind to get now. Any push-pull type pedals won't work for me now.

I never noticed this and had to go check. I get different results from you. I'm using a Warthog HOTAS right now. Pitch down I get about 60% stick movement when elevator is fully down. Pitch up I get 90% stick movement when elevator is fully up. Stick in cockpit is similar. However, you're right. Our HOTAS doesn't match elevator movement.

Can't get cheaper than my setup. Two end tables that I had doing nothing. One on each side of me and fly Viper style. Cost.....free.

The Viper uses pressure and not movement. I know that is high stick pressure. You've felt a Hog stick? It uses a long stick and should feel light until air pressure goes up. I've flown a real P-51 and it is light compared to the Warthog around center. My buddy owns the Mustang. Lucky dog.

Yes, i'm aware and posted it in this thread. I've bought two and i'm about to order another one. They really do make it feel much better. I don't use a desk for the HOTAS but have them at my side Viper style. Thanks for your help. btw...I still feel TM should lighten the spring. They're suppose to have the same tension on the buttons and switches as the real Hog. How about the stick too? No way can the real stick feel this stiff. The stock spring feels pretty good with a 10CM extension.

I just bought a new one and it has zero twist movement. Maybe it's something they fixed. They fixed the slew switch, so who knows?

Now, if they'd just lighten up on the spring we'd have a better HOTAS.

None of us like it but I won't give up on them. You won't find many players older than me.

WW is trying to simulate what a real stick feels like. I doubt you can get rid of it without modding it.

Yeah, but i'm getting old meanwhile. It's just a radio ED. You can do it. Throw the Hog Drivers a bone. Fighters get all the meat. We just want a bone.
