Avimimus Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 I love it! Turning around the T-62 cliché!
Legolasindar Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 If you say by tanks poster, not T-62, are surely Abrams or Leopards. Due to my limited English is what I understood, I apologize if I was confusing  [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Cavallers del Cel - Comunintat Catalana de Simulació http://www.cavallersdelcel.cat
Weta43 Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Urze, can you put that vid somewhere else ? I went to that site, decided not to look at it at that time, and when I went to quit, it locked up IE so much I had to hard re-set to get rid of it & I'm a bit iffy about going back there... Cheers.
leafer Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 IE? C'mon. GIt with the program... ;) No problem with Firefox or Opera. Firefox is still better after having tried Opera for about a week or so. ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

Avimimus Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 If you say by tanks poster, not T-62, are surely Abrams or Leopards. Due to my limited English is what I understood, I apologize if I was confusing  Your, English is very understandable (not sure about my English though)! I guess I should have been clearer. Anyway, I recognised the tanks as Abrams. For a long time the idea was widespread in the West that the T-62 if it got even slightly damaged would have an ammunition explosion that would send the turret flying high into the air. Despite the fact that it is unlikely to happen in real life, for many years most western sims have shown almost all of the enemy tank wrecks separated their turrets as a result of this "cliché". Now the Abram has its ammunition in the rear of the turret with special panels so that if it explodes the crew and vehicle remain largely unharmed - so the separated turret is even less likely. Hence I found it funny to see this same old stereotype biting back "at the heels of the Yanks" for once. Note: It would be "our heels" if they were Leopards, and I don't mean to not identify with my American allies its just that I am at about 92% identification instead of the 99% require to use the "our" or "I" phrase. This post is quite a bit longer than the original one sentence isn't it? I guess a picture contains a hundred words...
Dmut Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Your, English is very understandable (not sure about my English though)! I guess I should have been clearer. Anyway, I recognised the tanks as Abrams. For a long time the idea was widespread in the West that the T-62 if it got even slightly damaged would have an ammunition explosion that would send the turret flying high into the air. yes, it very unlikely to see M1 turret laying down near the hull, there are only few photos of such events available on internet. And that's why I don't like our old Black Shark leaflet. We are no longer use it in commercial. Now the Abram has its ammunition in the rear of the turret with special panels so that if it explodes the crew and vehicle remain largely unharmed - so the separated turret is even less likely. don't forget M1 still has a 6 to 8 shells stowed in the hull. "There are five dangerous faults which may affect a general: recklessness, which leads to destruction; cowardice, which leads to capture; a hasty temper, which can be provoked by insults; a delicacy of honor which is sensitive to shame; over-solicitude for his men, which exposes him to worry and trouble." urze Posted December 11, 2007 Author Posted December 11, 2007 Bump! Hello all you are out there ! I have a 'little' request to all of you how watched/downloaded/liked the video(s) from me. Let me first explain what I have in mind: I want to create on Stage6 a 'Channel' that is only dedicated to DCS/Blackschark and tweaks/tips how you can enjoy it even more when you have your hands on it. First of all : You can only create a channel if you have enough 'Karma' I know it from my own behaviour-I search-I download- and I don't say thank you or even give rep.... And you only get Karma if you give positive reputation after you watched/downloaded the Video.... So..., thats my point : Pleas give me 'Karma at Stage6 http://www.stage6.com/user/urze/videos/ Ad I will guarantee that I will keep this channel 'up to date' and you could watch all DCS/BlackShark related videos on demand in High quality. Instead of watching coloured Tetris on Youtube or whatever in 320x240 while sitting in front of a 1680x1050 screen . And again:I know it from my own behaviour-I search-I download- and I don't say thank you or even give rep.... But please change it this time! (I have 3 videos on Stage6- 1593 watched them- and 9 people gave me some 'Karma' - So if they are really so bad tell it to me!11-12-07) Than you could be aware that you only have to check my channel (similar to http://www.virtual-jabog32.de if I search for a LockOn flick) and you will know if there are new Videos that are DCS related or if there are new tips and tweaks to them ( you can upload up to 2 GB on Stage6- the resolution doesn't matters) -Instead of searching 6 different forums and writing 8 post to get your info that your are searching for.:) Thanks in Advance!
