Mustang Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 (edited) Oh, this will please some no doubt (from release notes) "Enabling hardware shaders (perfect mode) no longer causes text and on-screen menu corruption while loading missions in "IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946" game" Anyways, took this driver for a test fly in FC2.0 not long ago, they seem fine, i was a bit concerned as i had that runtime error issue not long ago, but i'm happy to say that it's all good :) Edited May 26, 2010 by Mustang
Erdem Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 "Enabling hardware shaders (perfect mode) no longer causes text and on-screen menu corruption while loading missions in "IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946" game" Finally. I stopped playing IL-2 because of that. It was so annoying.
Ramstein Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 I fired up my flight sims, so far all seems well with the ATI Cat 10.5 :joystick: ASUS Strix Z790-H, i9-13900, WartHog HOTAS and MFG Crosswind G.Skill 64 GB Ram, 2TB SSD EVGA Nvidia RTX 2080-TI (trying to hang on for a bit longer) 55" Sony OLED TV, Oculus VR
PedroTheGoat Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 (edited) I just wish default VSync would start working without the use of D3D Overrider. D3D causes an odd 1 second stutter on my ATI 5830. But without it I get some nasty screen tearing. It's a tradeoff for this goat. Edit: THE 10.5 drivers fixed D3D stuttering issue!!! I am SO freaking happy right now!!! Fahhh Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 10.5 worked fine for me in FC2. However in Battlefield 2: BC, I got crashes everytime I tried to play for more than 5-6 minutes. No error messages, just crash-to-desktop. The driver was the only thing I changed, and I did it properly, removing the old one, cleaning with dh driver cleaner, and a clean install of the official 10.5. Everything got fixed when I reverted back to Catalyst 10.4a...

Sel94 Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 What is the procedure for updating a driver. I have no idea.
Mustang Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 What is the procedure for updating a driver. I have no idea. If you're inexperienced with updating drivers/using beta drivers, i'd say steer clear of this driver and use what you already have for now.
Sel94 Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 (edited) O.K. cause I'm currently in the middle of doing everything I can to make games run better because the stuff in my computer isn't good. :[ Edited June 9, 2010 by Sel94
