part details for the small plastic caps on the Master Arm & Laser Arm switches?

Ah, that's a qood one. I'm desperately trying to get more of them myself. They are plastic plugs from an ordinary voltage meter. They protect the probe connections (holes in the device) when there is no probe connected. Nobody ever uses them, so they should be lying around carages all over the place. They fit the switch pole like a glove and feel and look very nice. Most of you probably own a pair. But you can't buy them anywhere.

HAHA - great use! As soon as I saw them, I thought - FANTASTIC. I'll have to keep an eye out. Maybe use casting resin to make them?

Paint them metallic and you'd probably get a bad imitation of a locking switch. Looks the part, kind of, but you couldn't pull it when you switch. I might try to paint them one day too see how they look but I don't have that kind of paint at hand.

You don't have to install any software. The MFDs (and the Warthog) are Plug and Play.

This is great news! SimHQ talked about how software had to be installed but maybe they tested on XP. Thanks fellows. Now all I need is for the damned things to ship from Amazon.

Both the Cougar MFDs and the Warthog should be recognized by default as DirectInput game controllers (even under XP). DCS: A-10C will set them up correctly by default. Customization software (TARGET) only needs to be loaded if you want custom keypresses, modes or shift functionality.

Hi Mastiff, thanks for your quick reply!!!

The sumulator recognice the MFD TM cougars, but the button setup is totally messed up and I have no clue how to set them up correctly since in the option menu in the simulator are no functions according the MFD´s from the aircraft (A10C) like OSB1 and so on! The first time I pluged the MFD´s everything was setup correctly without doing anything manually!:S

This whole plug and play thing for the hog is nice and all... but what if I want to customize that? I don't want to install TARGET just for the MFDs... but I'd like to change some assignments, which I can't because everything except the L/R-MFD-Buttons are greyed out. Is there any solution?

Check to make sure they are not plugged into a USB 3.0 port. I read somewhere that they do not work well in 3.0 ports and you should use 2.0 ports.

Hi all

After trying some different ways to sort out my MFD cougar problems I find

the Lock on and FC2 don't work either (common dll missing from you computer). Try to run in compatible mode and they said this program is not compatible . So I reinstall the windows 8 back again and all work normal again .I know there is a lot of download to-do but solve the problem.

Thanks everyone for the advices.:)

If I am only wanting to use the Thrustmaster Cougar MFDs as a lighted prop, can it safely be plugged ingot a powered USB hub, not attached to a computer?
