Just purchased A10C and now get this error message?

Recommended Posts

I just bought the game and already I have run into problems with the message below? Surely they should make this alot more clearer about the install because it puts you of even bothering with the sim. I just installed the latest Module as far as I'm concerned because I don't see A10C 1.2.4.12547 installer in the module section. So what is wrong here, or more to the point where is the latest module installer? Thankyou!!

Cannot install A-10C 1.2.4.12179 into DCS World 1.2.412547. Please download A10C 1.2.4.12547 installer.

the latest version for world (the main) is 1.2.4.12179_180

the latest version for A-10C is A-10C_1.2.4.12179_180

you should get them both.

I updated world only recently from 1.2.4.12179_180 to DCS World 1.2.412547. So I don't believe it is still 1.2.4.12179_180. So are you saying that DCS world 1.2.412547 is an older version to 1.2.4.12179_180? Because that doesn't sound right to me.

If DCS World is version 1.2.4.12179.180 then all modules have to carry the same number for it to work.

Same goes for DCS World 1.2.4.12547. If that is the version you have installed, all modules would need to carry that version number in order to install. So in order to make A-10C work, you just need the 1.2.4.12547 module.

It's that simple... but...

Version on the website are still the previous ones. I guess that you downloaded the version on the website, ran it which made it update itself to 1.2.4.12547. If you only then downloaded the A-10C you have a problem because the offered file is still that of the previous version (come on ED, time to update the website, THINK ABOUT YOUR COSTUMERS, THEY ARE THE ONES THAT BRING IN THE MONEY !!!!). I don't know if the module manager is the correct way to get the correct file if it is not previously installed because i points to the website to...

Your only option at this point is to download DCS World and A-10C version 1.2.4.12179.180, install both (this will work) and then let everything update itself to 1.2.412547. Make sure you don't run DCS World before you install the A-10C module because otherwise DCS World will update itself again to 1.2.4.12547 before you install A-10C and you will face the same problem.

@Dudester22

Download and install the currently available DCS Version (Patch Version DCS_World_1.2.4.12179_180-4.bin)

Download and install the currently available Modules you purchased (as for the A-10C follow this link)

After you installed DCS and your desired Modules, force Autoupdater to run (or simply run the Software), the updater will lift DCS World and your Modules to the latest Version, which is 1.2.4.12547

Sounds like he installed DCS World, started the game that unintentionally updated, and then tried to install the module. Then this is not really his fault.

Unfortunately the only way is to deinstall world 1.2.4.12547 and afterwards do as MemphisBelle explained in the post above...

That's why i said ED should update their website. 1.2.4.12547 is almost out a week now. There are some serious flaws in their organisation, service (tickets) wise and website update wise. And this will bring even more tickets up and more posts like this...

I have the same problem like Dudester22, with the tiny difference that I had Ka-50 Black Shark 2 installed and was automatically updated and with it BS 2 too. Repeating the whole procedure means uninstalling BS 2 too. I'm surely not going that way! It would be simpler for me to wait a little bit until DCS works out those flows.

The question remains how long is it going to take them until they'll make the update with A-10C 1.2.4.12547?
