=Pedro= Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Is it possible to activate that option on 104th Phoenix server to be able to use TackView - i see no reason to keep it disable. I know most of the users and their tactics too so it would be nice addition to what we have now :) Gigabyte Z390 Gaming X | i7 9700K@5.0GHz | Asus TUF OC RTX 4090 | 32GB DDR4@3200MHz | HP Reverb G2 | TrackIR 5 | TM Warthog HOTAS | MFG Croswinds
sobek Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 They probably have it disabled so people can't use it to cheat. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
EchoMasterMind Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 It's a shame. I usually get absolutely destroyed when fighting Air-to-air online, and I have no idea how to learn from my mistakes because I often don't know what I did wrong, or what the enemy did to counter my moves and so on. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
RIPTIDE Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Replay the track with Tacview installed correctly on your own machine. If you go to the graphics.lua file also, and turn off render and set FPS limit to something really low (like 10) you can very easily replay a track at x10 speed or more, make your DCS non-fullscreen at a really low resolution and have it replaying in the background on your computer. Just don't forget to change it back to normal before you start a flight. lol 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I will check that as soon as finish work today ;) Correct me if im wrong tho :) Gigabyte Z390 Gaming X | i7 9700K@5.0GHz | Asus TUF OC RTX 4090 | 32GB DDR4@3200MHz | HP Reverb G2 | TrackIR 5 | TM Warthog HOTAS | MFG Croswinds

Everytime you fly multiplayer a track is saved in savedgames/dcs/tracks/multiplayer, open with the replay function in DCS single player, run at x10 speed this will create a tacview file for you. MacEwan Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Awesome, thank you guys. I'm also fairly new to A2A combat and have been trying to review my many defeats in multiplayer but had the same issues as the OP. Now I can finally study what went wrong and why. Thanks again !!!

Wasn't here somewhere an utility that did this, and then when the track ended it reverted to the original settings? Or am I imagining things? Surely there is a way to call dcs.exe so it starts a track passed by parameter, at least that's what the GUI is doing when you want to replay a track. Question is how exactly... and if the track can start right away instead of paused... Actually, this last bit (and the 10x speedup) could be automated by something like autohotkey... hmm time to do some research.

Yes there were a couple of tools for FC2 that would auto add externals, labels, run the track create a tacview then change your settings back. All this could be done and more by simply dragging the track file into a batch file. "[51☭] FROSTIE" #55 'Red 5'.
