Pilot line of sight.

The pilots seating position in the Spitfire is way too high since the last update on the open beta (2.5.5.36986).

I'm not sure if it is the same on a 2D monitor as I only fly in VR but currently you can only see the bottom half of the reflector sight when in the default seating position.

Not sure if this is another bug but the first Spitfire I spawned in on the AO server as soon as I started taxying the U/C folded up. The same happened to another user. Once I re-spawned and tried again it was fine.

System :-

I can confirm this bug as well since the last update. Multiple computers with the same issue. Recentrering the VR leaves the pilots head about 6" to high.

Am tying to find the manual key control for lowering the centre position. Anyone know what it is?

This is the default position in 2d all good…

and this is the position in VR (the image angle is not ideal)

when I adjust the head position down to correct, the "head" is too low into the body, I suspect your pilot is too tall :)

if you delete the snapviews.lua file from saved games and recreate it

under the spitfire you find:

[13] = {--default view

viewAngle = 80.000000,--FOV

hAngle = 0.000000,

vAngle = 0.000000,

x_trans = 0.075000,

y_trans = 0.000000,

z_trans = 0.000000,

rollAngle = 0.000000,

cockpit_version = 0,

},

[14] = {--default view - VR

viewAngle = 80.300293,--FOV

y_trans = -0.008238,

z_trans = 0.006034,

rollAngle = -2.104562,

under the clipped wing version you find

hAngle = 0.000000,

vAngle = 0.000000,

z_trans = 0.000000,

rollAngle = 0.000000,

cockpit_version = 0,

copying and pasting the spitfire CW numbers over the spitfire numbers fixes the issue of view point, or frankly just the default view of the spitfire to the VR default also fixes it.

this is a bug.

there are also a number of other views that are inconsistent between the default and VR view the a-10c for example, where the default view is different from the default vr view.
