fa18_simpit.ino I noticed theres not a lot of info pertaining to planning the circuits and building the code with "Arduino" and "DCS bios " or maybe its buried in the archives so I'll leave this here. This is my attempt to future proof my starting point on my flight panel build, in an attempt to use as little storage and pins as possible. you'll see I'm using a clunky but simple method to combine DCS bios global variables with ad-mux-library channels and also kept the loop as short as possible to maintain a high refresh rate as the build goes on that will likely change. I have yet to verify this even works as I am waiting for supplies and wanted a starting point with the code to familiarize with and test as i build. any ways let me know what you guys think

In the newest version of the official ED manual, the MIDS DDI format was added with a text saying that "This format will be documented in a later edition of this manual." This seems to be a new addition, earlier versions of the manual didn't mention this page at all. Does this mean that ED are planning on implementing in depth MIDS configuration options and this DDI page or is the addition to the manual only refer to the fact that the functions on the page (which as far as I know currently have no functional effects and are only for roleplaying purposes) will be detailed later on?

Hello F/A-18 pilots and LUA programmers, Using the provided display preset to export the left and right DDI's on the same monitor. I can use those because of my ultrawide. The DDI's are not readable without a background. i managed to add a mesh to the DDI's but i cant get them to be fully opaque. This is the code used in MPD_BASE.lua. the colour of the material is for debug purposes. The goal is to get the yellow square to be fully opaque so i can make it black and use it as the background. Thanks for the help in advanced, NCC1701JR MPD_base.lua

My setup: i7-2600K 16 GB RAM AMD R9 290 OpenTrack With my current game/system settings, I'm getting anywhere from 30-70 FPS in the Hornet in Syria map with Free Flight or light training missions. It'll sometimes dip below 30 when flying near populated areas. I'm interested in getting the Thrustmaster Cougar MFD button panels to slap on a second smaller (11" 1920x1080?) monitor and exporting 2 DDIs to the second screen. Given my setup, what kind of framerate hit should I expect to take? While researching this, I also found some reports that TrackIR users were experiencing significant stuttering and head-tracking input lag when exporting MFDs to a second screen. Is this something specific to certain graphics cards and/or TrackIR's software? Or just head-tracking in general, including OpenTrack? I'd love to get a working MFD controller setup going but not at the cost of consistent head tracking or horrible frame rates. Any advice or user reports would be huge. Thanks and Merry Christmas!
