AFAlinebacker42 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Ladies and gentlemen - On Sunday, 23 February 2014, the Hardcore Gaming Clan will be hosting its second formation flight training fundamentals class. We will have a guest instructor from the Virtual Patriots L-39 aerobatic demonstration team. Currently the class is scheduled for 6PM GMT. The class will be live streamed on twitch for those who are unable to attend. For those interested in participating, please respond by Sunday the 16th with your attendance. Special aircraft accommodations may be considered on an individual basis, but we require to know how many A-10C pilots to provide aircraft to, and how many will need hot-start vs. cold start aircraft. Training will originate from Tiblisi on the map. We will provide a navigation course and would prefer to divide up into flights of two, so that individual groups or friends may go off and practice formation fundamentals after the lecture. Any advanced questions may be posted here as well. To sign up, please simply respond to this thread stating that you are interested and intend to show up. Thank you for your interest, and keep the shiny side up! :pilotfly: V/R, linebacker 1
MadCow Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I'm interested in attending, but I currently can't make a guarantee. That's my moving weekend unfortunately. Mark me as a tentative cold start, and I'll pm you personally as the date is closer and I know more.
Glamdring Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) I would be interested in this. Is there a minimum skill level required? lol. Stick me down for a cold start in the A-10C :) *edit* Not going to be able to make this now. PM sent. Edited February 11, 2014 by Glamdring
ApoNOOB Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I want to be in on this, A-10C Cold start. :) Can't promise that I will make it but will def. try my best! Apo
COLTROGUE Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 In. Hot. MMmmMMmmmmmm... Seriously though, cold start.
Nealius Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Would kill for good framerates and a free Sunday so I could get in on this. BTW, what's the difference between a warm and a hot start? Obviously cold start is where everything is off...
Tartan_Piper Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 This sounds great. A-10C, cold start please. Cheers Tartan. [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic4896_2.gif[/sIGPIC]
Thumper_388th Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 That sounds wonderful! Probably one of my weakest skills in a boatload of weak skills! A cold hog is fine with me, as is a toasty warm one if that is better for the hosts.

Glamdring Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 I think with the broad range of people of differing abilities just TS on it's own would be best, no?

Nealius Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Oh great I get to be the special snowflake. I don't want to mess things up for everyone else. I could make 1900Z but that might be cutting it close (i.e. don't wait for me if I'm late ;) ). Any time limit on the ramp start? Usually takes me about 8~9 minutes...I have no clue what's considered "normal"....
AFAlinebacker42 Posted February 12, 2014 Author Posted February 12, 2014 Update, we'll be starting ops at 7PM GMT for snowflake. "Normal" ramp start is 4 minutes. In the time that your INS is aligning you can start setting everything else up. 10 minutes to start should be okay, since we will be talking, briefing and instructing to begin with. SGAT, we'll try to find a way to get you an A-10C with 12 AIM-120's.
Nealius Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 God I hope DST doesn't kick in...that really FUBARs me with GMT...I think I'm -5 now. I could probably get 4 minutes if I start the IFFCC BIT early enough...I usually wait for INS to hit 3.0.0 per 476th checklist.
