=Mac=
So far as I can tell, I can cold start (start from ramp). Don't know how to set up the radios but I do TS well. I would love to join if you'll have me. 1800Z 23FEB14 is a little after noon for me on a Sunday. The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail... AFAlinebacker42
...I usually wait for INS to hit 3.0.0 per 476th checklist. Im curious, how did they construct their checklist?
ENO
According to revision 8 all that's mentioned is "after EGI INS alignment is complete" which I can only assume would be after the requisite 4 minutes. http://www.476vfightergroup.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=29 Phenomenal checklist by the way, for those of you who are looking for what is likely the most complete available. Nealius
32. IFFCC preflight BIT - Check (3 minutes minimum after starting EGI alignment). I usually follow that and the BIT finishes about a minute after my EGI does. I usually load DTC during EGI align to save time, and wait for alignment to complete before checking/inputting data in the CDU (last time I set data before align it was reset after align completed and I had to do it over again anyway, but I haven't checked since 1.2.7). Snoopy
Im curious, how did they construct their checklist? The checklist is based on what is applicable to the A-10C in DCS from the real world 1A-10C-1CL-1. There are other goodies in USAF AFI's that can be learned here, and I highly recommend training to these standards when able. We will start off with an overview of the basic maintaining of ones position relative to another aircraft. Following, we will demonstrate and execute a multiple two-ship section take-off. Two-ship pairs of A-10's will then proceed along flight plan and swap roles as flight lead and wingman. We will finish up with 4-ship formation, introducing elements. Formation maneuvers will be taught, and we will cover any questions you have along the way.
