uboats Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 (edited) I would like to buy a CH Pro throttle usb and find there are 3 mode indicator lights. I looked at the throttle pic, but did not find the mode switch mode button. Since the throttle and the joystick are sold seperately, and in the offical website, it says the throttle has switch mode button. If not, I will not buy it since the button mapping is limited. So could anyone tell me which is the mode switch button on Pro throttle? thanks Edited February 17, 2014 by uboats [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My DCS Mods, Skins, Utilities and Scripts | Windows 10 | i7-4790K | GTX 980Ti Hybrid | 32GB RAM | 3TB SSD | | TM Warthog Stick | CH Pro Throttle + Pro Pedal | TIR5 Pro | TM MFD Cougar | Gun Camera: PrtScn |

So the mode switch mode is just on the joystick, I see the red button on the top right side. I just want a throttle, since I have t16000m which I believe is more accurate than ch joystick. If w/o using control manager, is there any button on the throttle that is not able to mapped in the DCS software? IvanK Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 The Mode switch can be on either the throttle or the stick. If you have both units you need to define What button on what device is used for mode switching.

So if I directly map the button in DCS, so I can use all the buttons on throttle and there will not be mode switch button? What I'm curious is that x52 has a fixed switch button on the joystick while not on the throttle. So if the CH throttle does not have the button, then I can use all the buttons directly in DCS. PureEvil Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 The Mode switch can be on either the throttle or the stick. If you have both units you need to define What button on what device is used for mode switching. correct, IF you have combined devices in CH manager. if not, then each device will have it's own mode selector. also, when programming devices via CH software, it can have (if you wish so) 4 modes instead of 3, but lights on the base won't show it right, just need to remember what mod you're in. PureEvil Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 So if the CH throttle does not have the button, then I can use all the buttons directly in DCS. you have to use CH manager if you want to have 3/4 modes. if you want to assign buttons directly in dcs, then you'll have to use modifier (which require button on it's own). SkateZilla Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Mode switch on the Throttle is the Ministick, press it in. You can program CH Changer to have modes separate for Throttle and Stick. So Mode Green will be one mode, Button press or had switch would = specific KB Commands, yellow mode a separate set of commands, Red mode a third set of commands, etc. Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
531-Ghost Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 (edited) hmm, unfortunately i ended up using the pro throttle circuit board in to the SunCom F15 throttle.. but i thought the mode switch was one of the three buttons on the grip of the pro throttle.. :/ I too used the PT PCB. The button under the mini-joystick is button 1 I wired it to the red round button on the left throttle. I used the X and Y axis of the mini-joystick as my left and right throttle using CH Products Throttle Quadrant POTs attached to the throttle levers. Using the PT PCB and the Suncom Throttles will leave you short one button but I''ll manage. Edited February 19, 2014 by 531-Ghost Add Pictures. :joystick:
