Universal Radio is a first step to integrate Radio inside LotAtc. Moreover it is a project by a member of my squad, that is why I implemented it first. The LotAtc radio mechanism can managed severals kind of radio, so no problem for me to add another (if it is possible by the radio of course).

 

I have already planned to see with Aries guys how we could connect their radio and LotAtc.

Hi DArt, I really appreciate the drawing feature and have two positions on the wishlist if possible:

 

- Scaling of the text. We use the text to describe areas, flight level limitations over areas, training ranges, CRP points, etc... when you zoom out , all of the text get's cluttered. Would it be possible to scale the text together with zooming, or make it appear only after a certain zoom in ?

 

- I have several drawings sets saved in .json files. As far as I know if you load a new drawing the old one vanishes. Would it be possible to have an option to just keep adding new drawings to the existing ones ? It would be even better if you could load multiple drawings from a file and then turn them on/off from a check list, just like you can do with range circles. That would be just fantastic.

 

This is just wishful thinking on my side, thanks for your work.

Yes it can be done, I will add this feature on my todo list.

Affirmative, I will add it on todo list too. Drawing is part is a young part in LotAtc, so any idea on how to use it is welcome!

Awesome! We just started "playing" around with LotAtc in the 476th and even with some of the current bugs enjoying it.

Thanks DArt for considering this. Can I be a pain and ask if handling dynamic weather - like receiving weather for a particular station/airfield can be done ? Or maybe it is beyond the limits of the DCS World API ?

I would so be able to have this information, but you are right, from now, I cannot get dynamic weather from DCS... I hope that it could be possible in the future! :music_whistling:

Hey DArt, we noticed that after our server was running for a few days, LotATC seemed to stop working. We can still connect, but we're not getting all of the data. Is this a known issue? Our server tends to run for a few weeks at a time with a single miz.

Btw, if it helps, so that you can see what we are experiencing, I can ask our command members for permission to let you connect to our LotATC instance so you can observe what we're seeing. If we restart the mission, it is fine. But after a few days, we pretty much only get airport data.

Sorry to bear the bad news, our production server crashed in the same manner as since b7 within 5 minutes on beta 9. I didn't get this on my own server, we couldn't get logs as it was an official event and had to get it restarted quickly. There's definitely a difference between server use as if you test without connected players you don;t seem to have the issue. Will try to get logs, but it means we have to put up one of the largest EU servers knowing it's going to crash and annoy people. :(

Ok, Thx for reporting, I am confident to find this bug, but well, it could take time :)

 

I will concentrate my search and tests on player routines. Without players, I have some 5h of intensive run without problems... Certainly due to player, I am agree with you. I return to my code...:book:

Managed to reproduce in proper testing with just one player, the DCS log gives the same error message, it broke within 5 minutes, working with the server Admin to wrap up the logs to email to you.

 

Very nice, if you have something reproductible!

 

The best would be to send me the *.miz file with your workflow (when you connect with LotAtc, which coalition...).

 

If I can get this crash I could fix it :)

Pikey, can you tell me what you did to crash the server? We have missions coming up and may wish to revert or see a way around the issue.

Absolutely nothing except playing. It just does after some time. There's some question on what the difference is between ones that don't crash and ours, TAW dedicated server has been up and running for a few months now and we don't think there's anything different going on with ours than anyone elses. Just take all the information you can and share please :)

From now, It is a bug that happens on several configuration, I have difficulties to reproduce it. But, I always working on that. It will be fixed for sure, just take me some time, how many? do not know yet :)

 

Once fixed, the road will be cleared for a final release.

 

Again, thanks all for the logs/reports, it helps me. :)

We're talking about the freezing of LotATC bug right?

 

We have a training session tonight so I'll go and ask if logging is enabled for LOTATC so we can forward files in case of freeze.
