Revan Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Apparently, you can buy your own decomissioned nuclear missile silo (here in the USA) as long as it was built before 1965. This is the link to a real estate website that specializes in selling silos http://www.missilebases.com/properties anyone feel like giving me $260,000? DCS: F-4E really needs to be a thing!!!!!! cichlidfan Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) Oh, wow, I want this. :D The Atlas E “coffin style” structure is the best missile site type for retrofit use. This site has 15,000 sq. ft of hardened underground floor space So, I can't lend you the quarter mil. Did you look at the detail pictures of the first one on the page. No wonder it costs so much. That looks like an awesome house even without the runway. Boberro Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 This is good, some people build hardened underground facilities capable to support living up to 1 year. If I had had big farm I'd have built similar structure my own. These are uncertain times. Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ

Supersheep Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 The one silo on Nike MB, Maine, looks interesting. But does it lack the deep underground structures? Seeking investment for 50% ownership rights Doesn't that kind of defeat the spirit of "My home is my castle"!? I need one for my mother in law! And who'd be on the inside, then? Both ways have advantages and disadvantages :) The PVC Pipe Joystick Stand How to thread
