Can't people give devs a rest?

Let them finish their current projects or let them ask you what aircraft you want to see. This yelling aircraft types left and right takes no one anywhere.

You mean like communicate with us about the progress of 3/4 of their modules, like PilotMi8 did yesterday and the day before? ;)

UH1W? You mean UH1N or AH1W? I'm thoroughly confused...

If it helps you, UH-1W doesn't exists.

So that's why they aren't going to make it ;)

Yep, my bad, an AH-1W would be nice , but I was hoping for the UH-1Y , Venom . :megalol:

I was not asking for it specifically as much as , if you read my original question, I said, "Has it been addressed ?" . The answer seem to be "no". Which could of been given without the snarky commentary .

ANGST you had a legit question and it deserved a legit straight forward answer from a developer. That is one of the concepts behind forums. Unfortunately the forum has been plagued with simple half witted fanboys since its inception.

I personally refrain from asking questions. Even relevant questions regarding development will be met with snark before you have any hope in hell of getting a straight answer. I tried getting an answer to the method of attaching animations to a model since I have in past created mods for other sims but an answer was not to be had on the forum. Not worth the trouble. There is now a fairly good chance someone will "flame" me for shooting you straight mate.

There are plenty of people on the forums that will bend over backwards to help you if they can.

That being said, the developers at Belsimtek either don't read the forums, or they do and purposefully decided not to answer this question.

Either way, whether or not it "deserves" a response is wholly subjective and the only relevant opinion is Belsimtek's (as an organization).

To answer the OP: No, the UH-1Y has not been addressed, at least not to "the public". Belsimtek has not come out with a list of aircraft types/models that they considered but have chosen not to pursue, nor have they produced a list of aircraft that they have not yet considered. All we have to go on is the list of their upcoming products, which does not include the UH-1Y.

So, you are saying, you don't like these forums and this community because the DEVs don't offer you a 24/7 hotline?

I think a mi 24 is better(of course everyone have their opinion) it would match together with a mi 8. The mi 24 was mostly made for working together with the mi 8 and we will son have the AH-1g that was made to work with the UH-1H. Yes we have the KA 50 but it is more a stealth heli that stays in the backround. Mi 24 gets real dirty an flies right in the action with the mi 8 :) just my opinion tho

Wasn't it semi announced that an Mi-24 was due to be developed a bit back? Did they mention who would?

I think so. Here are some photos of the gunner seathttp://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1746117&postcount=16 also some on Ah 64, F-16 and A 10A

Yeah, but much more recent. I'll see if I can find it.

Mentioned that it's under development in this film:

Think it was mentioned from official sources later as well.

I personally was just hoping for an answer , which I got, did not have to be a dev :smilewink:

A Hind would be cool well . Now if we can just get EDGE and some theaters we'd be in business

Did I say 24 hour hotline? I guess you have a hard time reading so you infer what you like. Let me spell it out for you.

A forum is designed to allow for communication. Communication on the part of Belsimtek is non existent when it comes to their own products and I think that is woeful. If they only answered questions once a month, i could live with that, but never, that is a bit uncool when there are plenty of developers out there that give feedback on their forums.

Does belsimtek have their own forum I am unaware of. Maybe dont be so quick to infer meaning where there is none.

BST did a great job of making the first multi crew flyable for DCS and the gunner AI, piloting and seat switching work well in the DCS environment. Since Black Shark was released people were always speculating how multicrew was going to be implemented, and now it is, we all love using it :)personally can't wait to see the next BST module but I highly doubt it will be a venom because it's to similar to the huey.

You seem to see these forums primarily as tool for communication between you, as customer, and the devs. This I find odd. In my eyes, these forums are meant for exchanging thoughts, ideas and whatnot between members of the community (Flightsimmers, DCS fans, however you may call it). This includes ofc the devs, too. And yes, I agree that the devs should be prominently present on the forums, especially on "their" sub-forums. And yes, I also agree, that i.e. BST lacks in this regard quite a bit.

But to treat these forums solely as "customer support forum" while in the very same moment neglecting the rest of the community ... then it surprises me not that you were confronted with snarky remarks of "simple half witted fanboys".
