So sorry if this is against the rules, (Ill delete it) its just that all the falcon 4 AF forums are pretty slow.

How do you do the training missions? When I load them, they put me in an f16 with a laser guided bomb and expect me to do everything myself. No tracks, no voice over, no text to explain it. Thx in advance :)

You'll have to read the manual. ;) Not sure about F4:AF, but the original Falcon came with a kick-ass printed manual that walked you through the steps of each training mission. I'm still using the original F4, with 1.08, SP4.2, and BMS2.0 applied. I imagine F4:AF has gone the route of most other sims and all the docs are on the CD.

yep...the pdf manual is on the cd...which is a shame because you can't look at it unless you have it printed out or alt-tab everytime.... This is where Lock On tutorial beats it.

Best way to do it that i found, is to obviously read it each section before you do it. Then if you can find an old laptop or similar to sit next to you with the manual open. This is what i did and it work well.

Cheers

How I learned was I printed out just the pages of interest and read them when I had time. After learning NAV I moved onto A/G with dumb bombs CCIP,CCRP and DTOS. Then A/A, following this I read the RP5 manual to make it even better.

Firstly select Balkans Battlefield then select the Laser Guided Bombs trainning mission.

Now select A/G master mode(button under the HUD)

Next in the left MFD you will see A/G radar display, click the button under FCR. Now a new page will appear click TGP(Targetting pod)

Make sure Master Arm is on and Laser is Armed(both indicated by the arrows on the left side) GBU should also appear in the right MFD(as indicated by the right arrow.

Now lock the TDC onto the ground to ground stabilise(push 0 on num pad then push . on num pad) now slew the TDC onto the target and push 0 again. An L symbol should appear in the left MFD indicating laser designating. Press the pickle button on your stick and hold. If a circle appears on the HUD just ignore it as thats for lofting LGBs:cool: .

Note if you click the button above WIDE on the left MFD it will zoom in for a closer look. Also if you LOFT the GBU always make sure you bank right to continue lasing the target.(turning left blocks the pod from the target)

Hope your the boss at work or know him real well. Most places I've worked you'd get canned if you did that. :D

I had a manual for the ATR 72-500 add on for MSFS that ran over 800 pages. The cost of printer cartridges was more than the actual add on airplane it'self so I had it printed at Office Max for about $10.
