tflash Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 I must say that for some reason 1.12a totally transformed the game for me. Although it doesn't show from the documentation, it runs much more smoothly and ultrastable. As a consequence, I can now actually FLY the Su-25T (yes indeed!). In 1.11 it was a falling brick that was totally unmanoevrable on my system, and now I can even enjoy flying it and get on average a better performance on the missions I made. I still think the F/A-18C Hornet is the most beautiful 3D-model in the game and I mostly write fierce naval battles for it, but at least I can now understand why people fly the ugly little froggy. Anyway, Kudos for ED for not only having delivered a better FC but also the very best classic Lockon game! Most posts focus on specific details, but did anyone else notice this big overall improvement or was there just a problem with my previous install? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Sleek Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 shame the F/A-18's not flyable..ohoh!! here we go....:) Be Good..Be Strong..:drink: ;)

Jay Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Yea, I'd like to have the Hornet flyable too, it would be great adition, especially for it's SEAD capability. It would be also very useful for MP missions. As for 1.12, I'm very satisfied with this patch, but I also reinstalled Lomac before applying it, because of some stuttering which became more and more annoying. Now I have clear instalation and the game works pretty smoothly. MP is also very stable. I've been flying on-line for few days only and to be honest, I didn't expect that, but it works without any problem. SUBS17 Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Yesterday I flew a Mig29 online and forgot to turn the mirrors off for better FPS. To my surprise I didn't need to turn them off she was smooth flying. I like the improvements on the RWR sounds. Very cool:icon_supe [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
Fish Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 ...........1.12a totally transformed the game for me........................as a consequence, I can now actually FLY the Su-25T Here's the only documented change to the SU25 "The drag index for ECM MPS-410 "Omul", L-081 "Fantasmagoria", ODAB-500 has been decreased." Apart from this i've not noticed a difference in performance. It's still the trickiest A/C to fly, but also the most rewarding. What I do notice, but it was prabably there in 1.1.1 is a significant difference between the handling of the 25 and the 25T, with the 25 easier to maneuever and handle than the T. (the difference in aircraft weights would account for this, provided the engines performance on both variants were similar). Alfa Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Speaking about the Hornet, I remember someone once posting that he was very impressed with the F/A-18C 3D model in Lock-on - amoung the things he pointed out was the very distinct blue tint of the canopy glass......to which someone else replied; "Yes the blue tinted canopy looks GREAT!.....but unfortunately this was fixed with the last patch" Cheers, - JJ.
